petition to change this misleading project name to MODERATELY FESTIVE ANIME OPENING POP PUNK KID Shame, cuz otherwise the backing lineup seemed very promising!
-
Cute cat poster, haha. Nice to see Nakamura Tatsuya and Tomokawa Kazuki there. :)
-
So nice of Madame Tussauds to let their wax figures out to breathe a bit.

Stranger Things S03 yeee boiii Just watched the first 4 episodes, so far so good (as always). I was afraid Erica would annoy the shit out of me, but she's actually hilarious, haha.

The samples are here. Hopefully they'll put this mini album up for normal distribution soon~

MALICE MIZER's vampire flick 薔薇の婚礼 ~真夜中に交わした約束~ (Bara no konrei ~Mayonaka ni kawashita yakusoku~) is where it's at!!! So good. I watched Oresama like 14 years ago too, but my brain blocked out the trauma, lol.

They sure must like that one song they played 3 times there, lol.

Fun song and cool video, that DAOKO one! Other than that, not really excited about any of this sadly. Still hoping Meev will go back one day to his dokusou or raw garage rock sound.
-
I'd team up with THE CRAZY SKB and go door-to-door beating up kusomen, Jay & Silent Bob style.

浅井健一 (Kenichi Asai) will release his new solo album "BLOOD SHIFT" on 2019/09/25, in two types: regular CD and limited CD+DVD. The full-length will come a year after his last album as 浅井健一 & THE INTERCHANGE KILLS, and 5 years after his last solo one. No further info yet, although it's safe to assume that songs will be included from his recent single and digital releases.

When the first sample started I was like "hooo boy" but by the end I kinda...enjoyed it? Their (lack of) production reminds me of Ru:natic or GAUZES. Actually sort of charming.
-
@Seimeisen Wow, that's quite a progress! 或いはアナーキー (Arui wa Anarchy) is their best 'recent-ish' album imo, make sure to give that one a try too! Back in the day I was really into 天使のリボルバー, but upon repeated listens over the years I can kinda see why you wouldn't dig it. Has a particular relentlessly cheesy vibe crossed with burnt-out dad rock at its worst, haha. Still, I can't help but enjoy most of it. You might not enjoy most of Memento Mori then either, I guess (it's kinda like 天使のリボルバー but beefed-up and more pop-rock).

@Bear Curious to hear your thoughts on Iggy Pop's performance, if you have the time. I'll be seeing him next month and not sure what to expect.

We're actually living in the fictional reality of the X Files series and it was actually Agent Scully investigating whether the new X JAPAN album really existed or just a hoax (plot twist: it's a government cover-up to draw attention away from UFO sightings). Mulder still wants to believe.

X files....... X... you get it.

Flyer giving me peak "random band with one ad in a 2006 FOOL'S MATE never to be heard from again" vibes.
-
The title track sounds the catchiest so far (rest are okay too). My body is ready.
-
It's just the two songs glued together.

Randomly found this old death metal band called Sepsism and their '95 demo and '98 album are just so perfectly produced and executed. The huge guitars, the relentless drum pounding, the tasty bass and barbaric vocals. The songs themselves... dare I say, catchy! TOTAL DEATH PERFECTION. That's all.

If anyone's curious, looks like one of the single's songs was already released under the おぎゃー name:
