Yeah, his song writing has never been brilliant, he needs to just stick with writing lyrics. lol

Did you order the standard edition? Or the "special" version which is about 29347690270.846534676 yen? As the standard version doesn't come out until the end of next month. I've got a pre-order for it on CDJapan and of course, wont expect it until after then.... lol.

Yep. Think it just says more about the mentality of those getting involved, nothing wrong with liking one band over the other but there's no point getting all wound up by the other band or their fans or whatever. What is that actually achieving? If it really gets to someone that much they just got to ignore said band/fans and stick with what they get enjoyment out of. Or just appreciate what you get from both bands because they're actually pretty different.... lol.

What's he got against a single dice? Seriously..... haha. Actually saw a really interesting thing a while ago that relates pretty well to this topic. I'm not sure I still have it, but a while ago I was looking through one of those Japanese vkei promo magazines and I think it was R shitei, who had a bit in there and the promo pic they were all standing there doing nazi salutes. Was like "wtf man?" I'm not offended by it, but am just like.... why? Out of ANY pose you could do.... lol. I remember posting it somewhere on a Japanese forum asking people what they thought of it and most Japanese were just like "they probably don't mean any offence by it and maybe weren't even aware of it's meaning and just thought it'd be a cool pose." really? ok.... lol. As I said, not offended, but not sure I really approve either.

I do like these guys, but after folklore am feeling like it's going to take a bit more from them to get me to buy anything else of theirs. Is more or less just more of the same every time now. I was excited when I heard "Psycho" (I think it was called) where they got a bit heavier and Saya started using growls and stuff, thought this was them becoming more dynamic, but everything since has been more of the same again. haha. Nevermind.

Pretty much what I was thinking. Their sound is as boring as their name. haha. Just bog-standard vkei that we've all heard a billion times over.... 🤮

The new look is pretty cool, dig it. But again will probably pass on all these singles like the 粉砕するぞ!and 俺を必要とする人はこの世の中に居ないよ singles that came out at the same time, where all the songs basically could have just been one full length. These songs could all just be one mini-album. I know there are reasons why they would take this approach instead but seriously that kind of thing is one of the things I really hate about the way Vkei bands market themselves. haha. So if they can convince me to spend money on these they'll have to pull off something really special to convince me. Look forward to seeing what they come up with nonetheless.

Not bad, but isn't the production a bit messed up? I know they're a new band but the songs so far really have that "demo" type production. Or maybe that was the intention just whilst they're getting attention and will up the overall sound once they've gained a bit more of a following.

This! I actually am really liking it musically so far, but those violins make it pretty difficult to listen to.... Proper annoying. haha.

Just PM'd you so we don't get too off topic here. 😛

I don't care really to be honest, haha. Just happy to help spread it to those who haven't got it. The whole live only thing is a bit of a rip off and there's only the most miniscule chances of people outside of Japan even being able to buy it at all (though if you can it's second hand for a ridiculous amount of money) so yeah, happy to send it to other people if they want it. + Other users here have uploaded plenty of other stuff for everyone to download which I've taken advantage of, so would be shit of me to not share anything if people want it and I can offer it. But yeah here is the link, only active for 7 days apparently so don't hang around too long. https://we.tl/t-5N1DJ70LBs

I did end up with a copy of the "kakko" live single. So if you haven't managed to find any of them then I'm happy to send you a download or whatever.

Started getting into FIXER just as they split up so will be interesting to see what these guys sound like.

Haha yep, "flat" is an understatement. It just sounds crap, like it was a nice idea they tried but the fact is, 90% aren't listening to their music with the set up they were going for so everyone is just like "wow, well this really sounds shit" haha. I was damn surprised when I first put the disc on, I thought my speakers had screwed up for a minute or something. haha. It's a shame about not putting out a full album, if Lime is the main song writer then I can kind of understand what he means, but the solution is just to take longer on your work and not just put out 3 tracks every few months. Obviously I know how the Japanese scene works and that they need to keep momentum going and whatever but it IS possible to write a quality full length over time. As the main song writer in my own band, our first release is a full length album (11 songs) which took about a year to compose and even though the label hasn't announced us and the album's not out yet we're working on an EP (5/6 tracks we're thinking) which I have been working on, on and off for another year or so.... The point I'm trying to get at here is that, I personally think if you spend longer to really refine your ideas and stuff, you flesh out the bad/boring/generic ideas and end up with one REALLY solid release where every single part is (hopefully) really cool. I do sometimes wonder how much better a lot of V kei bands would be if they took this approach, obviously I like a lot of V kei bands, so far from saying they're bad (though of course some are....haha) but just have to wonder if instead of pumping (maybe rushing??) out 3/4 songs every couple of months they spent longer to really work on a more lengthy release that was properly refined how it would sound. I mean with my bands stuff, we literally had completed songs that we made adjustments to the week before recording or even during the studio time. haha. Don't rush shit out, take your time and get it right as once that song is recorded there's no going back. Unless you want to keep re-recording it like some bands we know.... hah

I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking this, previous song was way better. I like this one too, but it's nowhere close to the level of 拷訊惨獄 in my opinion, that song was crazy as. haha.
-
I do kind of like how they stuck to their usual style but just doesn't really sound like JILUKA to me (as obviously it's not songs they've written) so not really interested in this, definitely wont be buying it. Which is a shame as it'll be the first release of theirs i'll have missed.

Does that mean both versions are actually sung in Swedish and English respectively? Or just the titles/lyrics (on the artwork/booklet) are in Swedish or English depending on the version? If they recorded vocals in both languages for two separate versions that's pretty dedicated stuff! I've not really followed them since after Damnation, all seemed downhill from there, can't stand their prog stuff, literally when a mate first showed me Heritage I thought they were just showing me some crappy band as a joke saying it was Opeths new style. + Saw the Batushka post, much preferring that version of Batushka's new song than the Faketushka one (which for the record doesn't really sound like what they're known for on the first album at all anyway...) just will be glad when this ridiculous drama is over. The drummer of my band actually done a session job for a band supporting Batushka on a European/UK tour and said Bart was a bit of a twat then, so not really surprised to see how he's carrying on regarding the whole situation... Ya know, releasing albums and playing shows under a name which is in dispute and isn't legally yours (yet at least). I really hope Bart doesn't get his way, but on legal grounds it looks as though it could go either way at the moment, which is why it's so dumb Bart is still pushing activity under that name.

With you 100%. + Corey, Sid and the new guys masks are all pretty crappy. I guess it's early days and the new guy is focusing on his peformance over anything else but his stage presence is pretty minimal from those clips.

Not got a problem with K Pop but don't really listen to it. Much prefer J Pop (especially old J Pop from the 70s/80s) but do like Psy just because he's funny over anything else, has a couple of catchy tunes.

Haha with a name like that I'd have expected it to be some low budget, silly, B-movie type film. Sounds interesting though! As for me, the Tekken anime movie, or Kung Fury, if that counts as a movie? Considering it's only half an hour or so long.... lol.

Am I missing something??? Kind of hard to pick favourites as a lot of the songs are so varied, and I like a lot of the songs as "favourites" for different reasons, but maybe this is it for me.... Also just noticed most of the songs I've chosen are all the slower ones.... haha. MISSA - 霧と繭 GAUZE - ゆらめき MACABRE - ザクロ 鬼葬 - Embryo six Ugly - Umbrella VULGAR - Increase Blue Withering to death. - 朔-Saku- THE MARROW OF A BONE - 艶かしき安息、躊躇いに微笑み UROBOROS - 蜷局 DUM SPIRO SPERO - The Blossoming Beelzebub THE UNRAVELING - 罪と規制 ARCHE - 濤声 The Insulated World - 赫

Well right now I'm listening to 1349 (black metal band) and earlier listened to Tempa T (Grime rapper) so probably that kind of thing. haha. I still listen to a lot of non-Japanese music so ya know, would just listen to that minus the Japanese stuff that gets thrown into the mix. + I would probably have much more money if I never got into Japanese music too..... haha.
-
Haha so I see. 😛 But what's worse? The samples we've heard that are taken from a new album coming out soon? Or no new album/news from the band at all? Tbh I'm always under the impression with music sometimes an album takes a few listens before you can get fully into it. So even if things sound weird now once you have the album and have listened it through 2/3 times your opinion could completely change? Some albums that are now in my "top albums" I didn't think a lot of on first listen, only through repeat listens started to appreciate how much is going on, what's being played and started getting much more enjoyment from it. Maybe that's just me though. We're all different I suppose.

Is already up for pre-order so dunno why people are complaining about the price of the limited edition version. It is ridiculously expensive but when you can already pre-order the regular version I don't see what the issue is....
-
Neither of these are "super rare" just dumb expensive. But would love the Sukekiyo - MUTANS release and the DIMLIM original pressing of VARIOUS (the one with the black cover) but both are just so silly expensive whenever I've managed to find them up for sale anywhere.... Mehhhh.
