Nowhere Girl 189 Posted April 16, 2016 Can anyone recommend any Japanese Industrial bands? Industrial Rock, Industrial Metal, Industrial Electronic, I don't care. The grimier the better. I'm only aware of two bands in this genre: Baal Blam Honey
LIDL 692 Posted April 17, 2016 There used to be a band called DESPAIR, they were pretty good. Don't confuse them with DespairsRay tho. Then, you may want to try GPKISM, and Aural Vampire

Tokage 5930 Posted April 17, 2016 (edited) Schwein Spoiler SCHAFT Spoiler ZEITLICH VERGELTER Spoiler Der Eisenrost Spoiler Suicide Ali Spoiler acid android Spoiler Here's a couple that are all over the industrial spectrum. Oh, I remembered a couple more: - Guniw Tools' DAZZLE album has some industrial vibes on a couple of tracks - hide's (sadly) short-lived English project, Zilch - Not sure if it'd count more as digital hardcore or industrial, but AA= might also be up your alley Edited April 17, 2016 by Tokage
Jigsaw9 6783 Posted April 17, 2016 (edited) Despair, Der Eisenrost (Chu Ishikawa <3) and old Schaft all the way! Does anyone know of any current, or as of yet unlisted industrial bands from Japan? I mean the 'old' kind of industrial, more tribal and experimental than the usual copy-paste industrial rock (along the lines of old Einstürzende Neubauten, Test Dept and the like). Oh, and since I mentioned Der Eisenrost, I only saw this excellent live vid just now: Amazing. Edited April 17, 2016 by Jigsaw9
Nowhere Girl 189 Posted April 18, 2016 Despair is basically impossible to find anything about. After numerous searches, I found their Beautiful Japanese Sight single on Youtube, which is kind of amazing! Did they really only have one album?
TetsuAkira 289 Posted April 18, 2016 I saw one of their albums (Despair) hanging around ages ago and never DL'd it. Interested now haha.
Nowhere Girl 189 Posted April 18, 2016 The only info I can get is on discogs. Does anyone have high quality rips of this stuff?

Jigsaw9 6783 Posted April 18, 2016 (edited) I thought I made a Despair discography thread here on MH (I'm on mobile now, harder to check), but if not, I can pretty much upload everything that's available (I have most of their CDs). Edit: nope, looks like I only wanted to make one but never did. Now's the chance tho! Traxan 148 Posted April 18, 2016 I dunno, to me industrial is as uniquely German as VK is Japanese. That said, Baal wasn't too bad.
