  1. I really see nothing wrong with liking the looks either. I mean it is called VISUAL KEI for a reason, right? :) I won't lie, if the bands looks are looking like they popped out of a gyaru-o host club I'm definitely not gonna waste my time when I know they're not being serious about it. That's really the reason I don't listen to most kpop or any of that neo VK shit :| sorry if I'm getting off topic, I just wanted to get my word in on Gizorz's comment ♡

  2. DEG all the way. If it wasn't for them (and syndrome) I would've never gotten into VK. I loved all of their works, including their latest singles/albums even though I wasn't AS interested in it than their early works. ♡ As for the gazette... I like them also. Everything up to DIM was amazing, but after that it just went downhill. Especially with TOXIC and DIVISION. As a Gazette fan I know that this is not their full potential and that they CAN do better. What's making me lose interest in them is simply just the fact that they want to appeal more to the mainstream crowd. I can understand them for wanting to be on the safe side though. I will give the gazette the benefit of the doubt and hope they will realize what talent they have, but until then DEG will always be on top ♡ and too the people claiming this is unfair...not necessarily...it's just a matter of opinion, it's not like we're doing this to bash how the gazette is ;)

  3. Almost all the bands listed here I feel the same way about • w • Especially NoGod... I love Danchou's singing but I only like a few songs while the others are just bleh ♡

Now one i disagree with is Diru... I have like a love/hate feeling towards them. Everything up to vulgar, I adored ♡ its just lately that I'm starting to lose interest in them... I still love them a lot though. They were one of the first bands besides Syndrome to get me into VK ♡

  4. I used to like the old Gazette (Machibouke one of my fave song by 'em)

But i understand your argument. I like these new neo vk bands, but sometimes i really miss bands like this:

    Qh40fDV4oJk

...And a lot of others, like Fiore, Clutch, Karen, and the kotekote bands like Metis Gretel T_T

What year was this band? They're really good.

They seem like they are from around 2003-2006

Oh gosh Karen is amazing ^ w ^

And I like that song . w . I can't really seem to get into these newer bands, but I'm always willing to try them out • w •

  6. Hmm this brings up something else and it would be the fact the meaning of VK has dissapeared completely... I'm seriously going to make a kotekote oldschool VK band and bring back Matina/Key Party/Anarchist themes •________ •

Considering how this happens with other music scenes(post punk and synthpop lo-fi bands showing up recently, for example) I'm still surprised some lo-fi kotekote kei scene hasn't started. I believe it would be a decent way to revive the scene: going back to the basics. No dance-metalcore-electronic-nu-metal stuff, just oldschool with shit recordings all the way.

    This all the way.

  8. I mainly miss the older vk (1989-1995), I love the matina/kp bands but I prefer the earlier vk.

ZI:KILL, LUNA SEA,BUCK-TICK, D'ERLANGER, Silver~rose, Kuroyume, Malice mizer, Gilles de rais to name a few...

Love ZI:KILL and Luna Sea :3 But still agree...I can't really get into new VK bands but matina or key party bands keep me interested in VK still~
