I really like La'Veil Mizeria because of that whole "revival" look. I think the track 「泡沫」 on their 「寂滅饗筵」mini-album definitely reflects the sound that was popular in the 90s and early 2000s for VK also.

Most things by THE SKULL FUCK REVOLVERS are lost. PRINCE ALBERT, WELCOME TO THE SUICIDE, 13-THIRTEEN-, WELCOME TO THE GENOCIDE, THE END OF THE WORLD, CACHALOT, HELL'S ISLAND ICE TEA, I AM WORLD'S END GANG STAR, GOURMET, JOLLY ROGER, FLYING BITCHMAN are pretty much nonexistent now. Only BOUQUET and LEONID are easily accessible via Youtube.

I completely agree with this. I thought I was the only one who thought it tbh. On the topic of MALICE MIZER, I think I'll say my unpopular opinion about them: GACKT was the weakest vocalist for MALICE MIZER and pales in comparison to Tetsu and Klaha. In addition, I feel that the only reason why GACKT-era was the most popular was because of the catchy/poppy songs and also the fact that the most songs were released in that era (in comparison to Tetsu and/or Klaha era, both strong vocalists). Since I'm talking about GACKT, his best album was definitely Mars. While Crescent and Rebirth had good tracks I wouldn't compliment them as entire albums, although they're certainly more pleasant than ..... some of the other things he's released or has participated in*cough*yellow fried chickenz*cough* I think GACKT's career is near-dead now and if it's not [his career] should die out.

This. The vocals sound really polished. Too polished imo. It was awkward to hear at first, just because I wasn't used to it. That doesn't mean it's bad though. Like I said, I'm really quite fond of it. KERBEROS grew on me after the second listen. The vocals are definitely an improvement, though! Before he couldn't even hit the notes in BELIAL live without struggling, so hearing him hit nearly all of the notes live for KERBEROS is pretty impressive lol.

I think so as well. I'm always reminded of how good Atsuki is at drumming when watching them live. I think the rest of the members have a lot of potential too. Their capabilities are most displayed in 真昼間は別の顔, グッド・バイ, and ドラマ in my opinion! I think Minpha's bass really shines in all of the named tracks and we get to hear more of Taku and Yutori's guitar playing in ドラマ!

I'm always trying to find new music to listen to and expanding my taste in music. I enjoy when artists have a sort of acquired taste and challenge my music preference. A good example of this is BUCK-TICK's music. They have a very unique and interesting sound that took me a while to get into, but now I consider myself a fan and enjoy most of their music. I typically listen to a new song that I'm iffy on multiple times unless it's dreadful enough (imo) that I just cannot get used to it.

All of the songs in GALLO's "Dainippon Kokkei Shugisha Renmei Koushinkyoku" aka the "-Tanchou" series (and the rest of GALLO's discography tbh). "Hope." by hakubishin "Dakara kirainanda, ame nante." by GreeΣ "Dame ningen", "Makka na uso", and "STELLA" by Arelquin "Good bye" by pentagon "MESSIAH", "Genzai no ringo", "Gesshoku", "DIVERGENCE", "RAVEN", and "Kase to chinou -sore tte totemo ningen rashii tte kamisama wa waratteru no-" by MEJIBRAY Admittedly, most of the MEJIBRAY songs are really bad but they always get stuck in my head somehow and so I wind up listening to them lol.

- While their songs don't contain the best compositions nor vocals, MEJIBRAY is fun to just casually listen to. - The tone of Aki's (アルルカン/Arlequin's vocalist) voice is pleasant to listen to despite him lacking the singing technique most VK vocalists use. - While not fans of them at all, I don't mind the gaijins attempting to make themselves and their careers geared towards VK. Ignoring the fact gaijins are... well, white and not Japanese, their voices typically have the same quality (ex: YOHIO). - DADAROMA is an absolute joke and THIS IS "LIVE" confirmed that further with the obnoxious tracks both the A and B side consist of. - I enjoy ペンタゴン/pentagon's music despite the bandmen not being visually appealing in the slightest.

A band that's definitely guilty of this is ギャロ/THE GALLO (I mean, the entire LUCIFERO album was a bunch of remakes of songs from their self-titled GALLO album). In their case it was apparently because he couldn't bear some of the old lyrics/dissatisfaction with the way they had been written, composed and performed prior. At least, that's according to Jojo. I personally think the songs on the LUCIFERO album could be classified as different songs—albeit, with the same titles—for the most part, but they're still remakes nonetheless. In other cases, I think it could definitely be a result of attempting to grab just a bit more cash like others have already said. I think the most prominent example of this is アルルカン/Arlequin's maxi single 価値観の違いは唯一の救いだった (Kachikan no Chigai wa Yuiitsu no Sukuidatta) which also had a cluster of re-recordings on it. It could just be me, but I definitely didn't see a reason for the re-recordings since most of the songs sound really damn similar if not almost exactly the same. Aki's vocals didn't develop more over time and sound almost exactly as they had and I think the same for the instrumentals. Unless there was a different reason behind it was explained which I haven't seen (which is surely possible!), I think it was just them trying to get extra money off of mediocre content. The whole "remake trend" makes me cock and shake my head with both confusion and mild disbelief (for lack of a better word), but still doesn't exactly bother me. You gotta do what you gotta do ig.

I use a pair of PHIATON MS-530 headphones and have been since 2015 and they work so well. They have a noise-cancelling feature on the left side that glows green when the NC is on. They're wireless but do come with a wire also. The microphone works well too in my experience. Depending on your budget, they could be considered a bit pricey, but I think it's definitely worth it! I can take some pictures if requested to do so. Before that, I used to use a pair of Beats headphones from around 2013 (cost around 300 USD at the time I purchased), but they broke when I dropped them. They still work, but they just don't look good at all LOL

Jojo's voice definitely had a different sound in "KERBEROS". The change of sound in his voice turned me off from it at first, but it definitely grew on me as I kept listening. However, it seems like he can sing it decently live. I'm actually surprised considering Jojo's wonky vocals live lol. On the other two tracks, his voice sounds as it typically does imo. I'm very fond of all of the songs on "KERBEROS", but I think my favorite track on the single would have to be 神鯨型潜水艦・黒鯨 (Kami Kujira Gatasensuikan Kokugei). Tbh, I can only hope these were experimental songs rather than a style they'll keep. Regardless, I look forward to see what else they have in store for us.

I've been lurking the forums for probably a year (give-or-take a couple of months) and decided to make an account once I felt that I understood better how the community functions and behaves. Some of the bands I like (in no specific order) are ギャロ (THE GALLO), GreeΣ, ザアザア (xaa-xaa), 真天地開闢集団-ジグザグ (ZigZag), Develop One's Faculties, アルルカン (Arlequin), MALICE MIZER, and Plastic Tree.
