This sounds like Truth-era Sugizo and I'm ok with that. It's surprising to hear something bright and light from a DEG member in contrast to the dense and dim usual stuff. It's a nice start point and a refresher from the almost anti-commercial path DEG was on until recently.

I kind of wish Die's voice was a little more prominent, as I mostly hear Kobayashi's. But I really like the song.

I can't speak on Kouki, but Tsukasa has absolutely said he is a visual enka artist. He's not just "doing enka while wearing make up". He's still as vk as he ever was, he's just doing a different style musically.
Also as much as people don't like that someone can buy their way into vk, do you think some of your precious japanese bands don't do the EXACT same thing? You're calling him a poser because he's foriegn, but he's no better or worse than many others in the scene. Race shouldn't matter. If he was ethnically Japanese but born and raised in another country would you say all of that? Somehow I doubt it.

at this point i can't even be sure whether the posts above are serious questions, but let's assume they are...
 
this qualifies as vk news because he used to play in a vk band, even if what he's doing now isn't ostensibly vk. it's the same reason why d=out's vocalist's stuff is also classified under vk, and will continue to be even if the band doesn't exist anymore. being a gaijin or not is irrelevant. and as much as you might like to insist otherwise, there are plenty of overtly japanese aesthetic elements in the pv above.
 
now that i've made this post i realize i've wasted a few minutes responding to downright meaningless accusations that no one would even think of raising if the artist in question is japanese. it's sad and funny that seba and yohio threads are always magnets for such off-the-charts cynicism and bashing to the point that the mere mention of their names alongside 'vk' (or existence of threads about them) would somehow pulverize the untouchable sanctuary in our minds that is vk, or japanese music, or whatever.

it is announced at Black Gene For the Next Scene one-man live tour "生まれ直し(umarenaoshi)" tour final "新生(shinsei)-born again-" at Shinjuku ReNY at 2015/07/11 that their new maxi single "逆卍より、愛をこめて(gyakumanji yori ai wo komete)" will be released at 2015/09/02 (3 TYPE)
 
limited edition (1,944yen) will include CD (2 songs)+DVD (including "逆卍より、愛をこめて(gyakumanji yori ai wo komete)" PV), and regular edition TYPE A & B (1,620yen each) will include CD (3 songs with different track 3) only
 
 
btw they will hold their one-man live tour "逆卍解放システム(gyakumanji kaihou system)" since Kanazawa AZ at 2015/09/12 and up to tour final 4th anniversary one-man live "卍解(manjikai)" at TSUTAYA O-East at 2015/11/01

Off course music should be free to be share with every people, instead of its we always have the right to have inbred speech who syas, band does be with that's, because yes it's 2015.
 
Iif some off indies band wasn't as centered on themselves, maybe we have the chance to discover them, because I THINK spend more than 3000/4000yen in a cd just because the shop doesn't make oversea & shopping service steal us that suxx, or pay 1800/2000 in shipping that suxx too.
 
And the price of cd still continue to increase, because yes for the same price in Europe you have an album, in japan a single... and don't say "the produce cost is expensive", we all know that all off those cd are manufactured in tawain, or other underdeveloped countries who charges all inexpensive...
 
the simple fact to lend a cd to a friends it's illegal, so let us live, that's not the oversea doawnload who kill japanese band, but the simple fact that some japanese band didn't know why they have create this band...

sadly i don't think so. they've mentioned that they will go on hiatus after releasing Fuyu, which was the last of the 4 singles. that was before Blitz's disbandment announcement, so i take it that Kuroneko has effectively disbanded as well.
 
also Ryo mentioned just now that he probably won't be able to see the fans anymore after their last live. i guess he's gonna retire after Blitz disbands.

i am in love!! ;w; this seems like a more contemporary take on the kind of ambience they explored in sug life. personally i didn't mind the autotune that much since i think the effects fit right into the sound they're aiming for
