TheZigzagoon 670 Posted February 14, 2018 Hey guys, I'm thinking about recording covers but my budget goes as far as finding any instrumental I can, then recording in audacity. I have barely enough funds to buy a mic, but I'm going to buy one I've seen for £55. I just need to know if there's any decent vocal recording and editing software that's free. If I have to pay a small amount fair enough but I need something.
Biopanda 2675 Posted February 14, 2018 A lot of people that I know tend to go with REAPER. There's a 60-day free trial with it, so you can have plenty of time to see if it works for you.

Himeaimichu 1535 Posted February 14, 2018 I'd also recommend Reaper. Oh, also, if you want a good, cheap Mic. Check out Pyle mics. They have these really good SM57 clones that cost 12 USD (I believe that's 8 pounds) and they're known to be really good for the price. The build quality isn't the best, but the sound quality is pretty good. It's the Pyle PDMIC
Kira_Uchiha 92 Posted February 14, 2018 Reaper for sure, it's easy to use and has a 60 day trial and after the 60 days you can still keep using it.
