Without further delay, here are the RESULTS! By recent request, I have added the runner-ups for each category! __________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Best Overall Artist/Band Spoiler WINNER! キズ (Kizu), with an impressive 7 votes. Spoiler Runner-up: DIMLIM (6 Votes) Best Album Spoiler WINNER! Well this one was no surprise, we have DIMLIM's album CHEDOARA on top with a staggering 13 votes! Spoiler Runner-up: Dir en grey's The Insulated World (3 Votes) Best Single/Maxi-Single/EP Spoiler WE HAVE A TIE! I'm definitely snoozing on キズ (Kizu) apparently because BOTH their singles 傷痕 (Kizuato) AND「０」have been hailed best of the best for 2018 with 4 votes each. Spoiler Runner-up: Unlucky Morpheus - CADAVER/REVADAC and Diaura – Malice (2 Votes) Best Cover Art Spoiler WINNER! The GazettE take this one with 3 votes for their NINTH sick album cover art. I know I like seeing this on my MP3 player too haha. Spoiler Runner-up: Kiryu - 転生輪廻 (Tenshou Rinne) (2 Votes) Best Look Spoiler WINNER! ACME wins this one with 2 votes for their Zesshou Ouka album look. Spoiler Runner-up: None Best Newcomer Spoiler WINNER! With a cool 4 votes we have ヴィルシーナ (Verxina) taking the newcomer title. I have no clue who these guys are but clearly I should haha. Spoiler Runner-up: A Three-way tie between KHRYST+, Sarigia, and Mathilda (3 Votes) Best Veteran Spoiler WINNER! We have Dir en grey taking the title this year with 4 votes! Somewhere, Kyo must be proud lol. Spoiler Runner-up: None Best PV Spoiler WINNER! Aaaand another one for キズ (Kizu) for their 「０」PV with 5 votes! Apparently there's an unrestricted version? lol damn. Spoiler Runner-up: キズ (Kizu) - Steroid (2 Votes) Saddest Disbandment Spoiler WINNER! Looks like fans wept the most for 黒百合と影 (Kuroyuri to Kage) with 5 votes! Spoiler Runner-up: A tie between ゴシップ (Gossip) and【llll-Ligro-】 (3 Votes) Most Overhyped Band Spoiler WE HAVE A TIE LADIES AND GENTS! No surprise that Dir en Grey is on here lol, but joining them this year is キズ (Kizu), both with 5 votes a pop! Man, if only they knew they were loved and hated haha. Spoiler Runner-up: A three-way tie between 8P-SB (why?), まみれた (Mamireta), and The GazettE (2 Votes) Most Overhyped Release Spoiler WINNER! The GazettE's NINTH Album wins this year with 5 votes! Now I can't deny that I too was onboard this Gaze-hype train lol. Spoiler Runner-up: Dir en grey - The Insulated World (4 Votes) Most Underhyped Band Spoiler LOOKS LIKE A TIE FOLKS! Both Sarigia and emmurée win this year with 2 votes each. Lets show them some more love this year MH folks! Spoiler Runner-up: None Most Anticipated Release Spoiler WINNER! The Insulated World by Dir en Grey wins this year with 4 votes! If you don't believe me go visit the DEG artist thread around that time lol. Spoiler Runner-up: The GazettE's NINTH album (3 Votes) Band that Changed their Sound for the Best Spoiler WINNER! Clearly the MH people noticed as DIMLIM wins this year with 6 votes! Spoiler Runner-up: None Band that Changed their Sound for the Worse Spoiler WINNER! With 7 votes this year, its no surprise that DEZERT would be most cringe by majority opinion. I have to agree. Spoiler Runner-up: Satsuki (but are we surprised?) (2 Votes) Band that you spent most of your money on in 2018 Spoiler WINNER! Dir en Grey still has people buy their stuff it seems lol, with 2 votes as proof! Spoiler Runner-up: None What the hell were they thinking!? Award Spoiler WINNER! Making me chuckle at how low I knew they'd go, 8P-SB wins with 7 votes, being recognized by MH for something at least. Spoiler Runner-up: A two-way tie between Sugar or Dry (not surprised...) and Kisaki's Life (you guys are awful lol) (3 Votes) Best Revival/Returns Spoiler WE HAVE A TIE! Both Mirage and DuelJewel have graced us with their return to the scene! Awesome. Spoiler Runner-up: None An amazing display of results if I may say 😎.
