I see people posting their skincare routine, and I guess I'll chime in too😁 I use mostly European brands, lately it's been a lot of Yves Rocher, their formulations are pretty natural and I find their products to work really well. My morning routine consists of cleanser, toner, eye gel cream and moisturizer, pretty simple but efficient. Nighttime it's pretty much the same with a few more steps. First off, I of course take off my makeup and this is my holy grail. It removes everything and it's so satisfying to see your makeup literally melt on your face. I then proceed with a cleansing milk on my face and a regular makeup remover on my eyes. Then it's cleanser, toner, serum, night cream and a heavier eye cream than the one I use in the morning. Once I week I exfoliate and put on a face mask. I usually rotate between clay mask and black peel-off mask, both pretty efficient for blackheads. I also try to exfoliate my lips pretty often casuse no matter what I do, whether I drink lots of water and apply lipbalm constantly, they're constantly chapped. As for everyday makeup, I use foundation, concealear, powder, winged liquid eyeliner, mascara, a touch of cream blush and colored lipbalm. I love makeup and experiment with eyeshadows, contouring and bold lipcolors, but it's definitely not an everyday occurence. I'm pretty pleased with my face routine, on the other hand, I feel like I gotta improve my bodycare. For some reason I get lazy when it comes to moisturize my body everyday, exfoliate it etc. If I could transfer my skincare routine onto my body as well I'd be good. As for haircare goes, because my hair has kind of a wavy, relaxed curl texture that can get pretty frizzy, I've been trying to use the Curly Girl method for more defined curls, and I'd say it's working quite well. I used to use henna on my hair a long time ago with fantastic results, but it's such a hassle to deal with, especially the dying kind. @nomemorial@plastic_rainbow I've been wanting to try The Ordinary products, but I've checked their formulas and surprisingly enough they're full of silicones, not natural at all. That was kind of disappointing since they seem to shill themselves as a "natural" brand. That's probably the reason why they're so cheap since well, silicones are pretty cheap compared to more natural alternatives. So idk.

I was hoping it was gonna be one of those "Shantay you both stay" situations, not a huge fan of Ra'jah, but they both did a great lipsynch. Super sad to see Scarlet go, she was one of my faves. I don't even know who to cheer for now tbh, Plastique and Evie maybe, but eh. Don't have a definite favorite this season.

I looooved Karekano anime! But yeah, apparently there has been some issues with the original team, I remember hearing most left at some point and therefore the anime taking a... strange route. Still a great anime that I remember fondly. I've been meaning to read the manga as well.

Oh yeah totally! I think it's like, a humorous nod to the 90's vk bands that they clearly take inspiration from, but they're not a joke band at all.

Whoa. This sounds... wild. Truly wonder what could've happen... If that band wants him to come back, could it be that Riyu had an issue with the label? The situation just seems weird though, like something doesn't adds up...

Personally I don't mind the "sparkly pop bs" because Royz is good at it. Having said that, I wasn't really feeling the latest releases, this one is definitely the best song they put out lately. Royz has had some heavier tracks in the past and this isn't the first time Subaru has used growl vocals, I think he's pretty decent at it. Chorus is definitely 100% Royz style, super catchy and melodic, and still works well with the more brutal parts. I dig it a lot.

I thought I keep it here since they haven't announced a new single yet but they're still promoting their latest release. But basically, they came out with a new look/concept and announced a new bass player. Hakuya (ex. Malice Invitation, gore) has departed at the end of the month in order to focus solely on his project Ogyaa. New bassist goes by the name of Yuu (+悠) and was actually the vocalist for Affective Synergy and has a solo project called Ultimate Sonic (in which he plays guitar and vocals). I'm not exactly a fan of Tensai.'s music (actually not at all), but hearing that they're going to disband really surprised me. I guess that either they've decided to go the "serious" route and rebrand (their latest single seemed a bit less shit-kei than usual after all), or they were the kind of indies that thought they could live by their music alone in this day and age🤷‍♀️

Excuse me but wtf? From what I could gather Warumono's bassist decided to quit the band and lawyers are involved? How come Kerberos' bands have so much drama surrounding them lately🤔

Personally, I see a bit of parodic intent, but I may be wrong. As for the "no overseas shipping", that's really not surprising, most of the indies I follow really don't? That's what proxies are for. Bangyas being like "no gaijin" is kind of disgusting, but also not terribly surpising.

If they state they're okay with receiving DMs in general (and often they do), I do it all as well. God bless the indies.

A friend linked me their MV with no context and at first I was so confused, because I thought "wait... how come an obscure 90's band has such a high quality MV?", and then I saw release date😆 I'm not sure if they're doing it ironically or not, either way, I like them a lot already. I dig bands that don't take themselves too seriously and the song is genuinly good imo. They seem like a breath of fresh air in the scene, which is definitely needed.

I don't think I've seen a thread like this yet. Basically, every kind of speculation regarding disbandments, members leaving/being fired/disappearing/dying, possible drama among bandomen, old/minor tea etc. should go here. I'm going to start off with something that I've definitely researched upon quite a bit. EVE's disbandment.

I'll be honest, I'm the kind of person that also dislikes bands sometimes based on gut feeling. If I sense an asshole-ish aura about them, I won't get into them most likely, so I understand your feelings towards Mejibray completely. If I wanna "stan" I have to at least like the image a band portrays. They may act completely differently in their everyday life maybe, but as long as their band personas don't come out as raging douches then I'm good. (ofc I check tanuki and places alike to keep up if I'm interested in them, but you know.) Vk isn't exactly a wholesome scene, I don't expect everyone to be squeaky clean, but yeah, I tend to favor chill people that don't act like try-hards (if I dig their music that is) (I wonder which certain band may agree with your view on Mejibray 👀)

I'm glad I'm not the only one that has found it particulatly underwhelming. Perhaps it's because I'm a huge fan of Dragula, but I was expecting so much more! I get it that not every queen is a "spooky" queen, but it was such an exciting chance to think outside the box and do something creative and it just... fell flat. For pretty much everyone. Really a boring runaway challenge overall. Basically, same thing here, just following out of habit, but even then I often find myself forgetting about it even.

How does the board feel about the new season so far? For some reason, I'm having a harder time getting into it. Perhaps it's because of the overexposure (aka one season after the other, no time for a breather), but I find myself having a hard time sitting through a whole episode + Untucked. The queens are great so I definitely dont wanna fault them for it, just... I don't know, I feel like something is amiss. (for context, I've been following Rpdr regularly since season 6)

I've never cared for Mejibray and a huge chunk of the "big" bands within the scene, with a few exceptions of course. I'm not trying to be hipsterish at all costs, it's just that I have a hard time getting into anything that I find overexposed. If I like something, I'll like it regardless of the popularity (or lack of thereof) of the band, it's just that it happens rarely with well-known bands. (basically, I enjoy screaming in the void about bands no1curr about)

I find Yasu's voice to be one of the best in the scene, and this performance is pretty much flawless. Nailing those high notes in that register with no strain whatsoever is no joke for a man. Also, I love the melismas and the tone of his voice throughout the song.

So. Recently I've had a dream about Sakurai from BUCK-TICK. We were talking over the phone because he was looking for a nanny for his cats. (😹) He basically interviewed me over the phone and hired me. But when I come to his house, he's not there. His son is there instead. Yes, his secret son (it wasn't the guy from Vaniru nor any other rumored option, just... a dude. That looked a lot like him in his younger days. Possibly with a bit more of a baby face). Unfortunately I woke up shortly afterwards, I barely got to see the cats. At the end I didn't even manage to see Sakurai in the flesh, but his voice alone was.... something, and the dream still made me wake up sort of hot and bothered. 🤷‍♀️
