10 Tracks on SHADOWS and no kickass song like Cultic My Execution. Sry ;D just had to say that.

I still like "The Avoided Sun" most. It's the most consistent for me. GALLOWS actually isn't bad either. Although there are much more fillers, it has a great nagoya kei vibe among the "stronger songs ( the first few+ the last few)
  3. Nagoya Kei and Eroguro Kei. Well actually Deathgaze can be classified as Eroguro too (as well as early Dir en grey). Just love the dark, aggressive, melancholic sounds.
  4. I thought they were trying to be a hard band.. and stuff. That title is the most gay theatre lover cliche thing I've heard in a while.

Today's the day for a great classic!
  6. DogManX

    Oh my god. Not again.
  7. DogManX

Blends in well with the former discussion. Reminds me also of those VK fans who tried to justify their fandom by saying "those western rock bands all sound the same anyway".

Everyone looks good with 20kg of makeup + photoshop. It's not rocket science. These guys obviously are dead afraid of aging
  9. DogManX

What's that name? How are they announcing themselves on stage?

That's what they said about DSS.. you people are funny. That's 10 seconds of Dir en grey for you and you're all like OOHH S GONNA BE AWESOOME or OOH IT WILL SOOCK. People just never learn. btw I still like DSS. I know that's like a sacrilege as a Dir en grey fan.

I discovered them from the japanese metal documentation (on youtube) and the distributed songs weren't that bad. They have definitely potential, didn't listen to their new stuff though. Yet, they're not like DA BOMB of japanese metal. Infernal revulsion, defiled and GxSxD are like my biggest hopes of j. extreme metal right now. None can surpass Vomit remnants though.. nerdnerdnerdnerdnerdnerdnerd

Yeah or "Narutow". Horrible >> It's supposed to be 'aniMAY'...as in animation. Well it's technically not supposed to. The japanese pronounciation is animeeshon or sth, so it's still aniME. But I guess it's ok with the english-speaking ones since the word origin is english.

Haha. If this will work out with our american friends? (Dum Spiro Spero =/= Dumm Spyro Sparrow)

It's fascinating how far some people are actually able to describe the album's music already. Why don't we all step back a little and focus on what we actually know.. and that isn't much, to be frank. @greatest_dane I'll never understand that. I am fine with samples, I don't need that whole other propaganda .. it's totally overdone, takes itself far too serious.. it's just ridiculous, and it's sad when people let themselves blend to that. I'd be interested how the responses would be if we only got a few samples.

Your grandmother just died? Listen to ARCHE and the pain will fade... I have to respect this band's management to produce the most cheesy promotions I've EVER seen. Btw the samples sound.. good. Very melodic I must say. And this time around I don't really think this is out of character.

Meh. I'll take a listen on youtube.. but I am sceptic. TO BE OR NOT TO BE was a total mess, TABOO was the worst thing this band ever released. hands down.
  17. Fish here. All horoscopes are miserable. Astrology is total bullshit
  18. DogManX

Wohoo. New food for the trash can.
  19. Easily Takayuki. That's some dirty badass

That's a cool list! I'd go with Gojira definitely. 1. Mayhem - Completion in Science of Agony (Part 1) 2. Phantasmagoria - fairy times memory 3. The Agonist - Thank You, Pain 4. Belphegor - Walpurgis Rites 5. Deathgaze - CHAOS 6. Lil Wayne - Brand New 7. ナイトメア - 極東乱心天国 (live Budokan 2009) 8. DMX - X gon' give it to ya 9. Vomit Remnants - Inherited Deformity 10. ナイトメア - Trauma Easily those two Nightmare songs, although the other songs are strong also. Trauma is just among the best they've created after MP, and 極東乱心天国 is jsut a very strong live performance.. great solos as always.

Black Swan is pretty heavy. Like it. 1. Animals as Leaders - New Eden 2. Ensiferum - Twilight Tavern 3. Deathgaze - Grace 4. Jack Slater - Dysthymia 5. Immortal - Tyrants 6. Intestine Baalism - Tyrant 7. Belphegor - Der Geistertreiber 8. Nile - Annihilation Of The Wicked 9. Nile - Ramses Bringer Of War 10. Dir en grey - 羅刹国 What a metal list. I'll choose Nile. Gotta know your drummers.

Doesn't it look more like a giant vegetable being torn off the ground? I don't get any squid vibe from it.. and it wouldn't be so original after Dipharent Sense

  25. Although I don't dig any of the albums, I'll have to go with music. It's way more various both in mood and composition. The thing about MUSIC was that the album essentially another girugämesh, just with a few more electronics added. Melancholic, aggressive and sad songs alike, I'd say that this album is amongst the most virtuous ones in giru's discography, and not only that, the compositions were good. No song sounded like the other, no melody felt overused. Monster lacks in basically everything MUSIC is good at. Compositions feel lazy and repetitive, the vocal tracks are so predictable it's incredible.. and there's way too much electronics and autotune for my taste. So.. my vote goes for MUSIC. ..And yeah, I also think Reason of Crying is amongst their best outputs, if not THE best. Favourite tracks on MUSIC: puzzle, イシュタル, asking why, お前に捧げる醜い声 Facourite tracks on MONSTER: MONSTER, VOLTAGE, Antlion Pit
