Trust me, I usually hate being part of fandoms sometimes. I'm in a ton of fandoms that are considered toxic and I always hate being lumped into them. That said though, the fandoms I'm in are good when good and are REALLLY bad when bad. Shipping bandmates, calling people "fake fans", death threats and harassment of the band is what I'm tired of seeing. I have not seen this kind of stuff in the VK community yet, but I have heard some stories.
 
I have met some of the nicest people in these fandoms so just calling all of them lunatics is a bit of a stretch. So far, the community on here and in VK in general is one of the nicest, kind-hearted, and just all around full of awesome people!

I've considered leaving the VK fandom from time to time, but I've been talked out of it because it shouldn't be the loony fans who influence your tastes. Looking back, the people who talked me out were absolutely right. Idk, I guess it just doesn't sit right with me when people give up on something they love just because they don't like the other people who do. I'm not blaming them; I just wish it didn't happen. I've found this to be the case with Meji fans a lot, so I just thought like putting this.

Everyone seemed to hate most of the bands i like and started stanning them later

I'm not sure on people's opinions about KAMIJO's solo career, but I've heard a few people say they find him annoying as a person, whereas I like him/his solo career. I think his songs sound like boss fight music, which is A-Okay with me. I was actually gonna go see him in September last year, but I missed out cuz I fell out with the person I was gonna go with. I'm still fuming over that.

Almost everyone calls them the “Nickleback” of VK, which is the worst thing to compare them to. The people who hate them either think they ripped off Dir En Grey or think their music is cringe. What’s even better is that both Dir En Grey and The Gazette are both in my Top 5 for favourite VK and J Rock bands. 
 
The whole rip off thing pisses me off. They sound nothing alike 
 
Hell, Stacked Rubbish is one of my all time favourite J-Rock albums

He is doing this romance/vampire thing so much, and it's totally over the top..... it creeps me out sometimes.

Honestly, Rooftops is an amazing song. But again, I can never get into Lostprophets because of what Ian “Goes wild with your child” Watkins did. Then again, I like Phantamasigoria, even though their bassist is a complete shithead (Kisaki)

It's got that same kind of neoclassical power metal influence you'd expect from him. I think his solo music is generally a bit faster and grandiose than his other stuff (if that's even possible), but there are some exceptions like Trésor, for example.

Nu metal honestly really depends on the band. Dir En Grey did nu metal back then and it sounds awesome. One nu metal band I enjoy is Korn. I’m not the biggest fan, but they have some legit bops

1) Respectfully disagree. While Toxic is a good album, I personally would not rank it higher than let's say Dogma (Idk lol). Stacked Rubbish IMO is The Gazette's best album but I respect your opinion. Also, "The Nickleback of VK", really? 🙄

3) YES! ABSOLUTELY YES! I remember someone asked him on Instagram about what cigs he smoked and he replied "The ones that kill me" (Idk. I'm paraphrasing here lol) and he did a whole rant on Instagram about how KPOP is funded from a "fascist government" and a bunch of other BS. I legit rolled my eyes and was like "HoLy FuCk yOuR eDgY". While I do enjoy Madman's Esprit's music, I absolutely can't stand Kyuhoo's 14-year-old edgelord attitude.
 
4) Definitely! While Sugizo is an amazing guitarist, Iroran is an amazing one too. I often compare him to Pata from X Japan, who himself is underrated

Lol I always was like "Jesus some 14 year old atheist wrote these lyrics XD". Honestly, even for someone who listens to edgy music, I could feeeel the edge in Madman's Esprit songs. Like, Kyuhoo is edgier than an emo kids razor blades LOL

Yeah, the whole Kisaki thing is gross. Wasn’t there a controversy between a KPOP star of Big Bang (Forgot band name) recently?

Personally, having kids is the last thing I'd want. I would love to get married, but honestly, I'm extremely irresponsible and untrustworthy to have kids in the future. Don't mind being around them, but just having kids isn't on my list.

Hitomi has a solo project under the name Umiyuri, Vivi (other guitarist with blond hair) is now in DEZERT under the name Miyako, Ivy (bassist) is in a band called LACK-CO, Soan (drummer) has a solo project called Soan Project, Loki (singer of Sugar) is in a band called More and I don't think Shingo (Sugar's bassist) and Atsuto (Sugar's drummer) are doing anything, but I could be wrong on some of that. I think that's all right, though.

Just listened to the first song. That was awesome! I love the guitars and Hitomi's (had to look up his name) vocals! Going to listen to their albums now. Are any of them still active?
