finished stephen king's doctor sleep. i wasn't sure what to expect, i had pretty high expectations given the shining but it was actually pretty enjoyable. i liked it a lot, apart from the numerous and seemingly forced nods to current pop culture. now i'm excited to see the film next year. about to start normal by warren ellis.

i couldn't find this topic. if it exists feel free to close as necessary. i know there's a "worst jrock cd cover" thread, but how about ✨best? ✨ spreading those positive vibes. one of my favourites has always been protoplasm by rentrer en soi. i've always dug the photo, and ryo's heels tbh. also i think this is when they first stylized their logo differently, and i stan (stun?) another gem is 4u -mary gold- by d'air. it's pretty simplistic but i've always found it endearing. their covers kind of went downhill from here tbqh but the bops forever remain. for something more current, i'm really digging the inferiority complex and narcissism cover by rands. i think the overall design is pretty gorgeous. kinda wishing they had done it in a digipak format, though.

aesthetic violence by versailles. while a cool title, the product description on cdjapan was not the tea for its day. also crystal letos by lareine was a major let-down because i probably didn't read the item description at the time and just thought it contained a hell of a lot of songs. i sold it on ebay back then, but recently repurchased it because i'm a masochist. actually i've grown to love it in my old age. 😪...plus the cover is bomb.com

i tend to wear all black everything, so i guess i could be seen as more goth than vk... i mix a lot of different brands though. i can't afford to wear all designer pieces but i like to mix some alexander wang, alice auaa and vivienne westwood accessories with some cheaper brands like h&m, oak+fort, zara and uniqlo. i'm also obsessed with thrifting and vintage shopping for the thrill of the hunt, the recycling factor, and being able to find affordable unique pieces. i also really love rick owens and yohji yamamoto but those prices are cray my all time favourite brands/designers are: alice auaa h.naoto sid neigum nuit atelier vivienne westwood call and response sisters of the black moon dr. martens
