Tweener-me stanned this band so hard when A Beautiful Lie came out, but when they basically sold out starting with their third album with making mainstream ~revolution rock~ and venturing onto Maroon 5-tier pop music, I stopped listening to them altogether. It also didn't help that Jared Leto was becoming more of a celebrity and letting the fame get into his head. :/ Such a shame...

ELYSION - I stanned them mainly because they were a Megaromania-copycat band. However, their production and Bidoh's voice wasn't as impressive as their compositions. Basically after Shuuen no Campanella, they were starting to become a trainwreck, and their album is a tragic example of wasted potential. The production of APOTHEOSIS was just as bad, if not worse, than the original War of the Dead Paradise and the collab single with Labaiser. Megaromania (after 2010) - It's weird saying this because Megaromania was actually my first vk band. I got into them pretty late, around late 2012 or so, and that was when Propaganda and Heaven's Novel were released. I decided to check out the rest of their discography, and after years of revisiting their music, I found that I preferred their earlier stuff compared to their style change after their short 2010 hiatus. When they first formed, they still had that Metis Gretel vibe, but added a tinge of metal into it. However, after Leda left, they became a complete power-metal band (like Versailles) and abandoned their old-school aesthetic, and I haven't really been into much of their music during that period. I remember Artistical Glint being totally bland compared to the masterpiece that was Prophetic Faction; listening to those albums side-by-side, you'd think they were two different bands. However, the last two concept singles were the perfect closing curtain for them as they had done all they could do; sometimes it's better to break up after 5 years, than continue on for 5 more years of mediocrity.

Eins:Vier will restart activities at their oneman live, "Eins:Vier One Man Live 2017 "Searching For Me"", at Meguro Rockmaykan on November 19. No word on a support drummer yet... The band were originally active from 1990~1999 and later from 2011~2013. https://www.barks.jp/news/?id=1000145699

I completely forgot that they broke up last year. I remember being pretty devastated by that as they were starting to improve when they released their album. But as they were around for only a short time (and disbanded very suddenly too) I don't really see it as being one of the worst breakups of the year. That also makes me think of Malisend, who also broke up that year (I think??) after only being active for a short time, and they also had a huge following. For me though, they didn't really have much of an impact as Femme Fatale did. Pretty sure they did; Dada removed all references (besides his pics of course) of Velvet Eden, and he's been too busy with his "lolita brand" and continuing to work with Free-Will. Also, the dude's in his late 40s xD As for Chro, pretty sure that guy vanished off the face of the earth. Then again, it's only been a year, so I'd give Dada another year or two before he gets that itch again...

Devil Kitty Gt.Akina has been hospitalized due to his poor condition, which was found to be caused by a cerebral infarction (blockage or narrowing of arteries supplying blood and oxygen to the brain; ie. a stroke), and the band has cancelled their lives from their tour schedule, which included a performance on Aug 29, and later in November. As for other live dates, the rest of the members will continue to perform in Akina's abscence. As a result, their single, "裁きの悪魔" (sabaki no akuma) (due for release on Nov 1), has been postponed; the band will make another announcement about their activities in December, depending on Akina's condition. https://devil-kitty.com/contents/113643
