Tbh I'm hoping for less uptempo tracks on this album. I really want another WHAT'S MY NAME? Feels like he's been releasing the same album for years now. Normally I wouldn't mind if I liked the style, but I'm not into this uptempo dance shit with synths and autotune.

katsuma from coldrain on drums. katsuma worked with Kiyo on SOLOIST. Kiyo and katsuma Also, Looks like celloist Rubin Dupuy will also appear on the album. Robin appeared on the light and shade albums, and UNDER THE SUN.

This was such an insane year for them. Fans probably had to work 2x as much too to afford all the stuff they released. 5 albums I think, not counting the tribute? And all the touring? Wow

Man... That tracklist is sorta... Eh. Like, why is CLASSIC there? It just came out last year. It was soooorta okay? Not the most memorable MUCC song. EMP was on the album from this year. There's nothing from the HOUYOKU album on here. The black sheep album I guess? Nor 6? They could have pulled a lot better of GOKUSAI. How did someone not cover D-O-G. That would have been better than classic or gerbera. Anyway, happy to see KISHIDAN involved... Even though I was hoping to see more from the other reveals. No heidi. or PLC?

They sent out a tweet earlier in the day linking to a webpage where you can vote (until Sunday) for one self-cover that will appear on the album. http://www.55-69.com/songs/ I voted for KOMOREBI from HOUYOKU but I'm not holding my breath that song will win out... Probably a popular single track. So yeah, I personally think it will come out in mid-late Nov/early December. Still haven't revealed the four extra bands/musicians nor the songs being covered by each band. I wonder if The Yellow Monkey would be up for it... I think Lovin at least would maybe do it.

Kiyoharu posted a few pics of the recording process on his instagram. Thought he was going to work on a SADS album/mini/single given it's been ages since the last release, and because of restart of activities this year, but it looks like he's proceeding with a new solo album first. Miyoken (M-Age/THE MORTAL) and yoshitsugu (Eins:Vier/alcana) are shown along with Hideyuki Ohashi. So that's three guitarists. No clue yet who he's gotten on drums and bass. I enjoyed the entire album, even LMC. Whatever.

It's people and cover albums in general. They feel it has to sound exactly the same or they question why the thing exists... Totally missing the point. The audio on the video sounds off. Could be the mix of the track itself or who knows what. Kiyo and the musicians he worked with don't give the impression that they were in the same room recording. lynch. is another one that feels the same way. Hopefully it sounds better on the CD.

Like the sound of most of that. Really like the AIKAWA cover. Not surprised by the reactions tho... People have a difficult time understanding the concept of a cover album. So he's singing like Ryutaro then...

He's definitely gotten very political too. I probably shouldn't be following his instagram because I'm only exposing myself to it... But every once in a while he'll post a cool pic, like for example of himself and Koshi Inaba (B'z), or he'll reveal he's working on the next album (currently) so I stop from disconnecting. It's not even wether I agree with the statement or not, it's just that I can't stand when celebrities get all political. Music is usually an escape from this stuff so I have a strong aversion to this, and it feels like lecturing along with the motivational speak. Why can't he just just peddle fashion and jewelry like Kiyoharu?

Sounds really good! Wasn't expecting him to change the covers up that much.

They're a great band. Shame they didn't release anything other than a DVD or two the previous time they reunited (as far as I'm aware). Hopefully they get back into the studio.

Anyone still following him? I love WHAT'S MY NAME, SAMURAI SESSIONS vol 1, and the self-titled. I also appreciate much of the older stuff now, whereas in the past I didn't care. But, he's sort of lost me with the Others and Firebird. I liked the Real? single and Hallelujah from Firebird. But, that's about it... I generally like electro but I can't stand it in Miyavi's music. Wish he would go back to the stripped down sound of WHAT'S MY NAME and also stick to singing Japanese... While his enunciation is better than like 95% of other Japanese artists I listen to, the lyrics can be cringy so I wish I couldn't understand what he was sayinng. He apparently is working on a new album so I'm hoping for a style change again.
