Personally, I'd love this. Not only would it be an opportunity to track stuff I possibly want, but I think it'd help people find new things they didn't know were coming or help people find new bands to follow, that's my thoughts on it!

Cancelling from them is practically impossible, they say email them to cancel, when you do they don't respond

So CDJapan replied to my email, and in short admitted that them moving warehouse has become a shitshow due to them not taking to account new items coming in at the same time (or something along those lines)
My order could be delayed to an extra week.

having the same problem with CDjapan so i feel you...
i got a CD pre-ordered which was released on 30.05.2018 and only because of the warehouse moving it is still not "in stock" although it should definitely be since i never got an email saying it takes additional time etc... so i'm fucked as well but what can you do...

@VkBrutaliaN I think this whole ordeal has made me lose faith in CDJapan, not because of the delays, but because of their lack of communication and reassurance that they will ship orders. Their reply to my email was hardly apologetic either, it was just a very matter of fact email with information that they'd already provided on their website.

yea exactly this: "Their reply to my email was hardly apologetic either" when i wrote them on monday... but i said to myself if the CD i ordered still isn't in shipping process the upcoming monday I'll write them again but i still hope for the best... and except of the "mamireta" incident i never got any problem with them...
and luckily being a Vk fan for about 10 years learned me one thing: PATIENCE! like i remember in the first years i was so pissed when i had to wait for an order to arrive longer then 4 days (i always ship via EMS) and nowadays i am just like well it sucks but whatever... XD
you won't believe how often EMS shipping take like 4-8 days even to arrive in my country... so i really learned just to deal with it in terms of waiting longer than i actually should.

Looks like in within the "small amount of delays" CDJapan were talking about, not being a dick but I pre ordered it on the day it was announced and paid for FedEx Priority so I'd get it today, least they could do is focus on people who ordered in these circumstances. Maybe I am being a dick idk. I've been a customer with them for a few years now, but I'm may consider someone else in future. How's the 15th anniversary DVD?

The course I want is at the best university in my city, University of Leeds (Princess Kako of Akishino, granddaughter of Emperor Akihito, actually just finished studying there a couple of days ago! It was big news for the UK!) So I assume the courses are all highly regarded with great lecturers too! That sounds really interesting, and also fun! Aim for it, work for it and I'm sure you'll get a positive outcome! And there's nothing to say you can't take a course in computer science in your spare time!

Thank you for the advice, I really appreciate it! I guess I just want to be super sure I want to do it. It's tempting because you don't even have to know the language, they say it's the correct pathway if you're interested in learning a language. You just study the politics and such of China, Japan, and Thailand PLUS you get to choose whether you want to learn Chinese, Japanese or Thai (I'd obviously pick Japanese XD), however, I don't know how much Japanese you could learn in just a year. The grade requirement is a 2:1 in a degree that's relevant, and I'm assuming broadcast journalism fits with politics and such. I hope you get to pursue your desired career! It must be pretty technical if it mixes games and psychology, what is it that you want to pursue if you don't mind me asking?
