Is there any particular type of manga you like reading? More on the horror side, I guess some things by Junji Ito especially Gyo, and by others there's Gantz, Hideout and Terra Formers (although i've not caught up and it's not finished, I appreciate the amount of research gone into it). And there's also works by Kago Shintaro Don't know how to describe these, but of things like Oyasumi Punpun and Eden: It's an Endless World. Kind of have melancholic themes runnign through an average persons head. Eden is slightly less 'normal' due to the post-apocalyptic theme. Don't know if I described these right but yeah > < i'll elaborate if you want when i'm less tired and more eloquent Then there's the shonen-ai section with Let Dai. Made me cry so much you have no idea, I had to leave it a month before I could finish the last three volumes I guess bigger ones could include One Piece, Fairy Tail, Claymore and of course, the new star, Toukyou Kushu xD
  2. I think bike horn and bell solos go perfectly with the vuvuzela idea #futureofVK

Reviving this thread slightly (also super late but whatever), will check them out and thanks for all the suggestions The first ones to catch my eye were Arcturus, I've found myself studying to a fair amount of black metal esp in the atmospheric/depressive areas so i'm in the process of downloading their entire discog as I usually like to go with full albums *buzzing* so excite Anyhoo, I guess this is going slightly off topic

I've been on a little anime kick since I've finished my exams Finished Katekyo Hitman, Reborn! (finally), Kill la Kill, Coppelion, Fate Zero, Yuushibu and Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan. I started and finished Trigun along with the movie... As for currently watching, Aldnoah.zero hasn't really impressed me so far but we'll see about that I guess. Akame ga Kill seems promising even though I haven't read the manga, Tokyo Ghoul I WILL persist with due to my love of the manga and Free! is just.... of course that had to be on there > < Non ongoing series include Texhnolyze, Groove Adventure Rave and Aoi Bungaku And currently downloading the Kara no Kyoukai lot along with Perfect Blue

So yeah, I wonder if any of you guys still remember me > < It shouldn't take too long to get back into the habit of the daily MH check again Good to be back Hopefully this will kickstart a j-music trend again in my listening... My ability to tell the difference between various indie bands while on shuffle songs is dulling xD

I don't know how I've heard of half of these bands or why I have pictures of them on my computer But the mere fact I've actually heard of them creates a brief in my heart...

Bad day because when i'm down I like to write incoherent nonsense and a lot of my nonsense is on Andy I like to see how my state of mind fluctuates I didn't put any on my blog permanence it's all gone Also my cat has been missing for about 2 months now and not been spotted for 3 weeks his brother is at a loss It's scary I feel fatigue creeping back in it's never been so bad as to collapse in the middle of the street but man how easy it would be to give up I should probably be revising so I can get out of this shit hole of a sixth form but man how easy it would be to give up I found them again box covered in dust but the insides... pristine, unused and sharp but man how easy it would be to give up

Forever single for a myriad of reasons, low self esteem, what's considered a general depressive attitude towards the world, socially awkward, that little sarcastic one in the corner... I do get sad about it sometimes I guess, but I think I also have a tendency to mix up wanting close friends with wanting a relationship. -war flashbacks- But then again, unless we have some kind of overlap in interests i'm not good at small talk or the getting to know people thing. If there's stuff I want to talk about and get to know them, it's either music or the inner workings of their mind. Their world view. What do they think of the human race as a whole? What do they live for? Strong beliefs or internal moral conflicts they have regarding life. Which tends to be too intense for a lot of people and puts them off People don't tend to think about stuff like that all the time Yet I tend to be a deep thinker and I spend way too much time inside my own head, I know I should get out more but small talk makes me panic more often than not, especially when in places where people come up to YOU and try and make a conversation and you can't even reply back properly without wanting to know whether they're currently having an existential crisis But even within my friends, I find it hard to make conversations about anything that people usually find interesting Finding that ONE person And just wanting a close friend The line has become increasingly distorted

revising all today, reading textbooks and automatically going on tangents... well that's how these came about "matter of contingent fact" Does a matter of fact have to necessarily be contingent? Can we deny the existence of contingency in the first place due to the indispensable scaffolding of language? Interchangeability of 'fact' and 'truth'. Does one necessarily entail the other?

May actually get a Twitter just for this ^^; they're one of those bands I hardly ever see mentioned but I always seem to go back to and just instantly chill me out Ahhhhhhh, really hope something can work out >//////<

[[after i'd finished, I decided to read it back, WHOA I can barely make out my point despite it being mere minutes ago. But it just falls into the relevance of the random thoughts thread I guess]] Recently I've found the whole attitude towards music confusing. Maybe it's because I've been out of the loop, not only on MH but other places too. We criticize people and their way of making music, their livelihood. Rights. What rights do we have? Leaving it out there for the public to sample, they're asking for it... But asking for what exactly? Because I walk outside on a regular basis does that mean other people have the right to assault me? Of course not, we'd be stupid if we thought like that Or would we? Decency in the humans around you is the only thing that allows us to keep on living Okay, so I lost my trail of thought slightly there, but perhaps you're still with me. It's just the criticisms of music as if there's some objective standard of correctness that we ascribe to all music. Opinions are fine, reasoned well, keeping the space open so others can still breathe and not live in constant fear. But constant attacks and blunt rejections, dude... Visual kei too, reading a thread in 'News' about BORN. A concept of a favorite band? I don't really understand it. Taking each release as it comes rather than always looking back. Always comparing. Meaningless speculations, 'it's not their fault' Change? You can't bring it about... Refusing to believe that 'your' band will fall into 'that' category and turning a blind eye to everything that tells them that it is the case Epitome of the phrase Off topic again with my disjointed thoughts, apologies Maybe I just have an extremely dry sense of humor or some of my company has rubbed off on me finally. I can't draw a line between criticism, pure hate and jokes. Of course, i'm not one to talk. I'm just as responsible. But is it really so fulfilling?

Shitty quality pictures for a shitty quality person D:< On another note, I was invited to a Gatsby themed party...
  18. -face starts to droop- One of the few bands I was looking forward to seeing develop. I wasn't as blown over as some people by their first album (?eight songs?) but it definitely got me interested in them >///////< Hope to see them come back
  19. Muma

I guess you could view it that way but at the moment I think i'm at the determined stage where I think 'yeah I can do well at this even if I don't pay to get rare summons' Ahhhh still so naive, but you probably can get pretty far without paying anything (or so I hope)

Just wondering if anyone here played this. It's an online RPG card game available as an app on both android and apple And i'm just basically going through an obsessional phase with this game and wanted to share it.... Also if anyone has any guild recs for beginners i'd be eternally grateful If anyone wants to start it seriously then use the invitation ID creepichi and we'll both get perks out of it the higher level you get the better the perks are
  21. So... I've actually started going to the gym recently O_O and just wondering if there's any particular songs you like to run to. Is it because of the beat? Or just simply because you really like the song itself and keeps you motivated? VAMPS - Revolution Marilyn Manson - (s)AINT :a lot of his songs are on the slower side but idk I just REALLY like running to him, this one in particular Dir en Grey - Raison d'etre :this song reminds me of a chase scene in my head xP Versailles - zombie Dolly - Gothic Party D'espairsRay - LOVE IS DEAD The Gazette - Gabriel on the Gallows (and Leech but just because damn I love that song so much Green Day - St Jimmy :if anyone has any similar paced songs to this i'd be grateful, I feel like i'm flying on the treadmill when this comes on xD Gray no Theme (from the Fairy Tail OST) >>[x] these are just the ones which i'm enjoying at the moment (although there are a few more ^ _ ^)

I've been listening to Circle Takes The Square a lot, I mentioned them earlier on, and I've been looking for similar kinds of bands. Think kind of post-rock/metal and progressive metal with almost chilling screams and shouts that just transport you into a world that, to me, is in a constant apocalyptic state. I don't know how else to describe the vocals but I really like them on this style of music > < Anyway I found a band called Locktender and all of their stuff is available for free download, more info on their bandcamp http://locktender.bandcamp.com you'll probably know whether you'll like them or not on first listen (and if you do go listen to ctts NOW) oh and the best part...apparently 'philosophercore' is a thing now O_O

I tend to switch it up quite frequently but at the moment the bands i'm feeling the most are Plastic Tree (not sure if they count but I've seen them mentioned on here so screw it) BAISER SCREW DEATHGAZE D'espairsRay SINCREA honorable mentions, but currently not feeling them amber gris MUCC deadman DIV Kagrra, NightingeiL and because i'm a big fat CHEAT here are the first ones I got into because of publicity and ease of access but I can never let them go completely u_u The GazettE Alice Nine Dir en Grey Girugamesh
