Love the fact that they can play FOUR shows in a tiny place like Bellingham, WA but no... they obviously can't stop in Albuquerque, NM on their way between AZ and TX because there's only a minuscule 500k+ people there.

カメレオ(Kameleo) has just announced that in December they will be releasing a cover single of the song "妄想日記(Mousou Nikki)" from シド(SID). More details will be announced later. Personally I'm really excited for this. 妄想日記 was an absolutely amazing song (like just about all of early シド) and I'm really stoked to hear カメレオ's take on it.

"Old-school/90's VK wasn't really much better" With so many people parading around old-school superiority, I'd say I'm in the minority with this opinion. As someone who has been in VK for ~10 years and collects tons of old-school stuff, I can certainly say without a bit of doubt that there were a TON of really shitty bands back then. Anyone who would say otherwise is looking through some pretty rose-tinted glasses. That being said, I certainly do miss some of sub-scenes in VK that no longer exist(soft visual/white-kei/proto-oshare) and don't exactly like all of the "sounds" that bands tend to get grouped into nowadays, but I definitely can't say that one era was better or worse than the other as they all have their ups and downs.

One of the glorious perks of living in the United States of Awesome, there are no such things as customs fees(well I think there might be if you're shipping like giant pallet loads via ship, but that's it).

Music has always been commercialized? Especially in the 90s when VK bands on major labels were a dime-a-dozen and there were multiple TV shows dedicated to showcasing VK(which are no longer around and haven't been for years). Compared to the VK of the 90s, today's VK is more underground(it just seems more "commercial" and wide-spread thanks to the internet).
