    Glad to hear it.

Here's a link to one of their classics:

Welcome! Have you heard of Aikayru? It’s an old band of TERU from Versailles/Jupiter. Also, if you like BABYMETAl, you might like COALTAR OF THE DEEPERS; NARASAKI of COTD has composed some BABYMETAL songs. “Catch me if you can” is one of them, I think

You also might want to check out goatbed sometime. Same vocalist but a more electronic sound.

I always admire and respect people who get this much use out of their phones. I keep my computers as long as possible, but I tend to switch my phone out with a newer model every 2-3 years because I want something new or need more storage. The older model always goes to my mom or girlfriend, though.

I have an iPhone 8 Plus 256GB. I like iOS and I use a lot of Apple things in general so it helps that the iPhone works well with them. I don’t like or respect Google as a company so I’m pretty averse to their products. (Not that Apple is perfect.) I had an Android phone briefly many years ago but I just wasn’t into it and quickly replaced it with an iPhone. There are a lot of iOS apps I use now for school/writing and music production that are not available on other platforms, so I’m kind of locked in whether I like it or not. I’ve had this phone since it came out over 2 years ago. I’d like to keep it for at least 3. My only real problem with it is that it’s a bit large and heavy which sometimes makes it feel unwieldy. I also have an iPad, so I probably should have just gotten the smaller-sized iPhone 8. Oh well.

I really only play on Switch these days. I don't have as much time for video games
  8. Plant

Yeah, they're all good. 第6 was the first one I got into but I think 第7 may be more accessible.
  9. Plant

Yeah their discography is huge. I think 第7実験室 is a good starting point personally.
  10. Plant

Seconded. And their name is in reference to a silent horror film from the 1920s, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari!

Yeah, that's a fair assessment of Midsommar. It was very bright and did some interesting things with daylight shots whereas Hereditary was quite dark and worked more with nighttime shots. The latter was superior in my opinion as well. But, I enjoyed both. Actually, the brightness in Midsommar stood out to me as pretty unique because it's rare for a horror movie to have so much daylight.

Hey!! I was told you were around. I’ll send you a message!
  13. Plant

Underwater was pretty good - it's nothing revolutionary or groundbreaking, but it's definitely a lot of fun. I really liked Hereditary too! If you haven't seen Midsommar yet, you should check that out. Same director.

    Thanks for the welcome!

Welcome! I too have a (tentative) degree in writing which may or may not prove to be of any use other than to dry one’s tears while disparaging. I also like horror! I used to be into Nightmare on Elm Street as a kid but I haven’t watched any of them in a long time. I remember the remake from some years back not being any good... Have you seen Underwater?
  16. Plant

    A burrito.
  17. Plant

Yes, guitar and the computer. Do you like to be alone?
  18. Yep. They still do lives every so often but release music rarely. The last couple releases have been on cassette, and only sold at lives. Hopefully they do mail orders on this one eventually.

It's always a bit of a surprise to see someone saying pinokiwo is their favorite anything. Which songs do you like best?
  20. 新宿ゲバルト (shinjuku gewalt) released a new single titled 劇場都市 (gekijou toshi) at their last one-man live on 2020/01/31, which took place at KOENJI HIGH. The release sold for 1500円, and the tracklist is as follows: 1. EC改 2. 表現者たち 3. 白ビル It’s available in three colors (pictured below). Fans will likely have the opportunity to pick up a copy at their next live on 03/30 at 新宿LOFT, which is a two-man show with GOATBED. Exciting.

Hi everyone, Some of you may have known me as tachikomatic on Last.FM long ago. I used to help run jsalad, which was something like a rival forum to Monochrome Heaven for a while back when it was Tainted World. A lot of what I listen to these days is Japanese new wave/electronic music from the 80s like YMO, Togawa Jun, and P-MODEL + associated acts. But, I do love vk (especially heavier stuff like Aikaryu and vellaDonna), and angura kei. The first few Japanese bands I really got into as a teenager were Kagrra, cali≠gari, and metronome (メトロノーム). Here are some notable faves: shinjuku gewalt / 新宿ゲバルト pinokiwo / ピノキヲ COSMO-SHIKI dagashikashi / 駄菓子菓子 FLOPPY himitsu kessha kodomo A / 秘密結社コドモA sandwich de 120 pun? Anyway, my tastes are mostly stuck in the past. I’ve been apart from the community for some time and I’d like to get back into things. I hope that I’m able to provide a valued presence here. Thank you for reading.

Nice Toda avatar. Did you draw it?

I’m playing Pokémon Sword, trying to complete the Pokédex (about 50 left), and breeding for shinies. Hopefully this keeps me busy until Animal Crossing: New Horizons comes out. Very excited for that.

This is the last movie I saw too. I agree that the film played it safe, and I also wished there was more to it. It recycled the basic road trip plot we’ve seen in so many films. I actually kind of thought Jim Carrey was the best part because it felt like a return to form for him. But then, I always liked Ace Ventura and such. The opening and ending scenes were probably the best parts. I just wish it didn’t take place on Earth, in the “real world.” For a video game adaptation, though, it wasn’t bad.
