  3. Karma’s Hat

    And now it begins...
  4. this is the "everyone is getting old except uruha and the drinking is catching up with them so time to hide their faces" look
  5. Karma’s Hat

i guess they screamed in 5 or 6 songs in a discography of close to a 100, and 12012 and sadie that are somehow related to the topic did some dss close late in their run, so case closed nega is a deg cover band
  6. Karma’s Hat

took on the streets before deg /w @WhirlingBlack
  7. Karma’s Hat

When they're on and firing on all cylinders, they're like the most talented vk band around and every member can play their ass off. I'm of the opinion that their concept is holding them back because it's those moments when they don't sound like something that would play in the wash room of a chinese restaurant when they're at their best. The last track from the most recent album was a great showing how they would sound without all that... you know... shit
  8. Karma’s Hat

The aesthetics from this era of vk are incredibly hideous and great at the same time. What's with the scarves? In another pv they have baggy pants and a guitar with a tribal symbol on it. The song rules tho Visual 'til I die
  9. Karma’s Hat

Calling them a deg knock-off because Jin started screaming 2/3rds into their career is a bit of a stretch. Not even the DSS prog aspirations of like one song the last album really cut it for such a label. Early Nega is quintessential UCP sounding stuff that was musically going along the same broad strokes vk was in general at that time. Deg doesn't have the trade mark on screams, growls and chugs when you can find that in vk from like 2000 onwards, or 2001 in this case since Ray was already ripping off Slipknot by that time while the boys in Dir en grey were still dressed in drag.

tbh without kisaki it isn't even mago, might as well be a cover band at that point. This band is so underrated I might go and resurrect the old Nega thread if there's one. Their long ballads from back in the day fuck
  11. Karma’s Hat

    FUCK OFF I WANNA DIE
  12. I'd go to Thailand with Kisaki and really hope no one checks our laptops during the security check-ups at the airport
  13. Karma’s Hat

o fuck. I miss them a lot actually

everyone in scandinavia knows each other first or second hand, there's like only three bars and one club here. also 90% of weeb rock stars never left their dad's and government's payroll if they didn't find someone else to scam and stuck around the house playing pokemon and eating chips. I can't with his "yo success hours woke up at 5am achieve your dreams m8" when literally anyone who works a morning shift has to get up at that time, or earlier. I think he's moderately talented provided that he actually wrote the two good Disreign songs himself, but woefully incapable of managing his affairs and I have no clue why that is. Maybe he should wake up at 3am instead or forgo sleep altogether and maybe then he'd managed to release a mini in half a decade, or at least a new episode of the podcast that sanjay and rajesh at the bot factory love listening to.

yikes less than 300 views in a day lmaaoooo fucking rip yohio I can't believe how this dude can't dedicate himself to any project he starts. He can obviously rip off gazette musically, sing and scream very well and design merch for himself and what have you. And despite all that, he doesn't commit to a consistent release schedule, he doesn't stick with any project he starts ( remember the girl band? remember awoken by silence? remember this oskar he was hyping on his label? actually remember his label in general? or his podcast for that matter ) By the time a nobody vk band like Jigsaw or something has put out release after release while struggling to stay alive in cut-your-hair-or-die no welfare Japan, this dude has only flexed to an ever-dwindling number of people on twitter in an attempt to become a motivational speaker or something. He's accomplished astoundingly little after the second solo album came out and it's been years. He's obviously from a rich family and definitely hasn't worked a day in his life because his malnourished manlet child-body looks like wouldn't survive a day in the cold, so why the fuck can't he get anything done when he has all the time in the world to sit on his ass and play video games? I loved second and third DISREIGN pvs so I'm just blown away how someone can be almost legit for one minute and a total flop for the remaining 59.
  16. I don't know but Apathy Human, Zouka, Ii kusuri to, Tokekomenai, Buriki, Hotaru, KIDS WAR even Dendrobium are heavy and came after dadaism 2 and that's just what I was able to come up with now. They're not as good ( except Zouka ) as Ame no Waltz lets say, but that's 'cause it wasn't written by Suicide Silence. Dadaism 1 overall isn't particularly heavy imo, not moreso than 4. A track like Morphine 2 already pioneers all the stupid clown party shit they did later.
  17. This still blows me away. I get the first two PVs stand out in their discography, but that's because aside from the chorus' the best shit in them is stolen from american bands. Other than that their output is thematically and musically uniform and consistent, imo. DADAism series explored different moods from the first to the most recent, so it's not like the last mini being lighter is them jumping the shark somehow.
  18. Karma’s Hat

This album rocks my socks off rn
  19. Karma’s Hat

Yesterday there was a thunder storm and now the birds are singing. I've opened the balcony door for fresh air. In February. What the fuck is this
  20. Karma’s Hat

Sort of off-topic but I'd love to know why Mejibray flopped. Massive upward trajectory with big venues for the DVDs and then suddenly sales and venue size goes off a cliff and the rest is history.
  21. Karma’s Hat

I wonder if there is singles fatigue in their fanbase over there or if this is considered a good move. In here they've definitely plateu'd during the last two
  22. Karma’s Hat

On my first listen I was hung up on feeling that something was missing and I just kind of assumed that it was the absence of tangible bass lines from the compositions. Now I've realised I think it's more that when they took out the chugs they just didn't manage to get the riffs to replace them. The songs like What's Up noodle around where chugs would've been before ( in Malformation, Rijin imagine the metal riffs gone and only the noodling remain ) and the "heaviest" tracks in here like Funny World are just really fucking bad, like Girugamesh MUSIC and NOW era distilled through Retsu's IG filter. In Rijin everything is still together and the flourishes are just that. This album has stuff that I like that would've been cool on songs in Chedoara, like For the Future is moody and 'aight.
