OMG what a tracklist, awesome! Can't wait. Also yup, all of them seem like new tracks.

^ City of the Living Dead and The Beyond are amazing! They have such "thick" atmosphere, it's great. I watched The Hangover 2 yesterday night. Well... I remember kinda enjoying the first one, so my curiosity drove me to this but I only smiled throughout the whole movie literally 3 times or so... so yeah. Not really recommended.

^ Incidentally, I also watched that movie a week or so ago with my friend. Very touching and funny piece, I really liked it too! Last film I saw was yesterday, finally watched Elysium. Of course it can't be compared to Blomkamp's previous work District 9 but it was an okay sci-fi/action movie. I'm a sucker for cyberpunk imagery so the run-down slightly post-apocalyptic gadgets and milieu won me over, heh.

Personally I found the album kind of underwhelming and boring if speaking for the general picture and/or truly new tracks. Stuff like "Rouge" or "End of the Dream" still rock, I can even get along with "Ran" (catchy chorus!) but out of the album songs only the starter "Anthem of Light" and the sexy-and-slow "Glowing" grabbed me so far. "Metamorphosis" ain't bad either but imo not at all as great as people make it out to be. The rest is just boring sappy slow stuff -- it's kinda irritating that even these tracks have some really cool parts in them (especially from Shinya and Sugizo), emphasis on parts... too few and little compared to the monstrous length of the songs themselves. All in all, I feel kind of ambiguous: on the one hand I am glad and thankful that one of my long-time favorite J-rock groups finally returned with a full album of songs, however not only does it not live up to their reputation, but taking it in itself (not counting who the band in question is) it is what it is... a mostly forgettable affair, half of which we've already heard before in singles or as promo tracks (that being the better half too). I'd give it an "at least it's better than SHINE/5" rating which equals to around

Almost forgot about the CBGB movie coming out but luckily got reminded, so watched it yesterday night. It was a nice little piece of punk-rock history, I liked Alan Rickman as the owner of the CBGB club (also totally didn't recognize Rupert Grint till only after the movie was finished, haha). I loved how the great (then-small) acts appeared in it, like Talking Heads or the Ramones. It wasn't anything totally mindblowing but if you like this sort of dramatized based-on-real-events music biography movie thingie it's worth a watch.
  7. lmao @ dat price. But yay, cool~

Ah, I vaguely remember watching this movie and that it was kinda okay-ish but nothing more... I don't think I even finished it. XD Might give it a second try in the future tho, when I'm more in the mood for it, cuz it seemed fun enough. Anyway, finally watched Ted over the weekend - loved it! You could really tell it's Seth MacFarlane, I guess that both has a good and bad aspect too... on one hand it has some really lol-worthy moments, on the other hand it gets pretty predictable fast. It was enjoyable overall, good for one watch (maybe a second one too).

Uhh why does it have to have so many slow/slowish songsss Anyway, still looking forward to it somewhat.
  12. Hmmm not bad! I'm only an occasional Behemoth listener (and one who enjoys their latter work a bit more than the old stuff), but this sounded decent enough.

Amer Weird stuff... or more like dreamy/surreal/visceral. Not sure if I liked it or not yet, but feeling better about it now than immediately when it was over. xD Might even re-watch it, the visuals (and some of the soundtrack) were awesome. You could tell the creators paid tribute to the likes of Argento (especially with the dramatic crazy-colored lighting), but created something almost totally different. Dunno if I'd recommend it but the directors are already set to release their next movie "L'étrange couleur des larmes de ton corps" which is supposed to be an old-school Italian style giallo in the spirit of French cinema or something (???).

    Heyy this sounds pretty decent~

He gets 1 point from me for taking me by surprise, thus making me laugh my ass off every time a song started. He gets 0.5 point for staying true to his vision all the way (however nauseating that vision was for me). He gets 1 point for the Shade cover, being the only track on here I almost enjoyed. He gets 0.5 point because it is actually music. 3/10 lol k bai

@Bear: Totally agreed! What a delightfully weird and creepy movie. Some days ago I watched the 1988 remake of The Blob. Haven't seen the original but heard this one was a bit more entertaining and over-the-top than the '50s one. Well, it was a fun ride that's for sure. I love '80s movies that utilize practical special effects like here, instead of CGI. Of course by today's standards it was all rather predictable (tho I didn't expect one of the characters to be killed off - not gonna give it away who it was). Anyway, good ol' mindless monster fun.

^ Nooo~, please continue! I love reading your reviews, plus we seem to share a liking to the horror/weird so yay. I'm just a bit swamped at the moment, not watching too many movies. But now that I'm here I must mention me and a few friends went to the cinema last night to watch the new Schwarzenegger/Stallone flick Escape Plan. It was pretty much what you would expect, lots of one-liner macho talk, muscles flexing, brawls and some gunfights, suspense... it was pretty okay. Good for a single big-screen experience I'd say.

Ahh this was that old-schoolish dude, I remember now! Cool sample. (reminds me of LUNA SEA)
