Whatever you think about suicide, i think people who say it's a cowardice are judging dead people, or people that are in a state of mind where they don't need to be judged. And i think it's vile to do so deliberately. Would have been better to say something like "it's sad" instead of "it's a cowardice", but judging is always easier, especially for people with the lack of ability to put themselves in the place of others.
