  1. I didn't really care for Six that much myself, but I don't really remember seriously listening to it. I did love Versus though.

As for Rouge, I'm very surprised that there's 11 new songs. I'm glad it isn't going to be a rehash of a bunch of their old singles, or worse, a rehash of their last two singles and 5 new songs. I loved "Pressed Flower," but didn't really like anything on Viridian. I'll try to get my hands on the regular edition.

  2. Evoke the World isn't being rerecorded so I'm not that excited for the second disc. I've only been liking one or two songs per every large release so I'm a bit skeptical at the moment.

  3. Yes actual. "Heavy" is a class in an online shooter game, Team Fotress II (he was probably in the first one, but I never played it). As his name implies, he's their heaviest character, thus making him the slowest, but he gets to use a gatling gun named "Sasha."

Like the rest of the characters in the game, Heavy takes on the role of an ethic stereo type. This character is Russian and has the ability to equip boxing gloves, 2 types of gatling guns, and the oportunity to use a sandwich to heal himself (entitled "sanvich"). Other ethnic groups include the sniper being Australian, the spy being French, the medic being German, the soldier being American, and the Scout having a Brooklyn accent (being from New York, that just means he's from the old country).

Now why "Peace Heavy?" Good question. Well, in one server I noticed people named themselves "Red Peace Heavy," and "Blue Peace Heavy." The entire game all the did was stand around using the sanvich and didn't do anything else. It was amusing to see 4 or 5 people doing the same thing, but for people who taking gaming as srs bsns it wasn't. Hearing angry 15 year olds scream "FUCKING WASTE OF TIME DO SOMETHING!!1!1!!!!" into their microphones made the losing effort worth while.

"MK II" is also another reference, but this time to Zeta Gundam. Click here for more information on that. I added that to my name because the other Tainted World died and I didn't feel it was worth it to get my account back.

  4. Kind-of-but-not-really looking forward to this. I've been trying hard to like them for a while but their releases have been hit-or-miss with me...mostly missing. I didn't like "Murder Scope," didn't bother listening to "Genesis," I thought "R" was boring, and "Hiai to Melancholy" pisses me off.

However: songs like "Anomie," "Eternal Symphony," "Utopia," and "Tsuki no Suna" are amazingly good.

As I said, kind-of-but-not-really looking forward.

  5. really terribad indies band that end up with 200 listeners and any more than five people saying they've "GOT POTENTIAL OMG" or "THEY COULD BE SO BIG HERP DERP"

    D

I don't really see how that makes them overvalued. As you said, it's usually 5 people who don't say anything on any other page with more than 800 listeners. Granted it is annoying, and rather ironic. that a lot of people like that talk shit about anything that actually does well, they really aren't that much of an over-hype inconvenience.

  6. nu-metal kei

    THIS.

    ???

There's a "kei" for everything now?

I believe he means the influx of new visual bands from 2007~2010 that play heavier songs but aren't exactly metal. Lycaon, ???????, &, Alsdead, Nega, etc.

  7. Ascendead Master doesn't really count; the "bonus tracks" were just instrumentals from their movie-thing. PRINCE / PRINCESS was just for the members on the cover but there wasn't a difference between any of the special versions.

What I meant by that is they intend on releasing 3 songs so type A is just the title track, type B is title + B-side, type C is title + another B-side.

  8. Can anything half-assedly-classically inspired not have "...but sounds like Versailles..." in a fan description?

Anyway, I like how Kaz, pretty much the underdog and "LOL Y IS HE HERE?" member, has now become their guitar god even though the impression was that Erinia left Dio to be that.

  9. I hope they don't pull a Kisaki management and make it only 3 songs split up through 3 releases >:( . I doubt they would though; I take it their releases sell out pretty quickly even though they don't have a 600 copy limit.
