I like that they're splitting themselves into light and dark with their set lists and release concepts. Just kind of hope they aren't ending soon since they were one of my first 5 vkei bands.

They have a demo version....of a song they released on a 'demo tape?' That was definitely with their 2nd vocalist though.

Does this mean their single is going to be cancelled? Not surprised if that is a "yes."

Hopefully they're mostly new songs. Kind of wish it had a new Penicillin song on it instead of Chisato's solo stuff, but it's better than nothing.

Hmmm...I wonder what kind of drama went down.

It might be because they only sound as such because they are purposely trying to sound low budget and raw with the same sort of earmarks used in 1999, where as when this kind of music was en vogue, that was just how everything was done so it sounded a lot more natural. I appreciate their efforts in making throw back music, but I've never really considered them to be a replacement for bands actually from that time period.

For a small label, they've been getting their web design shit together really well lately. Has anyone seen the DAS:VASSER history site? It's beautiful! ....well, except for the part where they literally copied and pasted their last.fm bio from the US site and added it as the "translation" of their Japanese history...BUT OTHER THAN THAT, they've been doing a great job at making legible and sensible sites. I just hope they stick to maintaining it. Nothing like looking at a band site that hasn't been updated since 2007 (judging you, The Piass and UCP english site).

This best album has only one song on there that I consider to be a 'best of,' being "Feeling Universe." Everything else is just pretty lame in my opinion. Oh well-- I'm sure at one point there will be a complete discography collection album.

I actually like the rose cover. The cover with them on it is kind of silly looking. Now I'm tempted to just photoshop random VKei artist in places and pretend it is an album cover.

Freezing rain, Days of Regret, 深蒼, ヒスリック...and two completely new songs? These guys have a lot of material to work with! I hope they release more soon and keep going after UCP closes.

Not only was I surprised that I knew 50, but I actually had to weed some out! A lot of my favorite releases come from bands who don't even stick around long enough to put out a full album, so sticking to full lengths was a bit of a challenge at first.

Jenga is fun if you flick the blocks out of the tower instead of methodically removing them. It freaks so many people out!

Has Kiwamu dropped the faux goth thing and moved on to Angura?

Also, I love how art-kei is becoming a thing now.
