    cool, turn the guitar up!

the problem with most bands with full time keyboardists is that they dont know when to shut up and not play! I think Dark Tranquillity is the only band right now that the keyboardist dosen't have the ego to put in a solo in every song or doubling the backing all the time! its so saturated and annoying when they do that nonstop! You havent been listening to Bodom long have you? I dont want to be an elitist here, but most fans who have been around since bodoms early days have pretty much resigned to the fact that they are going downhill. And there is a whole new legion of 14 year olds who worship Alexi and think Are you dead yet is their best album. I cant find a single song on that album that interests me.

great stuff, existance proof is a great song
  5. Yurameki

Im not a fan of their heavier stuff... but Calm Envy is one of my favorite songs ever.
  6. Yurameki

they were pretty good. Revolution is my name, cowboys from hell, psycho holiday, hollow, floods, the sleep are my fav songs.

great PVs they are... i was surprised at the Bara one, they look a lot ...fresher and cleaner as opposed to their gothic look.
  8. Yurameki

they played live here in NZ in my city last night.... and i didnt go

Roope blows away Herman and Sam, and Alexi is way better than Sam. If you love these guys, check out Norther. Identical sound but slightly less technical and less wankery in keys and solos. as for CoB, i love the first 3 albums. Hatebreeder is my fav. Hate crew deathroll had some moments (lil bloodred ridin hood) Are you dead yet was, I'm afraid to say, HORRIBLE. what the hell happened.
  10. Yurameki

    yes, yes, yes!!!!! Amazing band!!!!!!

fav album is Static Age. dont like the non-Danzig stuff. If you like Misfits then check out Glenn Danzig's other project, Samhain. Its more punkish than Danzig but more aggressive than The misfits.

I think they're pretty bad as a metalcore band, but as a thrash band they are average I guess.... not even really thrash in the sense of Testament, Megadeth, etc... i think Trivium lack something that all the classic thrash bands had. Maybe its because they imitate too much and don't put something original in.

    new album!!!!!
  14. Yurameki

exactly i cant stand how people think DF is so original and that Herman Li is the reincarnation of god on guitar. especially all the guitar magazines remember that betcha cant play this fiasco? that vid single-handedly made a lot of people lose respect for herman and sam as guitarists
  15. Yurameki

they were damn good in the early stages....
  16. Yurameki

Rose of Sharyn is the only decent song i've heard from them... rest sound likes At the Gates or Carcass guitar ripoffs with melodic singing in the choruses for more commercial appeal...
  17. Yurameki

    genius
  18. Yurameki

love san and gou. fantastic vocals and guitars.
  19. Yurameki

oh yeah i love his slap guitar acoustic stuff.
  20. Yurameki

    mediocre, way overhyped band.
  21. Yurameki

good band, have The Scattering of Ashes. Great vocals. guitar riffs are great, horrid soloing (other than in Surrounded by Night), great drumming yet the drums sound awful. I like them for the occational listen. Fav songs are Timeless Winter and Surrounded by Night.
  22. Yurameki

    thunderhorse!
  23. Yurameki

havent heard them yet, but I'm into the gothenburg sound- Dark Tranquillity, At the Gates etc...
  24. Yurameki

great band.... in the studio. Nowhere near the best power metal band though. And Inhuman Rampage was disappointing, only Through the fire and the flames holds my interest. Herman Li is so overrated though.
