I don't think it's a Wii U situation at all tho, there's so much buzz and hype around this thing that's totally different from the WiiU, nobody talked about he WiiU like how people are talking about the switch, it's totally different from a commercial standpoint. Nintendo has actually done a really good job this time around with letting people know exactly what the switch is and what it does, and not beat around the bushes about it. Their advertisement and marketing is on point as well. Now the press conference did leave a bad taste in my mouth like most people, but let's be real, that has always been the case with Nintendo conferences, they just don't have that spark that the western conferences have or more recently the Sony conferences. That's part of the reason why they went to the online video method, and also that's why the wiiU was such a misunderstood console XD
but I digress, the launch lineup at this time doesn't look the most exciting, will most people buy the console just for Zelda, probably. Is it a smart decision, absolutely not.
 
Can we talk about the fact that this thing is not gonna be region locked for a second tho? Because that shit is huge!

So I started watching a new anime this season called Kuzu no Honkai.  That title interested me because its (official) translation is basically "Scum's Wish" and that's not something you see everyday lol.
 
 
The trailer doesn't do it any justice; it makes it seem like any other romance anime so I wasn't sure whether to watch it or not... but hey, it's a noitaminA show so it's worth a try at least. In the end, it was different than I thought it would be! The main characters don't seem to be the nicest people and there's an interesting premise: they both are in love with someone who doesn't love them back, so they're going out with each other to be those people's replacement for each other. It's a bit messed up and surprisingly NSFW (especially for a noitaminA show), but strangely endearing. It has some light-hearted humor but not too much, most of the episode was narrated by the protagonist and that's nice. Some of the lines remind me of manga, and it's probably on purpose since there are also some manga-like panels thrown in. It was a good first episode overall, I'll definitely keep watching it. Apparently the manga is still being published, but the whole anime is set to have 11 episodes.
 
I also finally watched Litle Witch Academia's movies! I really like them, so I'm gonna start the TV series soon too.

15 episodes into Gundam IBO and good lord this is so great so far. I don't want to speak too soon, but this is shaping up to potentially be one of the best Gundam series that I've seen. It REALLY feels like a U.C. Gundam series too, which is amazing for an alt. universe Gundam series imo.

2016 was an ... interesting year. I came to grips with my status as a visual kei fan of shit turn of the century disbanded bands and ojisan rock, but found new comers convincing enough to keep me around. Albums I had been waiting on forever finally released and invigorated my passion for music halfway through the year like it always does. A few surprises were sprinkled throughout the year and while I felt that the year was lacking in great music looking back it's not so bad. This year certainly left a better impression on me musically than any year since 2011 - and that's saying a lot for me since that's the year that I started doing these lists.

As I finally got a PS4 I started to play The Last Guardian and it's so beautiful <3 Trico is such a cute giant monster  

On 2017.01.11, Ircle will release a new mini album called 「Copper Ravens」. It will cost 1500 yens + taxes. Furthermore, they will hold a live tour called ～Raven claw tour～ from 2017.01.11 to 2017.03.16 to promote the release of the mini album.

Mine are to organize my digital (read: pirated) music collection, proper tags, album art, and folder structure. Also to play more of my backlogged game collection, mainly a lot of Japanese RPGs that I haven't gotten to.

That won't happen here. I promise as long as I'm the server owner, everyone will be treated equally and hostile and malicious behavior will not be tolerated. The reason the skype chat became like that is because it was unofficial and was out of our hands, none of us had any power over it.
 
At the moment the only people who are moderated are the staff here that have joined the server. But like I said I'm looking into giving certain members limited mod powers to help out with the server, but of course that will be in the future.

god damn @CAT5I'm in LOVE with 88kasyo! replaying nonstop. what a freaking good song! Any tips on album to start listening to them?
 
@benithe lights is really interesting aswell. kind of a raw gem, but definitely shows they are on the right path!

I can chill on it while I game since I usually use it anyways to chat with random gaming buddies. I have no issues with voice chat and I'm quite talkative if there are other with similar interests there with me. I'll add the server later tonight when I get home from work.
 
@Original SakuI'd help out with modding if you need a hand.

The addition of non-prejudiced moderators would likely be my first incentive for joining, indeed. If this turns out to be anything like the Skype chat used to be (quite hostile, a lot of member-bashing and an unmonitored environment which was a perfect place for starting fights), I think a lot of users will be greatly discouraged. 

I downloaded Discord instead of using the browser version and it was much better than the browser version. Worked fairly well to be honest. Was nice.

YEP. My GOTY personally. it's just such a 'special' game that you just have to experience it for yourself.
