Isn't the series redubbed simply because it was the only way to actually get it released in English because of licensing issues and so forth? So they had to take a choice:

    1) Not release it.
    2) Release it without no (English) dub at all.
    3) Redub it so they can have a (English) dub.

Would it really have been better if they had gone with either of the two first options?

PS: Anime dubs suck major fucking ass no matter what and are, unless you are a kid or have some kind of dyslexia, a retarded fucking way to watch anime.

You're really gonna blame Netflix for what director Yoshiharu Ashino and writer Eugene Son?

Just ordered a pair of the Massdrop x HIFIMAN HE4XX Planar Magnetic Headphones last week and they are already shipped and on the way! Couldn't believe it considering that the ship date was not supposed to be till the middle of July. I really don't need to buy anymore headphones, this pair is gonna make number 10, at this point my headphone rack is starting to look like a youtube reviewers setup

I just couldn't resist these sexy things...

the plus side is that these supposedly sound a lot different than most of the cans in my collection, at least according to several reviewers so... I guess having options in sound signature is pretty dope

Finally getting around to Mob Psycho 100 at the moment. I love it so far. Kind of reminds me of the Excel Saga manga, which is a huge compliment coming from me.

It's been a while and I've made some serious upgrades. The whole rig is basically a brand new computer. Here's the porn.

I updated everything in this bad boy and I can feel the difference. Trust me when I say pay the price or pay it twice, because I spent a lot of money upgrading parts one by one because the old parts were showing their age. The biggest differences for me were the following:

New case! Old case I had was the last of a floor model Corsair 350D Microcenter sold to me for $7. This is much nicer, has all the screws, and more room inside for cable management. I forgot the exact model of this case, but it's a Cooler Master. 1080 is now a 1080ti. Did that before the RTX cards dropped, and honestly with the promising results of CryEngine I don't see a need to upgrade to 2080ti right now. I could if I wanted to, but one's e-peen can only have so much girth. New CPU! I have an i7-8700k in that case, to replace the i5-4690k I burnt out when the fan died. Went the extra mile and delidded the CPU to put some liquid metal inside, and that reduced the temperatures by 4 to 7 C on top of the gains from replacing the entire cooling system. CPU is overclocked to 4.8GHZ at 1.31V. It doesn't stay at 5GHZ stable, but 5GHZ is mostly an e-peen thing and there's no practical difference gained by bumping it up 200mhz. Corsair AIO to replace the jet engine that was the CPU fan. Too lazy to do a full water cooling loop. 3 case fans are Corsair LL 140s. I had a lot of passive cooling in the PC when I used air, and that residual heat aged my parts over time. With these fans in there + the AIO, my PC runs at room temperature when playing games. New desk! The old one was super tiny and limited me on what I could buy. Also limited my mouse space when playing games, which made playing competitive shooters with low sensitivity a pain in the ass.   New desk means new monitor! That's an LG 34" G-SYNC 1440p 21:9 100fps ultra wide screen monitor, just in case any of my friends forgot who was the most boujee out of all of us. Games with proper 21:9 support are heaven. The screen alone cost $1500.

If you want a really good old school style JRPG to sink your teeth into, I can Recommend Dragon Quest XI. One of my favorite games from last year and you could easily sink 100+ hours into its story and post game activities. Just be warned that it is very "purist" in a lot of its design, so if that doesn't bother you I'd say it's a good pick.

I've been playing the hell out of Yakuza 0 recently... finally bit the bullet and started it up last month, I regret not starting it sooner. I'm already done with the main scenario and now i'm sinking a ton of time into completing all the sub stories and mini games

And I just started Assassin's Creed Odyssey, and man does this game really remind me of The Witcher 3.... in a good way! I'm really digging what I've played so far and I'm glad that I can finally enjoy another AC game again, after the disaster that Unity was I never went back. Feels good to know they bounced back.

I'm also Twitch streaming now occasionally, most nights around 9pm CST for a few hours. anyone that wants to drop by feel free! http://twitch.tv/towa_sky

Just beat Horizon Zero Dawn. It was my first "shooter" type game and I had a great time with it.

Since then I've been looking for a good JRPG to play but nothing really hooks me the way Persona 5 and Nier Automata did. Replaying Xenosaga on PS2 kinda remedied that, but damn, I need more--something to really sink all my time into. I'm just a picky bitch!!

Debating on picking up FFXIV again, but pugging dungeons with randos kinda stressed me out. I also ran out of things to do in the game. I don't raid, craft, sell or RP, so I just quit after leveling the classes I liked and finishing the Stormblood MSQ. I'd probably be bored if I came back, even with Shadowbringers coming. That's what my anti-social ass gets for treating an MMO like an offline single player game. :')

Definitely the language barrier, people just don't understand the concept of vocals not being the only part that matters in music, there's this weird perception (at least where I'm from) that the most important part of a song is the vocals and if it doesn't have vocals or it's in another language then it's not worth their attention... I can't even begin to explain how backwards this is, music is made up of more than just the vocalist and the lyrics, but people are hard pressed to listen to a pure instrumental song around here, it seem no vocals = boring music that's not worth the time. Not to mention there's a little something call vocal melody that you don't need to understand the language to hear.

then there's the people that see VK bands and it turns into a sexism thing.

You see I think that is stupid, honestly if it was up to me I would rename the thread to "unpopular anime opinions" or something of the like and have interesting thought provoking discussions/debates rather than mindless drivel that doesn't mean shit other than asserting that you don't like a certain series for no reason other than "just cuz".

Ten years ago on this exact day my thirteen year old self was browsing myspace, like most kids my age back then did in their free time, when I came across a post on a Jrock group I frequented at the time. The post was by a "Jake" advertising a brand new Jrock forum that he and a friend created just earlier that day. At the time I was chomping at the bit for any new way to discover new Japanese rock music (VK in particular), I immediately registered and became the fourth member of that brand new empty forum. That forum's name was Tainted World and the Jake and friend in question were none other than Spike760 and Ito.

Since that day I have had many ups and downs with this community for better and worse. I've discovered a thousand or more bands, talked with hundreds of people from all corners of the world, made dozens of friends and like minded acquaintances, and even made a few enemies as well. I have witnessed every drama thread/post/chat log that this forum has generated, participated in profound thought invoking discussions that have sprouted up in various topics over the course of a decade, and even was here to witness the almost catastrophic implosion of the site back in 2010-2011 that led to the current domain name. I became a moderator and for a time actually did my job quite well (LOL) this gave me a direct line to grow the community in other ways than just music, in those efforts I would like to believe that the anime and video game fans of the community found this place a little more accommodating and welcome.

In ten years my musical taste has gone through multiple transformations that were no doubt in big part due to the people here in this community. I have grown as a person due to my time here, I've learned how to deal with life's unfortunate circumstances and how to cope when things go bad. This place has been a eternal sanctuary for me in my depressing and boredom filled times. I'm now twenty four years old and no longer the child I was when I came to this place, that in itself is a little sad, since my most fun and memorable moments were from those early years when I was still in middle and high school just trying to find a place I could fit in and kill some time.

But one thing is for sure... This place is a second home for me, no matter how busy my life gets I know that I can come back here and just be myself and feel good about it.

Ten years? I say that's not enough. I won't be satisfied until I can say I've been apart of this place for 20 years, what the hell fuck it. 30 years! Why not? WE CAN KEEP THE DREAM ALIVE  AS LONG AS WE BELIEVE!

"One day, early in the summer of 2018, I was drunk. And I told myself.
I want to play with them again, with NUMBER GIRL, at RISING.
And then, I thought to myself that I wanted to make money. I was drunk.
So I called them. For the first time in a very long time.
And finally, we will do it.
And if possible, I wish it was not a one-shot."

I Also just started Metro: Exodus and goddamn is this just about the best graphics I've ever seen, 4A is really pushing some amazing super graphics with this engine. Some of the lighting effects are the most impressive I've ever seen.

    Kingdom Hearts 3 (PS4)

After thirteen years since the last titled game, KH3 finally gets released. So far I'm loving the game and can't help but be amazed at the pretty graphics. Combat is fun and music remains stellar as always. This game won't turn anyone into a convert if they did not like the previous installments.

The new forms/keyblades are addictive to try out, and I am constantly switching between the different types of offensive spells. In any case, I am thoroughly enjoying it. (Hopefully, they'll release a more difficult mode because even the 'proud' mode in KH3 feels a little too easy...)

    L.A. Noire (HD Remastered, PS4)

Originally released on the PS3 and XBox, it received a HD remaster. I have not finished it yet, but I admire the realistic details of LA during the 1940s. Sometimes, the graphics look wonky with some bugs here and there, but these glitches have not yet detracted my attention away. When examining the game, it appears to be a typical sleuth-solving-crime game, and for the most part, it is. To me, though, it is far from being mundane. There are clues to find, suspects and witnesses to question, and bad guys to chase down - which means there are plenty of actions parts. You will be involved in shoot-outs or race (either by foot or car) after criminals who attempt to escape. It's not a perfect game, but I think there are some merits to it.
