If anyone likes club jazz/crossover, I highly recommend "Masa Sextet". It's a project with some members from Sleepwalker and the vocalist Bembe Segue. It's gooooooooooood.

2011 has been the best year...so far...in a really long time. Last year made me sad with the crappy gorillaz/jamiroquai, though. :/ Salyu x Salyu Masa Sextet So far...there have been others but I can't remember them -_____- But there's new NATSUMEN in September and stuff. :'D
  4. I'm probably going to the Montreal show(s) (How am I going to get in? Not sure...I'm not 18 yet, but I'll sneak in anyway). I'm super excited...in fact, I'm working on my passport next week. <3

I've never heard of thay band you posted but they're amazing in that video @Petrolz: I didn't like uki's vocal at first either but their style was...I dunno. It really got me.

Does anyone like PETROLZ? The band is lead by the current guitarist of Tokyo Jihen. I really enjoy this band, actually. dDWH6GzDfjc&feature=related

Hi, I'm Kinks! I joined this forum to talk about Japanese indie/to meet people who also like Japanese indie. I've been getting into it for the past year or so...well deeper into it, rather. My favorite artist(s) are Tokyo Jihen, Shiina Ringo, and Jamiroquai. I've been listening to Japanese music around 6 or 7 years now...I'm mostly educated on the jazz/crossover scene, though. (I love Jazz) In terms of indie, I really like Midori, NATSUMEN, Number Girl, Zazen Boys, 385, and quite a few others I guess. I think that would be all, then.
