Way more than my first time going to AREA and there were only like 5 other people there. Granted, that was the same day as Versailles' last live, so I guess VK fans were busy... I was just being an indiefag and going to the no1curr band's live.
Mine was a weird one... 四ツ谷 SOUND CREEK Doppo. Some tiny little bar that just happened to be where a Jikkendai Marmot two-man was taking place the day after I got there. It was a super chill venue with a couple of tables and maybe housed like 20-30 people max.
Chiptune-kei has been a thing for a while :v Go check out codomo A, kibouya honpo, sandwich de 120pun?, pinokiwo(lol no), DENTAKU, proxyon etc etc. Or for hardlaffs you can check out kurono usagi :'3
Really want to stan them after watching their great NYE performance, but all these live-limited releases are a bummer. Someone wake me up when they stop being losers.
Also, the RH crew will be going :v We won't be having a vendor booth, unfortunately, because getting a booth at A-KON is ridic and there's a multiple-year waiting list.
Pentagon (strangely referred to as Pentagon Japan in the video and site), has announced today that they will be joining the guest lineup for A-KON 28, which will take place June 8th through the 11th at the Fort Worth Convention Center in Fort Worth, TX.
