WOOOOOW WHAAAAT Couldn't see them last year because they visited during my high school graduation exams but if they're coming at a good time (no college exams) and near where I live I am so going! I've been waiting forever to see these guys live and I hope I now get my second chance to finally see them in person!

Personally I think this is merely something for Riku as a side-project, seeing as KISAKI re-started his KISAKI Project feat. Satsuki. I hope Lin won't disband, but we'll see when the announcement is made.
  3. Okay guys I know not everybody likes anime and these kind of jokes, but there's no need to go hating on it in this kind of form. I'll let it slide this time, but be warned that if it happens again I'll have to deal out a warning, especially to you Furik, please mind your language and respect the rules: rule number 2: don't be unnecessary rude. I know it's the Toasted Waffles subforum but even there the rule of not being unnecessary rude has to be respected.

Ewwwww no I hated this with a passion when it was released. I'm not giving my entire list but I will list the winner: MBLAQ - BLAQSTYLE album. Hands down the best K-POP album of the entire year.
  5. Ahhh yeah, thinking about it. I'd be okay if other people wrote music for Satsuki but at least he tries. HAHAHA classic! Personally I prefer not to know if my favourite artists do or do not write their own music. I agree with Masa on the point of not being able too, but I also think it would be a big letdown for me, seeing as every emotion that seems to be in the song was not produced by themselves.

DAFUQ They were also making it hard for people to order their stuff (lots of live-limited) after they left avex, but fan-club only? There's no way we'll be able to get our hands on this, only Japanese people may join that fan-club. Not that I love Ultimate Lover, but I'd love to hear that new song. I hope coolJAPANstore will sell it like they did with Torikagogoten and Huang Di, but I doubt it. Also Nyanto Ship D, I have a feeling this will be cheesy and include the members in animal costume.
  7. Weren't they also releasing a single? Thanks for the news though

  10. DAMNIT YOU BEAT ME TO IT. When I saw the topic title I was sure that this video would include the song My Jinglebells are gone and guess what, I'm right! @Aion Doe de Rinus? Overigens, hoe kun je zijn hitsingle, "Hee kastelein" nu vergeten? Die vrouw in het begin van de video als hij binnenkomt dansen kijkt echt zo van: wtf is dit? English: @Aion, Do the Rinus? By the way, how could you forget his top hit "He Kastelein" (Hey bartender)? The woman in the beginning of the clip has this great WTF look when he comes into the bar dancing. USK_W0JJ-MQ

At least it's better than what I had to watch, just a boat floating in the water.

I only know one song by Metallica but I really like it

So did I! This was the first 'heavier' Japanese band I got into.

Before I give my list I have to say that was I rather disappointed by my favourite artists this year. The list of my favourite acts released rather disappointing albums this year, while artists I never actually listened to or didn't like very much surprised me with amazing releases. There were a few exceptions, but I can honestly say that my favourites have let me down. With that said, here's my list (most likely in alphabetical order, I'm too lazy so I use iTunes). This is Japanese only, by the way. Alice Nine. - GEMINI Alice Nine. had me excited with the singles matching this album but disappointed me with this release in the beginning. I had no idea what they were doing or why they were doing this. it wasn't Alice Nine. at all, so in the beginning I was kind of indifferent about this release. After a couple of listens I realised how brilliant this was. Alice Nine. was thinking outside of the box, made a brilliant trilogy with a great ballad as a finisher and does things they've never done before. The first half isn't that impressive (old Alice Nine., which can be good, but isn't as good as it could be) but that second half was incredible. Compliments to Alice Nine. for this, you really pulled me into your fandom with this. D - VAMPIRE SAGA Even though no album probably will be able to beat 7th Rose, D bravely tries with their third major album and tries to adapt to a more harder metal-like style. They pull it off greatly and thus VAMPIRE SAGA is born. From the strong ballad that starts the album to the fun Silver Accorn Bullet that ends this album it's near perfection. The filler tracks in the middle are kind of forgettable and special emotions in these songs are kind of lacking, but once Der Konig der Dunkelheit starts playing all emotion of VAMPIRE SAGA is put into one song. I never doubted my favourite band to let me down, and they didn't, so here it is on my list. DuelJewel - Luminous DuelJewel releases a few good singles and then releases Luminous. This was everything I wanted from them. It's casual good DuelJewel stuff, from the harder tracks to the upbeat calming tracks and their fun tracks to jump too. They did everything I expected from them, so I do not have any complaints about this album. It's good as it is, even though there's hardly any experimentation, I love it. Here's the rest of the list, in order to avoid a tl;dr post: Kagrra, - hyakkikenran [WINNER OF 2011 megamasso - Loveless, more Loveless Kaya – Queen lynch. - I BELIEVE IN ME UVERworld – LIFE 6 SENSE MERRY - Beautiful Freaks ONE OK ROCK - 残響リファレンス(zankyou reference) shiki∞project - kureha
  16. ^ I would've done it if I were the band. Just for the lulz.
  17. Was this before or after Asagi was their vocalist? If it was beforehand I might probably know him, or was Asagi the last vocalist of Syndrome?
  18. Aw, after three singles and a mini I was secretly hoping for an album...but a single is ok as well, I guess

^Wow, that would be totally...douchebag like. Especially with the whole easy on downloading policy most European countries have, they could literally censor us away as well. But honestly, I'm not letting my ass get censored by Americans, I'm still an inhabitant of the Netherlands and as long as our government won't ban it wouldn't that be pretty illegal and stupid against Europe?
  20. sai

D's Asagi has quite a low voice, but tends to use higher notes more often, urgh I love this guy's voice <3
  21. sai

^In the Netherlands? Are you fucking kidding me? Censorship isn't allowed here, that would be going straight against the Constitution!
  22. sai

^ Damn right. I didn't feel like putting the whole title but it was a great mini. Typical D, but I loved it. Asagi would have your head for forgetting it xD

My absolute favourites for this year were: lynch. - I BELIEVE IN ME (album) lynch. makes their major debut with an album, which had me quite worried. All was unnecessary, because they put out the best album they ever made, even better than THE BURIED in my opinion. Definitely one of the best releases of this year. Kagrra, - 百鬼絢爛-通常盤 Kagrra, decided to disband, but they wouldn't just let it end without finishing their career decently. They made this album (which was rather short) that didn't disappoint in the least. Was it special or experimental? No. Was it great? Yes. This is Kagrra, doing what they're good at, and I love it. A - WHITE ALBUM So totally out of nowhere this indie band called A appears and puts out one great release after another. This is without a doubt their best release yet and a must-hear for every VK fan. Megamasso - Loveless, more Loveless So after about one or two singles Megamasso announces a second album within the time span of one year, so my hopes weren't that high, but damn did they put out a good one. This is amazing pop-rock, everything's done right, Ryohei's composing was great and that single track by Gou (Until) was phenomenal. Totally recommended. Alice Nine. - GEMINI They really outdid themselves this time, I tell you. Great album with the Gemini trilogy as absolute best. D - VAMPIRE SAGA Can't finish this list without throwing in my own musical favourites. D made VAMPIRE SAGA in a rush, yet managed to throw so much heavy yet decent stuff at you, with as a PV track and finisher Der Konig der Dunkelheit, without a doubt one of their best songs ever. Better than 7th Rose? No. Amazing? Yes.

XIII-2 will, but versus XIII is PS3 only and since it has the Kingdom Hearts battle system I need this game so badly
