  1. The Suicide Circus came out to be really cool. I agree with Jigsaw9 the chorus isn't that great but the rest of the song is killer.

    EDIT:

at 1:03-1:18 listen to that part. http://youtu.be/z3TEE3vdP7o?t=1m2s

    .

Thanks for the youtube. Didn't feel like downloading it. It's not bad at all. There are some really neat parts to it but yea the chorus is kinda meh and the song drags on a little much without adding anything interesting to warrant it (the song is top heavy everything interesting happens within 2:30 imo) but since after listening to the samples I wasn't expecting much I was pleasantly surprised (although It did seem to be the most promising of the samey electro-type samples so we'll see if the others do the same). As an aside, I'm slightly amused that around 38s it sounds like he says "you can work at burger king" ~

  2. RUTHLESS DEED sounds like it could've been on DIM though.

I thought the same and to be honest after listening to all of the samples it's the only one I'm really interested in hearing, which is funny since I wasn't a huge fan of Dim (save Nakigahara and 13stairs...though it was a huge step up from SR). But Gazette generally are VERY hit or miss for me anyway so I'm not really surprised.

  3. Didn't check all of them as I was trying to hold out but the curiosity killed me and scoped a few.

hnnnngggg The Kiddie and Cascade previews are living up to the lulz and fun I expect from this

Checked Aoi and Sadie's previews just because I like the original songs...Just no on both though the former had me wanting to rage quit a hell of a lot more and I guess the latter's preview wasn't as terribad as I was expecting, kinda lulzy.

  4. ^ how many seeds were there? I hope not gonna take 2 years 2 days like the last time i tried to download some Chinese movie :llama:
haha Kir-san did I spark this discussion? Yea... no the trailer looks fine but trust me it's terribad. Couldn't even make it past 30someodd minutes without rage quitting. Gackt was the least horrible thing about it though and that's coming from an anti so I guess that's saying something but really I understood why they kept pushing back it's release. Also Gackt didn't speak much (most of the actors didn't it was mostly narration up until that point) and at least half of what he spoke in those 30mins was Japanese but the english bits weren't bad. I can send you a link to it if you want to watch, I just dare you too make it through the whole thing >:D

EDIT: It looks pretty though, I'll give it that. :) I'm thinking they probably focused so much on stylizing the movie (the whole idea of bunraku as film and all that) that they left everything else to hang by the waist side.

    yes. you do~ :D

I think would be interesting to be brought on a place that may give a bigger response

and thoughts about it. Hope that's fine with you :P

Now this is just like, funny sensation personally.

like, i am curious but also hesitating, so dilemma-tic xD

Though i hope not as bad as Dragon Ball movie.

LOL, oh dear god no, it's not Dragon Ball movie bad. It just gets lame really quickly but nowhere near the atrocity that was Dragon Ball >.

  6. Shou helped with Zankyou Whiteout iirc but he didn't outright compose it.

Also if iirc the preview sounded kinda like a rock ballad so yes. The preview was during the chorus (i assume) so there was action going on and I can't be sure but yea it sounded like the song was in that kind of direction.

EDIT: so I was reading around some professional live reports and yes it's been confirmed that it will be a ballad.

    そして終演後に、2011年ラストシングル「虹の雪」を12月21日にリリースする事を発表。これはAlice Nineにとって初のバラードシングルであり、初のVo.将の作詞作曲楽曲になっている。

Basically: And after the show it was announced that the last single of 2011 will be released on 12/21, "niji no yuki". This is Alice Nine's first Ballad single and Shou's first being a songwriter.

  7. yup, it was announced at today's live along with a Winter tour (White period III + Black Period I -the latter being Fanclub only. Each date being back to back).

Anyhoo, I kyaaaa'd when the single news came up (first because the way it played on screen at first I thought the single would be called Lyric :3 but then of course after that moment of joy was dashed and it became clear, it was because mah main man shou is behind the wheel this time). Ahhh they also played a preview of the song and it sounded up to snuff, actually a bit more promising than either HoG or Blue Flame; so I'm not too worried tbh.

  8. As big a fan of A9 as I am, I've always maintained I don't expect much from their A-sides. At most as long as the song is pretty catchy and listenable I won't be too upset, since in my experience their A-sides outshining their b-sides tend to be anomalies (ie. Rainbows or Tsubasa). Heart of Gold isn't any different and neither was Blue Flame, but HoG in contrast to Blue Flame was for me really catchy and sunny, so it stuck with me immediately while the latter I had to dissect and listen to a few more times before it really got to me. Technically I don't think it's a better song (It's lacking some of the skill set and finer touches that was present in BF) but I think it's a much more effective A-side.

Ray is really good. I've been busy so I hadn't been "keeping up" with them so much but I remembered hearing that this was a Tora song. So of course I came in expecting a certain heaviness to the sound and instead it surprised me in how mellow it was, I would've pegged it for Saga...even hiroto first. At anyrate, it's a well put together song and I rather enjoy it. Some of the guitar parts remind me of gin no tsuki... in the chorus giving it that kind of dancey feel but the songs are different beasts in the overall sound and tone. I love shou's voice in this song too, especially in the beginning, I dunno he just sounds really good. I don't think it'll become "like my favorite song ever omg" but I really like it and it's my favorite of the single.

Onto track 3: Whereas really came off as almost a different song altogether, Haikara really comes off more like Haikara 2011 version. Which isn't bad at all, in fact the different titling of the 2 remakes clues one in on that imo, but by the same token it doesn't have the holy shiet this is soo killer vibe to it that had when first hearing it. Still it's a pretty sweet remake. The whole breakdown/solo section is so much win and totally makes the song for me. Listening to it and then the old one, the progress the band has made is pretty glaring imo, much more developed. I've never been a huge fan of the vocal styling of the song and they haven't really been tweeked so I'm still not. Actually I will go as far as to say this is one case where I actually think Shou's rough around the edges early vocals actually did a bit more justice, the cleanness of his current vocals kinda don't mesh as well with the way the song is sung. Still like I said it's a pretty sweet update on what's one of their "classics".

Yup, pretty good single overall. I think it's pretty much on par with Blue Flame ( gives BF the slight edge)) solid but not drop-dead amazing. Still, as long as they keep up a certain amount of quality I think my curiosity will still be peaked come album time.

  9. Yea, my family had to mandatory evacuate since we're in Zone A, I think they're going to visit some cousins in the Poconos for the weekend to avoid it. Just hoping they and all my friends stay safe. Like Zess said we aren't really prepared for mother nature's wrath in the NYC, so I'm just hoping that they're all using they brains they were given.

  10. lol so apparently ...I've been dj-ing since early morning long after I'd already closed the window. I come back on to see what's up and I've already occupied a Dj seat spinning jams mostly by my lonesome. I'm guessing this is some kind of epic proxy fail. Sorry if you came in during this D:

BTW it also seems I'm unable to take myself off the Dj stand for some reason. If anybody would be so kind as to kick me D:
