Ah ok, I see what you and bada9412 are referring to now Yeah, actually I really like using dissonant chord progression, jazz chords, etc. Math rock is kinda a big influence (hmm maybe I'll use that tag).
 
There's also that one line where the guitar plays 2 notes a half-step apart (I thought the out-of-phase frequencies could sound really cool on certain pedal effects... lol XD)
 
But I find your "less is more" advice really useful, thank you!! I'll work on it ^^

This really reminds me of the first few songs that I tried to make. And just like me, you REALLY need to pay attention to which melodies go together and which ones don't. It sounds good for a first attempt, but the rythm guitar just doesn't go with the lead guitar.
 
You do have creativity, I can hear that. So keep in mind what I told you, and keep making music

^ At first I liked only the latter half of the album, but later I realized how good the first half is too. cocklobin is my favorite band this year.
Dolly - トロイメライ
^ I can't help but find many parts of the album very touching, don't know how to explain, but they managed to get just the right sound this time to hit a weak spot I wasn't quite aware I have. Plus "Suisai Palette" remake is just beautiful (T.T)
DEAD END - Dream Demon Analyzer
^ I have so much respect for this band because of this album. It's one of the coolest things I have ever listened to.
DIMMDIVISION. - A Day in the PanoraMagic
^ I almost forgot that this was released in 2012. Listened to it to death.
LIPHLICH - LOST ICON'S PRICE
^ It's cool, as Liphlich typically is.
I'm surprised myself, but Creature Creature's "Phantoms" just doesn't make it to the list (maybe I just need to listen to it more...?). Also Plastic Tree's "Ink" (it's pretty good, but unlike "ammonite", it doesn't have as much momentum as an album). I really like and listened a lot to the god and death stars's "Tonight is the Night", but it's still not epic enough to be on the list. Ayabie's "Answer" is pretty fascinating, but I can't bring myself to listen to it again.

It seems like a lot of ppl in vk have migrated from ameblo to twitter ^^. I dunno what musical activities he's been up to, but the good news is he's still in contact with musicians who are active (...unlike some people, sigh...)
