I strongly recommend NOT doing this at smaller lives. Maybe it's okay at larger shows or certain smaller/medium-sized bands oneman shows, but that is called 割り込み (warikomi) and it's against vk live etiquette. You WILL get shat on for doing that. At indie vk lives, where you choose to stand is your spot and you shouldn't try to take someone else's spot when they got there before you. If you go up for gyakudai return to your spot after it's finished.

Have a bad ticket but want to get closer?

    - If you're going to a multi-band event and only want to watch a band or two up front, talk to the people in the second, third and fourth rows. They might not want to see the same band/s as you and will happy let you switch with them. Be polite and be sure to thank them when they come back to take their spots.

    - See a spot towards the front that looks empty? Sometimes it isn't (maybe they went to the bathroom and someone is watching their spot for them) but sometimes it really is unoccupied. Ask the people near the spot if it's open before taking it.

True story ! I know someone who does that all the damn time. At first, my innocent ass thought she goes out of her way to trade tickets to get in the front, but one day, we entered the venue around the same time and when the concert started she literally pushed her way to the front.

At first I thought owell, people are like that, no big deal. But they remember your face after you do that, especially if you're a regular. She's an old lady who likes to low-key stalk them and buy them expensive presents.

I'm not the type to be bothered by things like that, I would still talk with her.

But one time, while I was queuing with another group of friends, the topic of rude fans came in our conversation. And I remember them whispering to me how much they despise this lady for being so rude XD.

On a side note, one time I was pulled by a friend to go with her a little bit in the front (basically a little bit past the middle of the venue where I was sitting), and the venue had those bars that would divide the crowd. Nobody was too eager to go too much in the front, but I did feel a little exposed at that time XD (me being this tall blonde European with Japanese friends around XD).

I don't recommend being so adventurous because people in general can be mean, regardless of where you are :). But if you have luck and nobody sees you, we ain't gonna snitch on you ;).

Also i want to point out the etiquette/culture of vk lives, i always do weird fucking stuff and imitate the vocalist when listening to songs when i'm alone or with friends, but at japanese lives you're supposed to be quiet, respectful, just listen, don't you dare make a scene out of yourself :D I really do understand that, and i'd rather concentrate on the band than some lunatic raving his own stuff like in the western concerts, lol. It works wonderfully like that and the contrast between japanese and western gigs is very big.

And how every song has a distinctive dance or hand gesture or "fanchant" that fans do all in almost perfect sync.

I kinda love that organized fangirling but at the same time my western soul would love to sing along and do my own stuff 😂. It's a fun thing to do nevertheless

Probably the most thing I love about vkei is the MC part 😂 I've never been to a lot of vkei lives but I gotta say their MCs are just special. You have someone come in with a giant fan and start spanking another bandman and do other weird stuff and seconds later the vocalist starts a sappy and emotional speech that makes you cry.

I'm a kpop fan and they have fun MCs too and I was familiar with this style. But dude vkei's MCs are like a circus meets stand up meets fanservice. Or at least that's what I thought of XD.

Also drama yes! 😂😂 It's like watching the goth version of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, sometimes it just melts your brain, I love it😂

  3. I wasn't ready for this, I feel attacked!!

Bless these precious yankees for their soft souls that make such nice tunes.

Heard that Satochi's song sounds the saddest of all and it ends in "I'm sorry" 😭 I have a weak spot for this bundle of joy and I don't understand what happened here.

But I'm so ready for more Yukke thighs.

Because they're evil and like to hurt people. lol. deep down in our souls.

I'm beyond saving. Too much sin here~~~.

I was weak and just bough t he 4 pack.  :hum: I didn't see the differences until they did the vlive. I just new from the twitter they'd all have different photobooks and photocards, and the preorder had more photocards and posters and I just wanted everything because I have no self control. XD

The way Wonho looked at Kihyun through that entire part like HE KNOWS WHAT HE DOES TO US WHEN HE DOES THAT. lol. And that leather jacket mmmmMMmmmmMMMM. The painting was super cute. It suits Minhyuk too since he actually likes to paint.

Ugh it's even worse when favs overlap each other (which reminds me EXO is supposedly having a comeback soon too) and your heart can't divide itself already ;A;.

I don't know. I might end up buying that one too but, I might just do a thorough elimination process even if I end up in tears XD. I don't wanna do like I did with Ko Ko Bop and bought almost all the versions ;A;, but I might end up dammit ;A;.

Minhyuk can paint me like one of his French girls then

WE SURE ARE! :tw_bawling: no one should have to suffer like this alone!

I thought we would pick up from the end of Connect : D too! Their last trilogy was all connected. But I suppose they can still do something like that with the next comeback for the end of the trilogy if they wanted to since Jealousy is kind of stand-alone.

These costumes and these body chains. So thicc. SO RUDE.

Do you know which version you want? All the photobooks look like they're gonna be great. I really couldn't choose.

Destroyer is such a good song. They weren't lying when they said it's 7 title tracks!

;A; I sure hope they do because I need to know how the story goes on. I don't know why kpop loves to keep me hanging XD.

UGH BODY CHAINS My eyes are burning and I should start going to church again XD.

I don't know which version I'd like to be honest. I avoided looking through them on purpose but now I really don't know. Which one did you buy?

Ugh Destroyer is just there to bring up to emo inside me XD. But I'm all about that MV, especially the parts with Wonho and Kihyun and then our bois together painting <3.

I'm so glad you came to this forum. :tw_bawling: I'm so not used to them just having a general performance based video but I think it's good they decided to mix things up.  And there are so many things in this video that calls back to their old songs/videos I'm dying. YES MINHYUK!! Whenever he takes the center I feel so attacked like BOI. I can't wait until my album arrives in the mail. I need this in the highest quality possible.

We're in this together here  :tw_bawling:  !  RIGHTTTT??? I thought there will be an extended story to The Connect (another gemstone of a song <3) but NOOO there's thicc bois there dancing their soul away and looking rudely at the camera ughhh I was born to see this.

Ahh! I might actually get the album too once I get paid XD.

Leaving the MV here if anyone wants to be blessed <3

Excuse me but do you have a moment to discuss our lords and saviors MONSTA X? They just came back with a bop and looking like a full buffet.

Gurl I have years to spend talking about Monsta X !

That thumbnail, that song, that Minhyuk, that "ye ye yeah yeah yeah" and  then "JEALOUSYYYY" gurl I am in tears and am currently downloading the album on my phone <3

  10. From what I've seen in Japan at fans or from random adds it's probably Dir en Grey > the GazettE and then MUCC. I saw a lot of Dir en Grey merch on people on the streets too XD. And literally everyone outside of the v-kei world I'd talk to about v-kei didn't know who MUCC were (funniest encounter was when a girl in my uni asked me who L'Arc en Ciel was and me and my Japanese teacher turned at her and yelled at the same time "WHAT DO YOU YOU DON'T KNOW THEM?" XD). I don't know much about the GazettE (other than what I've heard from some friends who stan them hard) but they seem quite popular in Japan and much more popular overseas.

I've had one time a girl tell me that she used to listen to MUCC when she was in middle school but that was it. But thanks to me, a handful of friends still living in Japan who don't like v-kei at all know who MUCC are, what they look like and so XDD.

I don't see how playing a small venue (capacity is up to 2,500 from what I see) justifies that price though. Many smaller acts perform there and charge 4000-7000~ per ticket, I assume without losing money if they sell well enough, which means X Japan's profit from this is going to be ridiculous.

They already have a system that makes reselling practically impossible (it's a lottery, you can only apply for one ticket, it's gonna have your name on it and they'll be ID'ing people at the entrance), and since it's a lottery, everyone will get a fair chance to buy one. I really don't understand what kind of justification they could possibly have for this price, other than "but we're X Japan!!! (/I'm Mana?? lol)".

They're probably simulating a luxury version the  Coachella festival (what if they have Beyonce come up the stage, maybe that's why the price has so many zeros in it XD)

Bet you it will get sold out though XD. The X Japan fans I've met in Japan seemed to be having a thicc™ bank account and, even though they complain about being expensive, they might still give it a go just for the heck of it.
