When using a spoiler it would help the non-readers of the books if you state what the spoiler contain, just to tip us off. I haven't opened up the spoilers over here because I don't know what I'll find. Spoilers from the series? Spoilers from the books? A mix of both? Anyway, I think this season's really started off well. Ramsay Snow is kinda walking the same path as Joffery did. The kind of shitkid I disliked and wanted death to begin with, but am now starting to fall in love with. He's despicable in a lovely way.

The new Germ (solo project of Tim Yatras (Austere, Woods of Desolation, Germ) sounds pretty good. The debut was a trance-esque electronica black metal album and is awful, the second album had a lot more black metal and depressive rock influences and is much better, without being exceptional or anything. The song Butterfly is exceptional, though. Byt the upcoming album, Escape, seems to be Tim Yatras returning to form. What I've heard from the album sounds more like Austere and later Woods of Desolation, especially the latter. Looking forward to getting to know this album.

Black Metal Yesteryear, a blog for black metal demos, recently uploaded Gnome's self-titled debut demo. This demo has been impossible to find for years and is worth your time. It's not quite as unique as Under the Black Moon, but a fantastic demo nonetheless and quality-wise it's not too far behind. As with Under the Black Moon it's very Burzum-, Forgotten Woods-, Strid- and Nidhoggr-esque, but unique and still different. Top quality black metal!

After being impressed with Rotting Christ's newest album, Ritual, I decided it was about time I gave their other recent albums a new chance as well and I am slowly starting to truly get into them. Rituals, Κατά τον δαίμονα εαυτού and Aealo are really doing it for me these days. Will start working on the four albums released from 2000 to 2007 soon too. See if they do more for me now than they did a few years back. Always loved Time Stands Still from Khronos though. What a song!

I really liked Chef. It's a very simple story, but also incredibly effective and it truly does its job. The food porn is a massive bonus. Some of the food shots were amazing and more than enough reason by themself to watch the film. They're shot in such a way I got plenty water in my mouth, and that rarely happens with food on film for me. Lovely stuff!

What are the ex-members of Kagrra doing these days? I wish the remaining members would form a band together with some of the spirit of Kagrra. Not a carbon-copy of course, but something along the lines of mid-era Kagrra.

A Punisher spinoff has reportedly been ordered by Marvel, with Bernthal set to return as the vigilante character. Steve Lightfoot (Hannibal) will write, executive produce, and serve as showrunner. http://www.slashfilm.com/punisher-spinoff/ Fuuuuuuck yeah! This is great news.

I've only heard two songs off the new John Carpenter album, but I am diggin' it. Thought it had more of a classic John Carpenter sound to it than his debut album. Really looking forward to Perturbator of course. Gonna be great!

Damn, that was awesome. Didn't know he'd go with a full band. The man is touring the US of A these days. I'm so hoping someone can get him to norway. I'd kill to see him warm up for Goblin or something.

What did you think of the new song? It's of poor quality, but it's possible to get an impression anyway. Also, if anyone enjoys watching metal documentaries I'd recommend taking a look at this thread: http://nwnprod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=54172&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 A massive thread of documentaries about metal.

Occult Burial is fantastic!Should be interesting for anyone into the first wave of black metal (Bathory, Sodom, Hellhammer, Sepultura, Vulcano, NME, Bulldozer and so on. Great stuff!

I really liked the new song, and I am very interested in hearing more. I don't expect a new Choronzon, but because of Paul Scanlan I do expect something better than Words That Go Unspoken, Deeds That Go Undone and Antichrist. Neither ara bad albums, but they were not nearly as good as the previous albums, especially not Choronzon which is a perfect mix of black metal, death metal and progressive musikk. Words... and Antichrist lacked the black metal feeling IMO. They lost some of what made them so unique to begin with. Haven't played either in a long, long time though, so I will replay them today/tomorrow to see what I think about them in 2016.

I don't take pictures at gigs do I don't mind it at all. In fact I think it's great.

Akercocke is back. Kinda surprised to be honest. Vevry surupised. Thought they were gone for good.

Superb album, like all the albums until and including it. Not too keen on anything released after it though. Not bad, but not nearly as good as the stuff from 96 and back.

Had my brother visiting this weekennd and he brought his WiiU over, so me and my girl have started on Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze and it's so much fun. Once again they've managed to keep the spirit of the original trilogy, but without just repeating themself. Crazy good game! Played some Splatoon online as well, and it's really fun. Great game! Bought a new graphics card too, so now I have my computer working again. I'm back at playing Borderlands and Darkness Within: In Pursuit of Loath Nolder, as well as Rocket League. Me and my brother played it in a total of 18 hours this weekend. Will start playing online with him and two friends soon enough. Should be fun. One of the best/funniest "football" games I've played, if not the best. Played splitscreen co-op with my brother and we destroyed most of 'em.

Class of 1984 - Mark L. Lester's (Commando, Showdown in Little Tokyo) starts off as a fairly standard low-budget high school drama with lots of social commentary in the mix, but as the film goes on it gets clearer and clearer that this isn't your regular high school drama at all, but a ruthless exploitation film with one of the most shocking ends in the history of film. This cult classic has a lto of social commentery in it, but that doesn't have anything to do with the reaosn why this turned out so good. There's three reasons as to why this i so great: The teacher, played by Perry King, is well-written and superbly acted. The punk gang, led by a ruthless Timothy Van Patten, is so good. Crazy, fucked up humans. I mean, they're silly and over the top, but they're so facinating. And the main reason is the way the film just goes on doing it own thing, breaking as many rules as it follows. No matter how many times you watch it you'll be shocked. That's quality! I also believe that if not for the harsh ending this film would've had a status as a classic in 2016, and it would've been talked about together with films such as The Warriors. But because of the ending it's lumped in together with films such as Savage Streets, Vigilante and Death Wish. I love me a young Michael J. Fox too. Awesome! Fantastic film! By the way, talking about Death Wish and shit. Aharon Keshales and Navot Papushado, the israeli duo behing the fantastic Big Bad Wolves, will direct the remake. Not too keen on a remake as I see the film as near perfect, but that's how it is. Surprised they want to make direct a remake to be honest.

À bout portant (Point Blank) - An intense, bleak and brutal thriller with a cool twist on a familiar plot. Point Blank is superbly acted and well-directed, it's clever and there's not really anything to dislike here. It's a fairly low-key in many ways. There's no car explosions, there's no heroics. It's all about intensity and the human psyche, and what an awful situation can do to you. And at 85 minutes it's also really fast-paced. It doesn't give you many minutes to catch your breath throughout the film. I wish the ending was a bit different, but other than that it's all good. Very good! Savage Streets - Brilliant exploitation vigilante actioner by Danny Steinmann (Friday the 13th: A New Beginning), starring Linda Blair, with smallers roles by scream queen Linnea Quigley and John Vernon. It's basically a Death Wish ripoff, but when done so good it's not a problem at all. It's truly great! This isn't a great film per se, but as far as exploitation goes it's almost perfect. It's over-the-fuckin-top acting-, dialogue- and plot-wise, it's got great, sleazy action and characters and lots of nudity. It's trash, but it's the ind of trash you value. It's the kind of thrash you don't throw away because it means so much to you. It's great!

Fuck yeah! This is gonna be one of the best albums of the year. For sure!

Showdown In Little Tokyo - Silly early 90's action-cheeze by Mark L. Lester (COmmando, Class of 1984) with a badass Dolph Lundgren and a disappointing Brandon Lee in the lead roles. Showdown In Little Toky is a buddy-cop actioner that's badass as fuck, and awfully retarded at the same time. True to the genre there's a lot of comedy thrown in, but neither got any comedic timing and the dialogue is awful, but in a good way because it turns out pretty funny anyway. But probably not in the way they had wanted it to be. The story is straight to the point and simple, but effective, and the action is great, albeit very standard for this time and era. It's bad, but in a great way. A tour de force of macho-ism. Some great tits too. Yay for that! I'll post this clip here just try to give you an impression of how fucking silly this film is:
-
Yeah, it is. A very unique addition to the subgenre.

I wasn't too impressed with Creep meself. Gave it 6/10, which means it's alright, but not all that. Check out Patrick Brice's Creep instead. Something different than what you're looking for, but I'm sure it'll please you anyway.
