Bear 1817 Posted December 7, 2015 FInished Terriers today and thought it was excellent. I can't believe this was cancelled after just one season. Smart, witty and charming with some lovely characters and fantastic chemestry between many of them. Totally recommended! And started on The Good Guys. First episode had me in tears. Hilarious action-comedy about two cops, one old, old school co and one young, modern cop. Can't wait to continue on this series.

plastic_rainbow 2162 Posted December 8, 2015 Used to watch Supernatural here and there when it was on tv and then stopped after missing too many episodes and getting confused by the overall plot. But well, yesterday I randomly decided to pick it up and watch from the beginning. Had no idea that the series began all the way back in 2005 though! It'll take a while to catch up, and I can't wait to meet Castiel because he's probably my favorite.
doombox 4421 Posted December 22, 2015 Ahhh supernatural from the beginning. That will be fun (and painful xD) I'm a couple seasons behind but I plan to catch up. I started The Originals and it is everything I wished True Blood was. 1 plastic_rainbow reacted to this
Ada Suilen 652 Posted December 24, 2015 I've just finished to watch the first episode of the latest product from USA Network, Colony... Pretty good episode, good acting and plot! If you love sci-fi, dystopia and family drama you will love this one! 1 doombox reacted to this
plastic_rainbow 2162 Posted December 24, 2015 Finished season 2 of Supernatural! wow, so dean and sam were both technically dead all along in the later seasons. 1 doombox reacted to this
Bear 1817 Posted January 4, 2016 Christ, the new seaon of Fargo is good. Season one was excellent, but this is just way better than the first season in every way possible. This is nothing short of brilliant. Some of the best shit made for TV over the past 10 years.
Gaz 1097 Posted January 4, 2016 ^ at the beginning i was worried because first half of season 2 wasn't as good as 1st season wasm but by the end they've managed to pull out everything i wanted to see there. best show of 2015 without any doubts. as well as 1st season is my number 1 for 2014. can't fucking wait what will they show us in the next season! meanwhile, marathoning The X-Files (almost finished 7th season). a very decent show, despite some cheesy moments. almost every episode written by Chris Carter or Vince Gilligan has been pretty awesome tbh. Bear 1817 Posted January 5, 2016 Really? It had me captivated from the first picture, and from there on I could barely stop watching. Only stopped for going to work actually. I loved the first season and had huge expectations, but this was way beyond what I had dared to wish for. Makes the first season look like childrens games. And the soundtrack? Wow, top fucking notch! So good, man. I really liked Mike Milligan, which is one of the coolest characters made for TV, and Hanzee was badass! Spoiler for season 2: I also liked the fact that the entire serves as a prequel to season 1, but only with small connections so you can see this and love the fuck out of it without seeing season 1 which is only natural for an anthology series. And Lou, little Molly and the idea of Hanzee as Mr. Tripoli, which more or less makes this season one big, fat origin story for Mr. Tripoli, Lou and Molly, was very cool. A nice touch to really connect it to season 1. And: BRUCE god damn CAMPBELL! A very, very good season. So much win! I'm gonna watch Army of Darkness when I get home from work today, then start watching Ash vs. Evil Dead which looks so cool. Massive expectations!
Gaz 1097 Posted January 5, 2016 well yeah, 2nd season is really good, i can't deny it. yet there are still some things which are bugging me about it. obviously, after making such an outstanding 1st season Hawley tried to make this one even better: more charismatic characters, more criminal/detective stuff, more killings and of course more idiosyncrasies (still not sure how to feel about that UFO thing lol). however, to me it looks like trying to make it better they a bit overdid it(but just a bit). also, imo, Gerhardt family wasn't that remarkable to have so much time in the show. yeah, they were an important part of the story, but quite a few scenes with them were pretty useless and not really interesting. and one more thing that first season had is Lorne fucking Malvo, flawlessly played by Billy Bob Thornton. he's the main reason why do i love Fargo so much. true, Hanzee was a decent replacement for him but, unfortunately, his character didn't receive enough screen time in this season. i'm just really curious what's gonna happen in the 3rd season. since it's 2010, there'll definitely be some with Molly and other folks from season 1. ugh, spring 2017, more than a year of wait :/
beni 2149 Posted January 23, 2016 Watching HUMANS atm and I am loving the android related drama involved in it. It captivates you right from the get go, and while events either come and go too quickly or too slowly, it's well worth the watch. I wanted to watch the series ever since its first teasers, and seeing it as a nominee for the National TV awards reminded me I needed to get to it. It reminds me of sci-fi/robot animes like Chobits which is totally a plus. Also, Katherine Parkinson is everything. <
Original Saku 1593 Posted January 23, 2016 I'm like halfway through Man in the High Castle and it's pretty cool i guess, need to finish it soon. Also Watched Netflix's Making A Murderer and was pretty floored with it. Really good documentary, very shocking tbh.

Bear 1817 Posted February 6, 2016 Was listening to mid-era Running Wild (pirate themed power/speed metal) earlier this week and felt and urge to watch some pirate films/series, but I couldn't find too many series so I started watching Black Sails and finished the first season in a day or so. There's some boring characters, corny dialogue and iffy acting at times, but overall I enjoyed it and I sense a geat potential buried underneath it all. Can see this turning into a masterpiece within a few seasons. I wish it was a bit more gritty, though. Darker and with meaner pirates. Gets a huge plus for some great violence and blood, as well as nudity. Yay for tits! Visually, and with it's simple but effective battles, it often reminds me of a lesser Game of Throne with pirates. Stylistic it seems to be very inpired by Game of Thrones. Far from the same quality, though. Great theme song too. Superb actually! Will continue with season 2 next week. Gaz 1097 Posted February 6, 2016 There's some boring characters, corny dialogue and iffy acting at times, but overall I enjoyed it and I sense a geat potential buried underneath it all. ^this! the second season was much better than 1st and much more intensive, too. really looking forward to its 3rd season which just has started 2 weeks ago. watched Into the Badlands which was alright. cool fights and some interesting characters are there. also watched first episode of BBC's War and Peace. looks good so far, so i'm gonna continue with it. Ikna 1225 Posted February 6, 2016 I am a hardcore fan of the early X-files seasons and so far I didn't like the first episode of the new season. I haven't seen the other one(s) yet, maybe they are better. Though the problem is, that I have never been a fan of mytharc episodes in the first place. I am more interested into seeing creepy mutations, monsters, supernatural powers than big-eyed aliens. Episode one moved very slowly, didn't reveal much new information. I can understand why they did it, mainly as an (re)introduction, but still… now I hope the producers had learned from their past mistakes (season 9, ugh) and will do it better. I also recently finished Luther and well, I also don't get the hype. To be honest, season 2-3 had so many blatant plotholes it's a wonder how they managed to get so much praise. Feeling most of the positive reviews came from Idris Elba fanboys/girls. Well, at least it was not as illogical as Heroes… still bothered me though, because it really looked like the writers were thinking their audience was stupid. Bear 1817 Posted February 16, 2016 Just finished Black Sails, season 2. What the fuck am I supossed to say about this season? Season 1 was good, entertaining and interesting (much because it's pirate themed), but season 2 is simply one hell of a beast and gets better and better, more interesting and more fucking badass with every single episode. Jesus, that season finale was IMMENSEI It's everything you could possibly want from a season finale in a modern TV-series. Mindblowing! Itend to get up at 5:30am in the morning and thought I'd go to sleep early for a change (which is before 1am I guess, but I'd be damned surprised if Black Sails just didn't decide on stealing all my beauty sleep for tonight. I fucking love how Flint & co. turned in to the motherfucing bastards I've wanted them to be since the begining of the series. Yes, bad pirates! Parasites. A meneace to the rest of society. Fantastic! Keep on killing every man, woman and every now and then children plz! Keep it cumming! 2 Ada Suilen and Gaz reacted to this
Bear 1817 Posted February 17, 2016 Watched the four first episodes of season 3 last night too. It's so god damn good, man! Got meself no less than one fucking hour in bed last night, only 20-25 minutes of the asleep I'd assume. Black Sails is so good it's starting to fuck up my life. Impressive! I love it. 2 Gaz and Ada Suilen reacted to this
Gaz 1097 Posted February 21, 2016 watched Freaks and Geeks earlier this week. an alright family series with some funny moments here and there. also watched 3 episodes of the new X-Files. it's pretty good and i wouldn't mind if they will prolong it for one more season or even two. but yeah that mythology arc has became fucking ridiculous by now. have to admit that each year makes Gillian Anderson hotter and hotter, so even if The X-Files will be utterly shitty i will continue to watch it anyway. right now i'm watching Rome. HBO + historical drama = fucking epic shit!
Bear 1817 Posted February 21, 2016 I finished The Good Guysthe other day. I was entertained throughout the whole series, but it didn't manage to follow up on the fantastic start. That's ofte a problem with series that go with 15+ episodes in a single season. 10-13 is usualy more than enough, and so it would've been here. Every episode are built the same, and you just know how the episodes will go. And when you follow this recipe for 21 episodes it gets a bit old. Glad It's over, but the first 5-10 epsodes were superb!
Bear 1817 Posted March 4, 2016 Finished Agent Carter season 2 yesterday, and I thought it was better than season 1. A bit darker, more serious and not quite as light-hearted, even though it's still a bit to child-friendly for my taste. But it was another very solid season and I am really looking forward to season 3.
Mind of the sun 71 Posted March 4, 2016 Started to re watch LOST a month ago. Love it even more than the first time around. I also watch It's always sunny in Philadelphia I surprised the show is still so funny after 10 seasons. beni 2149 Posted March 10, 2016 Tried to get into the new British TV show said to be the next 'Misfits' called 'The Aliens' but the whole set up sounds ludicrous and unappealing. I tried fifteen minutes and had to watch something else on Channel 4 because I didn't find myself hooked in immediately like the suggested similar masterpiece of a show that is 'Misfits'. First thing we learn about these "aliens" is that they look like us but the main problem is that they sell their hair (which is how we know they're aliens: it turns green when lit on fire) as the drugs we already have in existence. Yeah... I'm not buying it... I don't know why I find that so dumb. Or maybe I'm not getting the humor. On a better ending note, I had watched Graham Norton's 'Ah-So Graham Norton: Secret Life of Japan', focusing on the younger Irish comedian and presenter Norton travelling in Japan. I've only seen the 'Ah-So Graham Norton' episode but there seems to be 12 episodes in total and only this one legally available but I'm totally digging into this one more. You can find the episode below on YT which I hadn't stumbled on there but on Channel 4 (yes I reverted to watching this after the fail that was 'The Aliens'). He might be more of a sarcastic twat then than now, but it was an entertaining watch. Nothing like having to accept Japan as the pervy, sexual beasts that they are with websites focused on uploading videos of a group of men fondling a sleeping woman on a crowded train, and seeing kid shops with a porn section right besides it.
