Seems like this topic needs my take too: It was fun to listen throughout at the first time, but days passed by and dear god how much BOREDOM this induces... Out of all the songs - only these had decent performances/ interesting moments: Depth - Just an intro but hey, best SE they've done ever since Stacked Rubbish-era. Also: digging the ambience! Ibitsu - I dig those occasional "whammy rape" riffs which remind me of something LS could have done back in '95-'96 (a la "Desire") Yoin - Almost like "Chizuru" but now with DIM-ish charm Derangement - Despite lacking the "signature riff" but having "signature bleeps", I adore the massive amounts of pop in this piece. Gabriel on the Gallows - ...now add some ultra-sweet, catchy choruses from GAMA and blend them with DERANGEMENT, voila! Melt - Best outro they've done ever since...Disorder? More of this please, Uruha. and as the band itself said - most of this material was based on Toxic leftovers, wow. Would've been a good EP, but two EPs with bland structure? No 6/10 (just 'cause of songs above)

My short take on one of the most anticipated vk/J-music-related releases off this year, DEG's "Rinkaku": 1) Rinkaku Quite nice half-ballad, quite distracted a bit with djenty (some might say "sludgy", but eh) parts but a solid number was guaranteed - thanks to memorable chorus and solo which just whacks you back to Gauze/Macabre-era with nostalgia overdose. On the con side, verse parts would've been done in more interesting, new-ish formula; and ending acted as sort of failed fanservice to me with lyrical reference to [KR]Cube (the first verse). Either way, I'd call it "Lotus 2.0", which goes quite far away from being "bad" - 8,5/10 2) Kiri to Mayu Take 2% of the original song (some parts of solo, and the main riff), add a bit of Carcass and Chelsea Grin, shake it up with constant breakdowns and voila - you have a remake of Missa's starter! Old fans might surely cringe upon the view/hearing they will get, and so did I during the first listen. It ~might~ grow on me, thanks to its second, "Dir en grey-ish" solo and clean vocal break, highly reminiscent to their eerie Uroboros songs (think of "Toguro" but with maximum Ooooh-ing ). Almost decent grower, to put it bluntly - 7/10 3) Rinkaku Eternal Slumber Mix (Remixed by Akira Yamaoka) Interesting remix, but nothing else to say, nor to review - more of DSS remix quality than Kai/Kisou remix quality which actually blew me away - mercy points for OOOOOHs and chorus (once again) though - 7,5/10 All in all, 8/10 - solid single, with a few tiring cons.
  4. The title makes it sound like a generic deathcore record (pointing out their current style btw, see Ktm -2012 ver.- for more)

    Rincock is quite satisfying

Not sure what to think about the new sample...especially the way chorus goes But ew if pv's going to achieve same level of ridiculousness as ASOM pv, lol (YEAH MAGGOTS GONNA RAPE YOU-type of humor)

Since I was so stoked about Kiyoharu's new CD due to its surprising collabs (Miyavi, Toe etc. etc.), I sacrificed a large part of my pastime to dig this out of the interwebs - out of MH, to be exact. Now, I am going to give a shot to limited edition, which excludes "sari" for one reason or another. Let's go track by track: 1) WALK ON THE MOON Something you might expect him to do during his "Madrigal of Decadence" - era. Quite okay for being an intro but no mindblowing action here to be expected. 7/10 2) JUDIE Miyavi x Kiyoharu collab in which most people were interested - I am being reminded of some songs from "Poetry", which deserves a big plus (see, my favorite album!). Definitely some jamworthy stuff for those who don't mind Miyavi's recent electro-acoustic trickery...except if Kiyoharu's omnipresent moans won't haunt/disturb/annoy the hell out of you 8/10 3) LAW'S -New Take- Woah, a leftover song of "Madrigal"! A lack of big changes is such a big letdown to me, and probably to other Kiyoharu listeners, but hey - I'd rather take small changes than butchering *COUGH*Darlene's album version*COUGH* 7/10 4) YESTERDAY Basically Kiyoharu's take on alt/indie-dabble with his trademark, lamenting vocals. Guitarwork here is truly inspiring, wonder if Toe's/Downy's guys had any part on this? Either way, this is something I always expect from Kiyoharu - a performance full of lament and emotions, with considered use of OOOOOOOOOOHing he's noted for. Definitely attention-worthy effort 9/10 5) The sun -album version- More like a remix a la in vein of "Madrigal" - most parts of single ver. were either put out or drowned under big amount of synth...I mean the hell, why the heck would you mute the first solo? Kiyoharu's vox just won't go along the other instruments but instead, float over them. Kiyoharu, I expected you NOT to go back to weird "album ver." remixes, ew. 5/10 6) Ryuusei Best UTS single to me, and prolly the best pop song he has produced ever since...say, MELLOW? Has a nice tinge of old brit rock influence(think of '98 Placebo without excessive Sonic Youth-ish riffage) in it...a nice combo of western nostalgia and Kiyoharu's trademark formula 9/10 7) Veronica Imagine if Kuroyume's "Alone" and Kiyoharu's "Emily" had a baby - I kid, I kid. This is quite okay song, with familiar Kiyoharu elements in it (like the way the chorus goes, aka "flamenco-ish guitar vs. Kiyoharu battle" + a touch of glam rock in solo). Not else to say about it 7/10 Namida ga Afureru Kiyoharu ballad at its most known form - softly sung notes of Kiyoharu, along with piano+elec./ac. guitar+orchestra-ish BG, work together greatly in bringing a rainy day-like atmosphere - but chorus is something that blows my mind- I bet I never heard same from him for a long, long time. You might take this as a piece of familiar "vk orchestra ballad"-fad, but such greatly flowing performance makes up for every cliche you would find. Big favorite of mine. 10/10 9) ALICE Another piano/orchestra synth-based ballad but with a lot more eerieness - let's assume that this is "nocturnal ballad " of his. It's so cold-toned that you can even feel the breeze (I kid again, it's just the weather ). Truly atmosphere-inducing song. Oh, and Kiyo's hooked on female names again, how familiar from him! 9/10 10) MESSIAH Straightforward slow rock song, probably with more input on lyrical impression. Digging the classic rock-ish guitarwork and synth - not else to say about this song though 7/10 11) UNDER THE SUN Finally, the title song. Most folks seemed to like it alot but this feels more like a over-dragging version of "Ryuusei" to me. Not sure how lyrical impression or further concentration would help me on liking this song, but I gave it a shot once; not sure if I'd give another next time - 5/10 So, did this surpass my expectations? Nah, not really. As people said, it's more of a reminder of his early albums, a la "MELLOW" or "Poetry" - with goddamn annoying cons from his previous "Madrigal"-album. Will I give it another spin? If I only had enough interest these days in retrying albums I didn't like in the past...so yeah, "Ryuusei", "YESTERDAY" "Namida ga Afureru" and "ALICE" deserve much better companions than say, album ver...REMIX of "the sun", ERGH. 7/10 in overall, no math needed.

Deathgaze is more of a Slipknot cover band with steroids put all over on constant triggerfests...which sound THE SAME. Of course I will go with Lynch. Their songs have some difference in between unlike those by ghosts of Hazuki's past...

Didn't Miya say once that they got rid of depressive theme a long time ago? I mean, they haven't been fussing with it ever since Kyuutai
  13. Pretsy

This would be prolly even poppier than Karma but with more guitarwork...well this is what I could say by listening to singles + that G.G. preview Oh, did I say that I actually dig those single songs (even MOTHER)? A bit better than Karma singles at least (nothing out of their post-Kyuutai repertoire tops over Freesia, that song's epic)

  15. Longest relationship: 1 year and half ~ 2 (somewhere in between) Shortest: 3 days (happened during my service - consider this to be "the accident between reversed one night-standish moments...) I am now more of a passive guy relationship-wise so don't consider me to carry on with "real, long" relationships

Don't forget that all this "kawaii desu obese lolita"-fandom factor applies to EVERY vk fandom and you're part of the fad as well, so get off your high horse
  17. Even if Relentless' statement is true or not, we can TOTALLY expect it to be a drone-fest a la Tsumi to Kisei/Tsumi to Batsu Just saying it

Hi folks, Long time no MH, and guess what - I am in the army now...or boot camp, you would say (both civil and armed service are obligatory here in Finland), and due to earlier mentioned situation, I can't hang around with net folks and alike for a certain period (POSSIBLY for a year, if my superiors take a liking to me me...) So yeah...enjoy your time, try not to miss me - I don't think I will return back to MH (due to a huge loss of precious working and studying time) Consider this to be my farewell...well not everyone should, really. You can keep in touch with me thru last.fm or FB BB! I had some great moments with ya folks!

    You, here? I...can't Kurwa.
  21. Pretsy

Thanks! Digging it. (also, I am the one who prefers their rockier and poppier songs like Kagerou to unnecessary hurrdurrcore-stuff like Rosario)

I am sort of worried too but this is not the first time Bansaku disappeared though He went missing once in Brq's early major/indie days and his mom even asked folks on band's official bbs about his whereabouts...no clues about how he got found though Hope he will show up...
