Stake Land Pretty nice post-apocalyptic/vampire/survivor movie.

For those of you in the USA, fresh off Manson's twitter: edit: from the official Facebook:

Nice song and video! Yep, they seem to handle the Japanese stuff pretty well.

^ Sure, here's the gist of it: The album is finished (we already know that I guess xD). The music used in the Born Villain 6-minute short film is from the song Overneath the Path of Misery but it is really really different from the completed song on the album, so it's more like a prototype sample (Manson compares the two versions to a midget VS a giant, lol). The band will probably play 1 or 2 new songs at maximum on the Australian gigs. These concerts will concentrate mostly on Antichrist Superstar material (15th anniversary, you know). The new album will make people identify with Marilyn Manson like it was their first time listening to MM's music (?). Couldn't really understand this part, lol. He'll reveal more details about the album in 1-2 weeks, and he's currently working with "a lot of talented and unusual people" with lots of creativity involved (I couldn't fully understand this part or how this all comes together, or are the details connected to these people or what). He said that if Eat Me Drink Me was his "vampire album", then the new one could be his "zombie album" (he talked about some apocalyptic stuff and how people can become monsters, which somehow connects with the material on the new album). In the end he said he'll show a different kind of Marilyn Manson that people won't expect, etc. That's all of the basic info, more or less. The rest is the usual joke/sarcastic/random stuff.

^ Thanks for the link, was nice listening.

miss A Any miss A fans here? I really love them. For me they're one of those few groups who are constantly good, not many fillers, lots of nice songs. Anyway, they released 2 maxi-singles (or mini albums? 4 songs each) and a full-length album which had almost all the songs of the previous singles (minus one) - that release was really good IMO, very upbeat and catchy. Their next release will be a mini album called Touch, on 2012/02/20. Here's some music for those who don't know them, with the 1st teaser of the new release at the end: 8TeeJvcBdLA wTnwjlDhAY4 dBR0oEUIoGI DnEnN3oHQio Tracklist for the new mini (from Yesasia): 01. Touch 02. Lips 03. Rock N Rule 04. No Mercy 05. Over U 06. Touch (Newport mix)

I began listening to Einstürzende Neubauten. Thanks for the recommendation, Disposable, they're wonderful! Began listening to the albums in chronological order, now I'm on the one you mentioned (with the long German title, lol) - it's like the stuff of nightmares, I'm absolutely enjoying it! Looked around a bit on youtube, this is pretty epic too: 5BQcLBcZgm0 Also listened to more Laibach these days than I usually do. xD Their '80s stuff is still superb!

Kirisseil: cool look (and cool bass!)
-
Some of them sounds like an old-school/martial industrial band, lol. Pretty cool. I've read somewhere that it might have to do something with the increased solar activity in the last few weeks + the Northern Lights "interacting" (or something like that).

LOL saw the thread title and I thought I went back in time. But nope, I never came across a rip...
-
Awesome topic! I can sympathize with you, I'm really irritated by common modern-metal/rock with electronic stuff in it labeled as "industrial", lol. xD Interesting bands you linked there - I've mostly just heard their names till now, but not their music. Nice stuff, will be checking some of them out in more detail later. When it comes to industrial for me these are pretty flawless: KUxoughdYto G-fYAJCNEpE ...do Laibach count? XJ4A2MflNL8

Cloverfield Watched it for the 2nd time, still a pretty good movie.
-
Nice new single! The title track is good, second one is okayish (interesting sound though), and the rest are just pretty rockin' awesome! I like this band, they always bring something listenable/enjoyable, even if not memorable all the time. I'd give it something like a 7/10, good job.

Blair Witch 2: Book of Shadows Pretty mediocre/awful, lol.
-
Thanks for the vid! The video looks pretty nice, song's kinda boring - the last 1.5 minutes are pretty cool though.
-
I really hope it's true, lol.
-
I hope Chi's condition will gradually get better from now on... Also, ††† is pretty nice, yep! Not what I expected initially but still quite okay.
-
New song available for listening: Break Those Bones Whose Sinews Gave It Motion Pretty good, kinda hypnotic & the usual Meshuggah heaviness.
-
Hmmm better than nothing I guess.
-
Awesome! Looking forward to it!
-
^ Aww I got all excited there would be some update about the album. xD But still, awesome CM!

^ Everything was on Megaupload and after they tried re-uploading to MF all the stuff got taken down again. Seems like a windmill fight.

It was an awesome place. I have lots of good memories/tons of cool new music discoveries thanks to it, especially from my early years getting into J-rock. Sad to see it go. http://voodoovault.blogspot.com/2012/02/yup.html
