Oh wow. I don't own any of their CDs, so I'll try to save up for this assuming it isn't 1,000,000,000,000 yen.

lmao at this video being what smile dk mixed with Miyavi's "Pop is Dead" video would sound like.

No, that's not Herpes.

Is the main riff in "Storytime" the same as the one in the intro part of "Master Passion Greed?" I only like the latter until the vocals start, and I just listened to it now and realized that it sounded awfully familiar.

I like "Gamble Rumble," does that count?

~Still single~ But that's because whenever people want to get close to me, now, I kind of freak out and get all "NO STOP YOU'LL JUST FUCK ME OVER LIKE HE DID." I also tend to not really be interested in most of the people I've been on a date with, and the one or two I've actually genuinely liked either want nothing to do with, aren't dating for their own issues, or feel I'm not good enough for them for a laundry list of reasons . I guess the fastest way to ensure I really like you is to constantly say no or just act interested until I seem interested back, then back off until I seem like I've moved on and make a point to tell me how jealous that makes you. Aside from that, getting dates seems to be surprisingly easy for me. It's a start, right?

According to Inartistic's site, Vior gloire are going to perform in their costumes that were leaked before the band was officially announced for a concert O:

XALTEA sound pretty cool. Shame they cut the songs in literally the most awkward spots possible.

Ooop, I meant Cinema Bizarre. Sorry, wrong group of boys in makeup.

Quoted for having my exact thoughts. I don't really care if you're not Japanese and trying to do the same sort of jig as traditional visual-kei bands, but the problem is no one has done it correctly yet. Like, at all. The closest I've seen to this happening with mainstream success is Cinema Strange, but they ~just happened to meet at an anime convention~ and ~just happened to take GazettE-ish promo pictures once~ and were coming more from a "WE LOVE ZIGGY STARDUST!!!!!" angle than a visual-kei one. With that being said, I consider them to be more glam-rock than vkei.

These titles are giving me Kneuklid Romance vibes.

Working on updating my portfolio still. Maybe one day it'll be done and then I might get a job or something

They've changed a lot of my outlook on music. When I first heard them, I thought they were awful. Gradually I started to like them a lot more, but it wasn't until maybe 3~4 years ago did I really start to consider them a favorite as opposed to a "guilty pleasure." The biggest thing they've done for me was teach me how to look past unusual vocals and get more out of a song based on the emotion placed in other areas. Look, I love Hisui a lot, but he's out of tune 95% of the time. The other 5% he's doing his outburst of emotion thing. For a while that really bothered me, but now I can really appreciate the charm in being...of key? Without Madeth, I really wouldn't like kote-kei at all. Love love love love their costumes though. I have a soft spot for awful gawf photoshopping and blown out faces, but even without liking that I still think their Lucifer photos and graphic designs are phenomenal.

YAASSSS at him returning to "Yurikago" -ish aesthetics. Half happy / half disappointed he didn't scrounge up some vkei deadbeats to make a mangled English version of "Lady Marmalade."

Ohh, yes. That section is definitely from here. In a few interviews Mana said that he and Kozi were really influenced by classical and baroque music in the early stages of Malice Mizer, so there's little doubt that this wasn't done on purpose.

I've added everyone's suggestions to the list @Wonre: ugghhh Canon in D brings back so many awful memories for me. I don't recall "Blurry Eyes" having any Pachelbel in it, though. I also added a song by Arc that uses the melody as the guitar solo which I had completely forgotten about until seeing your post. Zioovachi also has a song that's pretty much the same introduction but in a different key, but I'm trying keep it to just Vkei for now. @ Jigsaw: That's taken from somewhere? I guess that kind of proves the point of my thread: showing where original melodies come from and learning about classical music I'll add it to the list once we actually know where it comes from.
