I generally avoid looking directly on the lens, than lightly press it with my finger so there's no air left under the lens and it slides onto its place easily after I blink a couple of times. that's weird, generally contacts have stronger ocular power for the same dioptre than glasses; those of my friends who switched noticed it too. sometimes wrong prescription can cause extra blurriness and discomfort though, sometimes you have to cycle through a couple of brands to get the right one (I can't wear ciba vision contacts for example)
