They could have at least not copied and pasted the link you posted's words when they reported it.
  2. The Beatles are kind of boring anyway and Nirvana were gross.

    Brilliant.

Kind of related to this, Velvet Eden has a new guitarist named "Chro," who looks to be female. Edit: J/k, it's a trap.

Wow, what's his face doesn't suck as much. Aside from the vocals, it kind of sounds like a strange mixture of Vidoll and Lynch. , but for some reason I'm rather okay with that.

And their OHP say something about a release called "MoGuRO" as well that came out 11/26/2011. Shame their website is pretty crap when it comes to finding out info :

Well, at least they got a replacement. Do they have a new release coming up soon?

Is there a way to save save files to a memory card like a PS2 could? I (finally) got some more PS3 games and would like to bring them to school, but I don't want to have to play them twice (once on my own system, and then on my friend's upstate). Is there a way to transport the saves back and forth? I kind of read a little on it and the answers looked a bit bleak

^ He's not *that bad.* He's far from perfect, though. In his defense, compare their latest releases with Metis Gretel's early singles to see how much he's improved in 8 years.

Ohhh, a demo CD. I guess that means they'll be a real version in the future.

Haven't listened to it enough to give a song by song analysis yet, but I will soon. After the first listen, this mini was really un-monumental for me . It seems like D has ditched their gawfy neo-classical motif for good (although I'm a bit late to that pity party: the did that once they released Genetic World) and really only write songs in two facets now: heavy, up tempo pop rock songs with some metal influence, and by that I mean loud guitar chords and low tuned guitars to sound heavier, or light, whimsical ballads so people can faun over Asagi's ~dreamy~ vocals. It's gotten to the point were there's less and less mishmosh between the two kinds of songs and it's a blatant heavy or not heavy song. I'm not one to complain about bands doing their thing. I mean, look at -OZ-. They're pretty much some sort of metal-core and once they started playing that genre of music, they stuck with it. Awesome, because they're good at it. But at least they try to make their fast tempoed songs sound like they're full of new ideas (with some unfortunate mishaps here and there in the ctrl+c department). But with D, it's like they're trying to forcibly find this new "normal" for them, but instead of a gradual experimentation, it was kind of abruptly decided "This is what our heavy songs are like. This is what our slow songs are like. Pick 2 numbers between 1 and 6 and that's how many of each will be on our next album." I guess that argument can be made about any band someone doesn't really like, but what bothers me here is how blatantly black and white that issue is. I mean, it wasn't even handled in some sort of post-modern, "we're doing this to occupy Warner!!!" hoopla way either: it was "we need another cd omgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomg." /vent I guess my frustration stems from really being disappointed in how skewed their ratio of "stuff point out" to "stuff worth listening to more than twice" is, especially since I really started to be a fan after The 7th Rose. Overall, the mini didn't seem awful. The only song that really stood out to me was track five because it seemed very reminiscent of old kote-kei rush songs, sans the German. I really wanted to love the title track based on the pv sample, but it sounded like a mixture of that Alice song and Nocturnal with some Chinese instruments thrown in here and there. Wasn't that song supposed to be it's successor? I guess it worked then. Also, the "Desert Warrior" growls were cool, but they used them way too much here, causing everything to blend into one for me. Track by track to come, one day.

This is kind of a tough question for me. On the one hand, I barely even hear lyrics (even in English). Sure, I hear the vocalist, but I think in terms of pitch rather than ~meaning~ when listening to a song for the first few times. I guess this is because of Japanese music: I'm used to only hearing garbled sounds that end in vowels that flow in a rhythmic (or arrhythmic) pattern that somehow sounds nice. After those first few listens, however, I do start to pay attention to the words. I'd say more often than not I don't really dote on what the song is saying unless it is completely stupid (see also: Dir en Grey's songs that are as many bad words in English Kyo could remember, System of a Down, Mindless Self Indulgence, most metal-core that has clean vocals that make me wish they were screaming so I can't understand how stupid their lyrics are, etc etc). A lot of radio-friendly songs have stupid lyrics, but they aren't as appalling to me as they are to everyone else whose like "EWW THE RADIO I ONLY LISTEN TO GOOD MUSIC." In fact, their badness / trashiness is makes the experience all the more entertaining. "Your daddy must be a drug dealer / Why? / 'Cuz you dope!" I have a hard spot for songs that spell, too. Of course, there are songs in English whose lyrics I find to be really pretty. Some examples include 30 Seconds to Mars' "Night of the Hunter," AFI's "Torch Song," a lot of HIM's soppy lyrics (I guess pointing out which aren't soppy would be a shorter list), and a few others that I cannot remember because I just woke up. The above paragraph more or less only applies to music in English (note: not occidental music). Gradually my Japanese is becoming more and more substantial and I am slowly picking up on words here and there. I'm no where good enough to be able to translate most songs, but I can figure out the gist of things if I have the written lyrics in front of me. Once I do get the point of being able to translate, I'm sure I'll realize how dumb most VK songs are. Then I'll seppuku As for the world view part, it really depends. I know that Epica's latest album was about communism and freedom and all that good stuff, but that never really stopped me from enjoying their music even if I am not in favor of a communist system of government. I'm not really big on anti-religious lyrics, so that's why I never bother to look up black metal lyrics if I do happen to like a song of that genre every once and a while because I feel like that would ruin the experience for me. I guess the offensiveness really depends on how srsbsns the band is. Take that song some country guy wrote write after 9/11 : something about putting a boot up the ass of terrorists? Ridiculous, over zealous, patriotic lyrics whose odor of 'Murika drives me away from ever listening to that, and the fact that he was drop-dead serious makes it all the more unbearable. A counter example would be Rin's "A. Hitlor." Pseudo-sorta-not-really old-school naziploitation themed rush song from their first album that has lyrics about following an ideology. Aside from spelling out H-i-t-l-e-r (correctly, unlike the title) , there really aren't any other hints about Naziism in the song that I should get all huffy over. Because they weren't being serious in the least, I do not find that to be offensive. That doesn't mean a band can make music about raping children and then follow it up with a statement saying "LOL JK WE WERE KIDDING WWWWWW" and I'd be cool with it. There is a distinct line between trying to be edgy and it doesn't work, and being sick.

I learn words from song titles all the time! I also look at the grammar in song lyrics and harass my Japanese teachers about what it means Favorites: 花 / 華 (Hana) : Flower 自殺願望 (Jisatsuganbou) : Death wish / Suicidal Desire セフレ (Sehure) : Fuck buddy 肉便器 (nikunyouki) : Meat Urinal 夢 (Yume) : Dream 切断 (setsudan) : Cutting, amputation 奴隷 (dorei) : Slave

The Sims 3 as of late. I made a buxom red head named "Jynger Snapp" and had her wear fishnets and come-do-me boots. She's currently in the "criminal" career path and is employed as a "get away driver." Currently she is in a love triangle among her boss, Melissa (?) , and her wigger co-worker Xander. Her life aspiration is to be the girlfriend of 10 different Sims. She picked a great life to lead!
