I suppose. When I ordered my D live DVD it costed 4762 yen, but that was without customs. The bastards from the Dutch post company wanted me to pay 22 euros extra on the annual price + shipping. Anyway, when this DVD was released, D was still on avex trax, a big and popular label in Japan, but Lycaon are still indies, so I would expect the D DVD to be more expensive...
  2. MERRY GO ROUND live was an ok song, but I'd love to hear the studio version.
  3. A short track by track review. Megamasso - ROCKET DIVE Great cover. It has energy, fun and everything a cover song from hide needs. I can imagine why they chose this to be the radio song. Megamasso totally made it their own, which they did amazingly well. 8.5/10 Annie's Black - Gokidendori ~crawler is crazy~ Never heard of them, and after listening this cover I most probably won't ever check them out. The cover is OK but nothing memorable or special. 6/10 Aoi from ayabie - MIZERABLE Upon hearing this combination my reaction was like this: The preview didn't give me much hope either. But to be honest the whole thing isn't too bad. It's not as good as the original, but it's okay for an Aoi song. 7.5/10 v[NEU] - HOT LIMIT BETTER THAN YOUR FAVOURITES. v[NEU] didn't do that much with this song and it's good they didn't. The original is flawless, so this is equally flawless. 9/10 Blu-BiLLioN - Miraikouro Don't know these guys but this cover is really really nice! It gives a calm relaxing atmosphere. I'm hooked! 8/10 Hana Shounen Baddies - Kumonoito I don't remember much of it, even listening it back it doesn't leave that much of an impression on me. Nothing special. 5.5/10 ZUCK - BEAT Nice ballad, as I expected from them. Not as good as the Blu-BiLLioN song, but it certainly is nice enough for me to keep it on my iPod. 7.5/10 HERO - Yuuwaku Nice upbeat song, the vocalist had trouble reaching the notes sometimes, but overall they did a good job. 7.5/10 -OZ- - Shiroiyami The preview really ticked me off, but hearing the full version tells me I like it. A lot. Nice work, nice vocals, everything just fits. 8/10 Moran - ILLUMINATI Moran did a rather good job on this song, but the one thing that made me lose interest was the vocalist. He couldn't reach half of the notes in the chorus and the way he sang was just awful sometimes. Won't be listening it too much. 7/10 R-Shitei - Yurameki Not saying too much about this. NO. JUST NO. It's just like this vocalist TRIES to sound like Kyo but utterly fails. 4.5/10 amber gris - SHINE What is this I don't even...come on, Lolita23Q pulled off a better LUNA SEA cover than this! This is just boring and sounds like they didn't put much effort into this. ADAPTER - Flowers of Romance Auto-tune fest much? It's pretty lulzy to be honest, but I'm not taking it that seriously...for the funny auto-tune I'll give it a 7/10 9GOATS BLACK OUT - SPEED This disappointed me so much...Ryo has great difficulties with the notes, seeing as this is not usually the way he sings. It just doesn't fit 9GBO and this is most definitely a song they should've let someone else cover. 5/10 GUILD - Glacial love GUILD! My guilty pleasure! They did a great job making it their own, and they didn't disappoint in the least! 8/10 Chemical Pictures - Jam Boring ballad is boring. No variation, just bland vocals that don't go anywhere. The instruments don't make it any better. 4.5/10 Overall: It was an okay cover album. The first half was definitely better than the second half, but I still prefer the first cover album. Your thoughts?
  4. Wow, this amber gris cover is realllyyyy crappy. Lolita23q pulled off better on part 1
  5. Great, still have to listen the first single xD
  6. I listened the 1:30 length samples from the Japanese iTunes and these were my first impressions: 葵 - Mizerable (GACKT) - It was OK, and that's pretty good for an Aoi cover. I do feel he took the original charm out of this song for some reason. He just doesn't have the right kind of voice for this. Annie's Black - ゴキゲン鳥~crawler is crazy~ (SOPHIA) - Boring, not sure if I will bother listening the full version. ADAPTER。 - FLOWERS OF ROMANCE (CASCADE) - Auto-tune fest loooooool R指定 - ゆらめき (DIR EN GREY) - Meh, not too keen on the vocalist, for the rest it's okay, I guess. amber gris - SHINE (LUNA SEA) - No, just no, will most probably not listen to the full version of this. OZ - 白い闇 (Rouage) - This sounds pretty bad. Natsuki tries to sing in a lower voice which sounds totally awkward. But be reasonable here, they didn't have much to work with either, so I'm not judging them too harshly. ギルド - グレイシャルLOVE (SIAM SHADE) - GUILD definitely made it their own, this sounds pretty promising. I love this band. ケミカルピクチャーズ - JAM (THE YELLOW MONKEY) - OK...I guess ZUCK - BEAT (河村隆一) - Sounds relaxing and I love Yuu's voice in this, excited for the full version! 9GOATS BLACK OUT - スピード (BUCK-TICK) - Ryo has difficulties during the pre-chorus. I mean, you can clearly hear he can't find his way with it. I was really anticipating for this, but I'm afraid this will fail. ν[NEU] - HOT LIMIT (T.M.Revolution) - GREAT. BETTER THAN YOUR FAVOURITES. I mean seriously, I love the original to death. v[NEU] doesn't seem to have changed that much, but it's good they didn't. T.M.Revolution FTW 花少年バディーズ - 蜘蛛の意図 (PIERROT) - Nothing special, decent but forgettable. HERO - 誘惑 (GLAY) - Sounds OK, but what is it with the vocalist? It seems he can't completely reach the notes at some point. I definitely want to give the full version a listen though. Blu-BiLLioN - 未来航路 (La'cryma Christi) - Sounds pretty nice! Don't know these guys, but I'm impressed! メガマソ - ROCKET DIVE (hide with Spread Beaver) - AWESOME, as I would've expected from Megamasso after their latest album. I will be playing this a lot of times once it is released. Moran - ILLUMINATI (MALICE MIZER) - This sounds so awesome, but the vocals are so bland and sound...pretty bad tbh. Instrumental is awesome though.

Ever since their new direction they've been milking their fans, I mean seriously, 6 types?! Live dvd doesn't sound too interesting. Only a few old songs that haven't been remastered on their latest album (those remakes were AWFUL) so I'm not really looking forward to it. And LOLOLOL @ one song live
  8. sai

First the drummer now the bass? I hope they'll find new members, these guys are pretty good
  9. sai

i heard their song Dr. Feel Good but I thought it was...a bit too much. Didn't really like it that much, tbh
  10. I hope it's better than their recent few singles.

I'll definitely need to have a few more listens before I can make a decent review, but my first impression was 'dull'. It was like they made some songs randomly and threw it on an album without any theme or flow. It just doesn't work, it's random songs put together, it could've been a best-off playlist I put together in iTunes myself. The second half was surprisingly better than the first half (sides from VERMILION). But like said before, I might need a few more listens, perhaps I'll like it, or anyway, find it less dull. PS. What the frick were they trying to do with swallowtail? I mean, autotune usually works for bands, but for Nightmare it absolutely doesn't.

Sounds nice Can't wait for this album!

  16. Since D's new mini has been released, I thought I'd review it. Their previous single was a bit more into the 7th Rose style, so I hope this is good as well. Writing this while on my second listen. Huang di ~Yami ni umareta mukui~ - The title track is an incredibly strong track with Chinese influences here and there. It's got great guitars and drums, the bass is amazing but whatever the fuck Asagi is doing during that second pre-chorus with his voice makes me cringe a bit. it's like he's using his deep voice but misses the note. For the rest his vocals are great. They could've done a bit more with it, but I love it nonetheless. Nice track, was waiting for a track like this from D for a while! Hmm...suddenly I feel like ordering Chinese food. 9/10 Makutsuenshuuki - It starts like any other filler D track, but the guitars are a little more outstanding than usual on their fillers. It's a nice song and well done, but D definitely played it safe with this one. It fits the theme of this mini perfectly though. 8/10 Honoo no Kairou - A nice relaxing ballad from D, just what I needed. I can imagine people finding this one boring, but the Chinese instruments once again totally make the song better. The chorus is the best and most touching part of the song. 7/10 Gikyou Souden - I nearly came on this sample, so I'm eager for the full version. It most definitely doesn't disappoint, even though the instrument lines are not very original and have been done by D and many other bands before. Amazing upbeat song that can totally pump you up. DAT CHORUS. 9/10 Ryuugan no Shizuku - Weakest song of the mini. Normal br00tal start with slower upbeat chorus also known as Toki no koe. That solo is amazing though. Overall not a song I will be listening to a lot, I've heard enough of this on VAMPIRE SAGA already. 6.5/10 Sansuishi - Didn't expect that much from this song judging from the previews, but the full version with all the Chinese effects is beautiful. I will be crossing the bridge near my university when it's still dark and the bridge is lit up with this song playing. Seriously the best ballad they've put out this year. 8.5/10 Overall: 8/10 Good mini from D that I will be listening a lot for the few coming weeks. I absolutely LOVE the Chinese effects and theme of this mini. What I did notice was that this was not the 7th Rose direction I was hoping them to take, but more like Genetic World, which I don't find a problem at all. Great job D, this is why I love you guys.

^Key said they are currently working on their new Korean album and that it would be released in 2012, so who knows...
  20. Wow, they've been on a hiatus for about two years and after half a year they go on hiatus again?! But this probably has something to do with Eros being the vocalist in Rame's new band
  21. sai

Great setlist! Looking forward to it

LOL Masa wtf xDDD Anyway, so far I had good experiences with Yesasia, yet they blocked my creditcard because the creditcard company gave us our money back for some difficult reason xD My friend ordered a VK cd for himself and for me there two weeks ago and it took less than a week to deliver WITH free shipping
