Does Wataru choking a woman count?

Hi! I kinda went away, and now I'm kinda back
-
For VK, I've interacted with Masayoshi (TOKYO HEROES dr) to buy some CDs and DVDs. I had to convince him that I was not making it up by sending a picture of my own Tokyo Heroes CDs, but after that he was a cool dude. Most other TOKYO HEROES members have replied to a tweet of mine. And I once got a comment from Nachi/Chifu (eight/The Piass), but he didn't say much.
-
Not sure about the music yet, but I did realize I had missed Masakazu's vocals. That name though... It's hard to think of a worse name than M, but these guys did it.

Maybe they'll play some Acmahead songs, since they were both in that band?
-
Tokyo Heroes - Easily my favourite "recent" band. Even though their work after Iwan left wasn't as good, I stil enjoyed it. eight - With Kyotaro. illational was great, and the few songs they released after that were pretty good too. Werkmare - I love NeoCrimes and the re-recorded songs, so I keep wondering what they would've sounded like after that. Rentrer en Soi - They were still going strong, so yeah. And to make up for how disappointing Satsuki solo is. I really want to agree with D'espairsRay, but their post-Mirror stuff was pretty mediocre. I don't think a comeback would do them any good.

Cool thread, and I definitely have to agree with Radwimps and Dir en grey(especially Red Em). Here's my picks. eight - illational of the people Eight had some killer riffs, and they picked one of the best to open the album with. It gets even better when the slap bass enters. Apart from the intro riff, this song is one big combination of awesome riffs, and they work so well. girugamesh - Gokusou Girugamesh's riffage isn't spectacular, but they still have some cool stuff going on. Back in 2005/2006 I was in love with the opening riff of this song, and it's still good. MaveRick (Eat You Alive) - Want to be connected The only album this band released under the name MaveRick had some really cool riffs, and I just love the harsh guitar tone. This first proper riff on the album is just so damn powerful. Byee the Round - Rockstar I just melt when I hear that opening lead riff. God, so good.

Man, fuck those godawful synths. They drown everything else, while there's some genuinely cool riffs underneath. Not bad, but could be so much more.

Yessss

I might have to check it out, some of my fave songs on there.
-
Tokyo Heroes' drummer (Masayoshi) also did some enka songs. But yea, you don't see it often.

The Trend Killer, hands down.

Funny thing is that back in Core the Child, his cleans were actually pretty good. His harsh vocals sucked balls though. At the end of CTC and the beginning of Unsraw, his harsh vocals improved dramatically, but his cleans just got worse and worse during his time in Unsraw. I just heard this clip and yea, it's not very good, sadly.

Still not feeling it. Mostly sounds like any generic American metalcore-poppunk band. The riffs have been done many times before and the drums are so cheesy. The melodic break is decent at least, but not nearly enough to redeem the song. I keep hoping for something as awesome as Mind of the Sun, but I should accept that that's never going to happen.
-
Well that made it obvious that PSC turned this band into the giant heap of turd that it was. I liked Givuss, and I liked A9's early work, but man the stuff they released the last few years was horrible. This new song shows that they can write songs, and definitely can play their instruments (that bass was pretty awesome yo). I'm intrigued. It's not stellar or amazing, but it's heaps better than their previous stuff. As for Diawolf, not bad. Some cool riffs and the vocals are good, but that shitty pronunciation... meh. Also, no way in hell did Shou write those lyrics by himself, haha. Oh, and I also hope they can get this crowdfunding thing going. Respect for their stance on (their) music and the way VK labels whore out musicians.

It s not like suddenly amber gris has to be wiped from history lol?
-
Fookin hell why can't she ever stay with a band? She's been in so many good bands but tends to leave all of them so soon...
-
I might actually check this out when it's released. Never thought I'd say that about a SuG album, haha. But man, Missing was actually a really good song and this new song is pretty good as well, it's well composed and their drummer has improved so damn much, he's definitely the highlight of this band.

There is more though. Sinner is a direct copy of the song The War is Over, I forget by which band though. And Yami ni Ame(you know, the really old 'Gaze song) is definitely inspired by a Berry song, Shower Room Cinema. Berry was Naoki and Hazuki(lynch)'s old band, and I think Naoto and Ai also did session stuff for Berry.
