... nothing deeply enjoyable, you'll just see random faces of people you never saw before, most likely not even a full song will be included in it...

There is a chance that it has full songs in between backstage/behind the scenes. I have a few dvds like that and last i check Dir en Grey's Age Quod Agis is like that as well.

  2. When it comes to classic rock yes. Everything else not really but I do still enjoy Take Off Your Pants and Jacket or some old school Linkin Park. I can't help but feel around that time Queen of the Damned possibly lead to my current musical tastes and influences.

I don't really remember most of the music I listened to around then since I had few cd's and aything else I heard was on the radio. it wasn't until 2003 when i got my first bass and really started listening to music. I would say at most 10% of my music collection is what I used to listen to back then.

^ Pretty much this for me too though I'm only really a fan of Dream Theatre's first album. I also love Rush myself.

Train of Thought for me, though I've lost interest in post-systematic chaos years. I recently got a whole new appreciation for rush now that I have they're studio discography in 24-bit. I hope In Rio comes out in 24-bit so I can listen to that in it's entirety again with new ears so to speak.

  4. Dream Theater cause me to crave hour long masterpieces, I loved that they take me on a journey. The problem that I have now is when I listen to a 35-40min album I feel like the album has just come to an abrupt stop like when I listen to classic Rush or 80 metal albums. Because of this I'm determined to have all b-sides and non album tracks just so I can have complete recording sessions.

  5. @Zeus you mean ZX1? if you do then omg I am so jealous that is a beauty right there. it's a bit pricey though. I'm thinking of upgrading to a pioneer xdp-300r at some point in the future, or what ever the future equivalent will be. I want to get a player with 2 dual sd slots so that way when the 512gb micro sd's come out I can have all 850gb of my music on one player. curse you San Disk bring out those 2tb micro sd already

  6. So it finally came and this thing blows me away, it makes transcode sound amazing. the only things that bothers me is that when using it with bluetooth in my car i have to turn off clear audio + and turn on the DSEE HX. also it's in japanese only instead of the 13 language version but I expected that and have already gotten used to it. can't read but I know what all the options do at least haha.

I ordered Moon, just hope it will be more interesting than X/Y. I found them really easy even if they add some interesting features.

it's a lot more interesting, just a short boring post game similar to X/Y. difficulty is a bit higher than X/Y a few npc are hackers like hau, his fucking raichu knows thunderbolt before level 42. pikachu learns it at 42 and the tm isn't until the last island. some npc's have non-alola variants as well as hidden abilities.

It took me about 3 hours, but I finally tried "calling for" my first shiny. Got an Alolan Meowth because that was what showed up when I decided to try. It took so long my whole team leveled up 5 or 6 times ;(

Of fucking course it evolves with friendship though. Got it to evolve and showed it to ethnic Oak, and now I have a big blue cat sitting in my PC box.

that's why i like events, to me they feel more special. i got over 3,000 pokemon just from events and it's fun using them in my game with the rule that i cant erase event exclusive moves. I cant wait to tranfser over my heart stamp pikachu to evolve into alolan raichu for stab.

Foobar2k playlists works for me, how is it not working for you?

it would skip songs for no reason. it would just play the album or artist instead of the playlist and it wouldn't import my playlists.

  10. +1 for Poweramp paid version.

better UI and features than samsung music and google play (i don't need internet radio though). I chose it over the free foobar2000 and Onkyo apps since they seemed to have trouble with 24bit 96khz audio.

foobar2000 mobile doesn't like playlists apparently.

I don't enjoy using any apps eq adjustments on my phone since it has a shitty amp module and for some reason when I adjust one frequency  it lowers the volume and distorts most of my music.

honestly I got tired of using my phone especially since I got a 200gb card in it causing it to over heat. I just ordered a sony walkman A series and got some sol republic shadows which both have aptX bluetooth codec.

I feel that it's just better to get a dedicated DAP with decent DAC and amp module. I would stick with my ipod classic if it had bluetooth. damn battery would last a week until I started plugging it in to my mazda 3's usb port to listen to it. Now after 9 years I'm lucky if it lasts me for a day. Just gonna wait until the 1tb ssds get a major price drop then i'll just use my ipod for my car.

Edit: I'm acually using Poweramp paid ver3 beta since that can handle 24bit 96khz audio and playlists.

The game has taken over my life, as I expected. lol I cannot believe how good it is.

Getting rid of gyms was such a fantastic idea by Game Freak. These trials are incredibly fun - the Fire one in particular is hilariously cheeky and I love it.

finally gotten through the first island after i corrupted my save twice. are the other trials any better? So far I am not liking this call for help crap, every time right when i'm about to throw a ball. I really don't like that super training is gone I had fun with it and I preferred that over countless battles, runaways or save modding.

Yup! Need to check it out asap, the singles sounded promising and were really enjoyable.

Will probably post my thoughts about the new album on here.

Also listened to SAOR's new album and it's beautiful, need more spins though.

+ the new Ravencult sounds really great!

I'm more hoping that the acoustic piece Tosin played during the BMTH tour is on the new album. Either way I'm sure they will blow my mind for the 4th time.

  13. Getting Sun since my girl is getting Moon

Not hyped at all, sadly. I just like to collect events and reddit has ruined that.

most likely my last pokemon game i get untill crystal and emerald are released on the eshop.

only pokemon i'm interested in is Alolan raichu. though i am looking forward to nicknaming lycanroc Yuuki haha

would give out my FC but i'm still rocking ver 11.0 so i can inject wondercards, i can't get online.

  14. @emmnyI kinda agree. Reita seems to only stand out on Deracine Wasteland and Deux (at the beginning). that's what you can expect with a bass at standard tuning and two guitars at dropped B.

I wanted to say he stands out on Bizarre, but after the live turns out that's a backing track with Uruha tapping over it. However, I'm pretty sure Reita picks up the slack if they were to play Grudge live.

@YuyoDrift I wouldn't say Kai carries the album. in all 3 releases however, i feel like my attention keeps getting drawn to Kai like as if the producer raised the level of his mix compared to everyone else. One of these days Kai's kicks are gonna blow out my car's bose system haha.

either way they should release the entire dogma sessions in 24-bit audio. maybe that will settle the debate haha.

  15. @Dogprince21English, I was thrown off by the band greeting me and speaking in english haha. Aoi was quiet and didn't really say anything to anyone. though it seemed like he had fun being behind the curtain making hand puppets while we waited in the pit haha.

It seemed like Toxic and onward were rushed, to me those 3 still feel new. If you look at the the length of the songs it's only 1hour 7min. I expected it to be a little bit longer maybe 3-4 more songs, but since they weren't following the itinerary they sent out i knew it was gonna be short. vip was supposed to be let in at 6 with the show starting at 8. we didn't get in till maybe 6:45 and i believe the show started late. with the original plan it seemed like the set would be at least 90min. I know playing a 2 hour show can be a bit much but not wanting to do a longer set is no excuse for failing to follow the schedule. I used to be a live audio & lighting tech, it really peeves me when a show schedule is not followed.

  16. @Dogprince21 Older songs? that set list is less than 25% pre Toxic. I was at least hoping for Nausea & Shudder, Invisible Wall, Guren and/or Remember the Urge. with the prices i feel a bit ripped off with only an hour long set.

yeah i felt like "you guys are fucking crazy" was a bit out of place. it's not like there was a mosh pit. To me it sounded like he was saying "jump the fuck up".

when i met Aoi that was pretty funny. i asked him if i could take a picture with him for my bday and he's all "yes yes, ok thank you" and waved goodbye. i was so confused if i should snap a selfie with him. when i reached for my phone security was already pushing me out. :/

@-NOVA- You know I was thinking that since none of the crew had identifying passes or stickers. but the only crew wearing the sweater was the GazettE's crew and not the venues. Being hispanic I obviously don't look like the band's crew to anyone working at the venue lol.

  17. @-NOVA- was it just me or was it only crew wearing my sweater? when i was putting away my merch some woman came up to me and asked if i was crew (fucking wish i was still doing live audio). the only reason i can think was my sweater, i didn't see anyone else in line with it, at least on my side of the building haha.

You weren't allowed to take pictures or record during their performance, but I think the security was just like "there are way too many people in this crowd to actually get to someone snapping pictures".

same happened here until towards the end some girl was recording and they tried taking her phone away but gave up haha.

i took like 2 pictures during the encore and 2 when they took their bow.

because this was a birthday present from my girlfriend she had me go into the pit while she stayed at the wall behind me. i don't know how to feel about her taking over 100 pictures.. i feel bad out of respect for the band but at the same time, when the hell am i gonna get to see the GazettE in my hometown again!?!?

    Those Bastards!

No but seriously, if I had not missed the M&G, then I would have snuck in a panoramic selfie with the GazettE right before getting tackled by the bouncer huehuehue.

    *sigh*

    Next time.

you didn't miss much all you missed was maybe early access (an hour in advance for me) a shirt with their logo on the front and "Abyssus Abyssum Invocat" on the back. i like the other shirts on sale instead so i had to buy those. they weren't signing anything or taking photos with fans during the meet and greet. all they were doing was...

    shaking hands...

the highlight for me was when an outburst of laughter came from Ruki after i told him i was listening to lamb of god. He asked me what i was listing to because i had my headphones on full blast around my neck. i'm not sure what he found funny though the fact that i was listening to another band and not them, the band itself or the fact that i was listening to lamb of god after they played so much of them before the show started lol.

oh and incase anyone is interested, the setlist

    NIHIL
    DOGMA
    RAGE
    Derangement
    Venomous Spider's Web
    Sludgy Cult
    BIZARRE
    Dripping Insanity
    OMINOUS
    The Suicide Circus
    Vortex
    UGLY
    UNDYING
    Filth in the Beauty

    Encore:
    Agony
    Cockroach
    Tomorrow Never Dies

    yeah...

I love these songs, but i cant help feeling that we got the short end of the stick...

Now I'm sad that I didn't get to go to the show in SF. Thanks, guys! :P

I know the feeling. I missed out on Sadie for free because i screwed up my ankle while hiking. i could have gone but i felt the pain was too much. now i'm worried if i'll ever see them.

I was honestly surprised (and pleased) at the NYC show when the crowd got the courage to get a pit started.

Yes - some people ignored the request of no photos

I'm not suprised. I think it's more of the fact that gazette has a metal influence/structure. Every metal show i've been to there was a mosh pit.  Last i checked the east coast gets a lot of good metal shows and festivals, so i would expect moshing over there.

no photo request? awe lame :( i get it but damn i wanted to get a close up shot. are you sure it not just "no flash photography"?

  20. With those videos Ryo is uploading it seems like he recently spent money on quite a bit of equipment and plug ins. I don't think he's gonna let it go to waste.

Though he could just stick with being a producer and work with other bands.

I feel like we wil go inside at 7 and the show itself will start later possibly 7:30 or 8 since we need time to get everyone inside

I got VIP so i got updated with a schedule,

    6pm VIP entry
    7pm doors open

    8pm show starts

    10pm meet & greet

also if anyone needs an extra ticket my friend canceled at the last minute

  22. no i believe your correct there. it  is the "MIYAVI Universal Music Years SHM-CD COLLECTION". Maybe this is to generate revenue to buy the rights to the first two albums.

also i believe it is just the regular editions kabuki rock and 7SS don't mention anything about a dvd.
