I've been looking for some Jazz music, so I'm loving this thread!

The jazziest thing I've listened to before is Merry, lol, so I'm glad to find some real Jazz to hunt down some downloads for.

Do any of these bands have US releases of their CDs?

don't count on it. Dir en grey usually releases their PVs (or have been doing so recently) after the song is released. They are very secretive about their music and very possessive about release dates.

I've been trying to upload files to various sites, (Youtube, Megaupload, Mediafire), but the upload suddenly stops and the sites say "an error occurred."

And downloads just freeze up.

Can someone please help me with this? I'd be really grateful.

I agree with dracolicious on this. Every now and then the opera thing is passable, but mostly it just makes me want to gouge my ears with chopsticks.

And the fandom, oh god, the vk/jrock fandom. So many hypocrites, I can't stand it. And no one seems to know how to concede a point in an argument. A good debate has to actually see the other side's point of view, give a little, and then come up with a relevant rebuke as to why one's side is still "correct."

Honestly though, I'm becoming more convinced that it's not a jrock or a fandom thing, but a people in general thing.

As for exact band/musician hate:

Yoshiki is getting on my nerves. I like some of his piano playing and songs just fine, but his "B'AWWW, WE ALL MISS HIDE" attitude is just pissing me off.

I can't stand Nightmare's vocalist; the music is alright, but the vocals are so bland.

She's not Japanese, but I hate Lady Gaga as well. Her music doesn't sound that special to me.

I used to stupidly believe that anything that wasn't Classic Rock was crap. I was also under the impression that a song had to have guitar solos to be good.

I hated metal and pop, but for some reason I was instantly fascinated with Deg's Shokubeni and I have since then become more open to really heavy music and music with screams and growls in it.

As for pop, Michael Jackson really irritated me at first, but since my MJ-obsessed sister started putting his songs on more often, I've gotten really fond of him.

Now a lot of Classic Rock songs get on my nerves.

Mostly, I just start with songs that have various sounds from bands I like: Dir en grey, Plastic Tree, Merry, Unsraw, D'espairsray, Versailles, Gazette, Rie fu, etc.

Out of all those bands, there's likely to be something they'll like.

Rie fu's English is excellent.

Again, it sounds like I've heard it before. Unless the rest of the song sounds entirely different, it seems that any band could put this out and I wouldn't know the difference.

Their next album will probably be pretty uninspired.

I'd love to use such a service to try out new artists/songs. But I don't feel like I "have" the music until I can hold a legal, physical copy in my hands, (the same goes for books and movies). Downloads, legal or illegal, and streaming are just for until I get enough money to buy the actual CD release.

Firefox says that I have version 3.6.10 installed, and Adobe says that I have version 10.1 installed. But I don't know if Flash really is installed correctly because I tried it twice but after I'd click the Agree to Terms button, the installer said that it could not install because the following conflicting applications were open: Mozilla Firefox and that it would automatically continue installation when Firefox was closed, but it never did continue. The second time I tried it I even closed Firefox before clicking the Agree button, and it still did the same thing. When I went to the Flash site it said it was installed, but Hotmail and Youtube still aren't functioning properly. :/

Well, I took Anomie's advice and installed Firefox. It's working great for downloads, but hotmail and youtube keep telling me that I need to upgrade to a modern browser such as Firefox and refuse to function properly. So I now can't type any e-mails and Internet Explorer won't even open up for me to do that! D:

Do I need to do something else for hotmail to recognize it or something? Because Firefox seems better in pretty much every other way.
