*'狂詩曲', 'kyoushikyoku'  actually means 'rhapsody' in English, but here it's written as '狂死曲' with the kanji reading 'mad-death-song' or 'Madeth song'.
That's why I decided to translate it as 'mad-death-rhapsody' to keep both meanings.

Please note that while the romaji (=sung version) always differs a little from the original in Hisuis lyrics, they do so especially in this one.
The lyrics are in past tense but a big part of them is sung in present tense or no tense at all, many words are simply omitted.
The two middle parts (in quotation marks) are not printed in the booklet, but taken from the 白昼夢の惨劇 live limited single's case. (One version had the lyrics, the other one the middle parts)

Some time ago I translated all of Madeth gray'lls lyrics to German and reading through those translations again I thought that their stories are so cool I should do it once more, this time in English, and share them with everyone who might be interested. orz
This time I also want to include all the small poems and stories printed on booklets and CDs that aren't directly related to a song and arrange everything in a way to make the tragedy a little more coherent because all the songs are loosely connected.
 
I'll post every song individually and add a list with the links here to keep things tidy. ;D
The structure is a somewhat chronical order, but if there are multiple versions I'll mostly choose the newer ones, because Hisuis writing improved quite a lot over time. There will propably be 6 acts, even though I know a classical drama should only have 5...

I'd very much appreciate any help finding mistakes. D; Neither English nor Japanese is my native language and the lyrics are so bizarre it's not always easy. Please note that in some songs the imagery and scenes described are very graphic.
 
Hisui mentioned in Interviews that he started to write grotesque and apocalyptic lyrics after surviving the great Kobe earthquake that killed 6434 people in his hometown, including his girlfriend.

Not sure if I should post this to minor news thread, anyways... 
 
Z is asking people to send him a mention via twitter saying where are you from and that you want Art Cube to tour your continent. 
He specifically says Europe but I think it is ok to other continents do it too. 
 
Not sure if this is the right time to this, Art Cube popularity seems to have dropped to ground on the last two years but who knows?

Yukiya is side-eyeing

Early days of Hyde for me, his voice was so powerful and deep. I still remember the first time I heard Flower and fell in love with L'arc~en~Ciel several years ago. 

I'm also a big fan of Seiji (Art Cube, Brain Hacker, AMADEUS, AFTER IMAGE) not for his voice, but for his ideias and concepts. Same with SHUN from Deshabillz. 

So, this is my band, L'ucibel. 
We started about five months ago and since then we've been rehearsing and writting songs, we just had our first live and this is a video of a original song of ours:

Song is called "死亡暗黒仮面劇場" (shibou ankoku kamen gekijou) and for this one we had MALICE MIZER and Deshabillz influences, but you may also feel some jazz fusion vibes on it. xD

I don't know if we can be called a visual kei band *lol* we don't really care for the looks but I think our songs are very close to what bands used to do at the 90's, but we have a lot of other influences and we want to use then at our songs.
Our main goal is to have some fun playing the kind of song we like ^^

Kalm (ex-Velvet Eden) is releasing a new single with his solo project called "choose/palm" through bandcamp on September 16.

It sounds like a cheap version of a Castlevania soundtrack. 
I'm still waiting for the day these guys are going to get tired of the same classical progressions, they always use the same stuff for everything. >_>

The song is not bad but I wasnt expecting this much of Versailles on it.
 

I think you guys are not understanding what happened on the Jupiter thread.
No one is complaining about what kind of music he is doing, but Kamijo DONT HAVE vocal abilities for heavy metal, he tries, he tries hard, and fail hard too, sounding weird... he just don't have a strong voice for that. 

Kamijo have done some good heavy metal-ish songs even in Lareine, kaze no yuwaku has a great heavy metal composition but it end up sounding better because Kamijo wasnt trying to be a new Fabio Lione, or Bruce Dickinson.  

 

It is a great band, they have the "Cool" and "Popular" status on the internets because it was impossible to find their music and information some years ago, even in soulseek or utatane. 
So, there was a lot of people desperately looking for their songs and they bacame... popular-ish. 

It is the same with Feria or bands like Lanus Dune, etc.

I think you need to meet some power/melodic metal bands, Versailles never were different from any of them, except for the bad vocals and the romanticism thing. 

it is announced at 9GOATS BLACK OUT one-man live "Silence" at Akasaka BLITZ at 2013/02/09 that their best album and LAST LIVE DVD will be released, although details have not yet been announced
