I am here. Always.

Hello.

I am Riley. Hey I remember you and you! Its been years, I was big into TW in 08 when I actually was pretty crazy about VK and Jrock, but after a while I kind of got bored of it, and thus stopped posting and stuff.

But now I'm getting into it again, hopefully the music's changed for the better (ugh a lot of the bands from 10-11 were epic shit) so I'm just looking around for new stuff from bands I used to like.

Things sure have changed though! Nice to meet all the people that have joined throughout the years.

Yo~

Welcome abroad! I am a Remnant of TW as well. Tho I don't think I remember you.

And I totally know that feeling, seems like most of us have that "Hiatus from VK" moment, I myself have been through that a while ago. But VK releases are not bad these days I ensure you.

Galeyd, Mejibray, A (Anonymous Confederate Ensemble) are some of new VK bands which I believe will be worth your time.

Nice to meet you!

These are good new bands, also add in Signal. If you explain what kind of vk bands you prefered back then (Oshare, Visual, Harsher style visual, etc) then I can try and help you out on getting into good new bands :D

Oh well, in terms of what kind of type of VK/Jrock I liked...

Asaki (No. 1 favorite)

*Saruin (No. 1 1/2 favorite)

Buck Tick (No. 2 favorite) but mainly their earlier stuff

Kozi (No. 3 favorite)

*Malice Mizer

Moi Dix Mois

D

*Distraught Overlord

Nega

*Rentrer en Soi

*9Goats Black Out

Baroque

OZ

lynch

Kannivalism

Julius

Despairs ray

Clearveil

Kaya

Versailles

Megamasso

Sid

Mucc

*Lareine

Lolita 23q

Hizaki Grace Project

The looks are an important part of the whole VK thing but lately I've been feeling like they're putting too much work into the appearance as opposed to the music. Partly the reason why I stopped listening.

Not to mention nearly all my favorite bands disbanded.* D:

Awww, our tastes are a bit different. But I love some of the bands you mentioned above.

-Oz-, Lynch., and Versailles are quite active, so that's one thing you should look forward to.

And answering your comment regarding the appearance/look, this is Versailles' new look in case you don't know yet. XD

I'm afraid you'll be largely unimpressed by todays VK (mejibray on a list of decent bands says lots about grade of the scene's stagnation), but baroque are back as of 2012.

haven't been a fan of their comeback material, but it's better than nothing.

lynch have been really strong recently - if you haven't listened their latest album, give it a try, it's awesome.

if you liked RES, grab sucksucky's solo projects singles and mini - but lower your expectations beforehand, it's a major step down from any RES era work, except for 3-4 songs (and one of the good ones is composed by Mika, their drummer, lowering Suck-chans potential a bit more.)

kaya, the true empress of dead and living, gay and straight, cosmic and earthly, is doing better than ever, but diehard fans may argue.

I have been unimpressed, that's partly the reason why I haven't been into it lately because I'm stuck in the earlier stuff and I keep comparing it to the new stuff. Sad life.

But I love Kaya! Looking forward to that, at least.

Hey there.

I think I remember you. :staru:

Hey!

Yeah, I keep leaving and coming back. I'm like "well the new stuff can't be this bad..." and then it usually leads to "OH GOD WHAT THE HELL IS THIS CRAP?!"

I think now I just miss it too much. :c
