Aoi also composed "Maggots" which is by far THE WORST Gazette song ever (and much more disjointed than SEX ADDIKSHOONN-song) Just a reminder
  2. It's like you took the main guys out of some shoujo anime and gave them instruments with picopop BGM lol. (well to be honest, those trailers really reminded me of some typical shoujo settings)

The idea behind Gazette's "Stacked Rubbish" as a title is kinda weird. Was that meant to be self-insulting in a joke-like manner or what the heck was Ruki thinking? Considering "Nil" had a worthy concept as a title - a la "a new start"

I hope you didn't forget that both Chizuru and Dim Scene were made in drop B and are basically BALLADS as well (no matter what kind of riffage is used) Either way, the whole single was in fact bland - and at the same time, totally expectation-killing experience. Fadeless and Quiet have that zzzzzz-ing aura in the background while FORBIDDEN BEAVER makes me want to forget their stupidest attempt at being VAMPS-like with cheesy hard rock structures and SEX ADDICTION PUSSY-vox. 4/10, never again. ps. Just because you know how to make riffs out of Hetfield's Load/Reload-book (the riff in fact sounds like Metallica's Fuel, too. WTF), doesn't mean you have achieved the level of "divine" riff-making. And let's get it straight - I haven't even heard any riffs worth mesmerizing in Gazette's post-Tokyo Dome repertoire. It's a good BGM and good "boredom jam" for me but don't you hate it too whenever you listen to anything TOXIC/DIVISION-related, you start to hum along Division/NIL songs instead? I want something groundbreaking, which isn't really a feat to be expected from this band "anymore", I suppose. pss. I want something non-Luna Sea-ish this time - yes Ruki, I know, YOU WORSHIP LUNA SEA'S WRITING AND EVERYTHING but let yourself delve into the art of being "original", thank you.

For me personally it sounds more like a NIL song (as jduv mentioned, Nausea & Shudder) with less oomph. I hope other songs off BEAUTIFUL DEFORMITY will offer something more "exciting". edit: also, one of the most boring main riffs in Gazette's rock territory, just wow. (compared to such simple riffs as in RED for eg.)

Re-editing and necroing the thread at the same time with my favorites so far: SID - Koi ni Oichite & Summer Lover Kyary Pamyu Pamyu - Nanda Collection Daft Punk - RAM Towa Tei - Lucky Soil & "Pimp" Sessions - Circles DEG - The Unraveling Negoto - 5 Perfume - Magic of Love

Grazioso reminds me of MM's Gekka no Yasoukyoku. Or at least the way instrumentals go are somewhat reminiscent.

It's sort of a tribute to Nirvana's "I Hate Myself and I Want to Die" -song (the title, that is, NOT the song) also, in terms of album titles/song titles/dvd titles The Gazette - 大日本異端芸者的脳味噌逆回転絶叫音源集 (seriously, babel fish that shit) Dir en grey - The Rose Trims again (a mistranslated part of "Stuck Man" line, btw) Kuroyume - Headache and Dub Reel Inch (the title makes no sense at all) 12012 - Not Obtain+1 (stupid) Kagerou - XII Dizzy (????) Buck-Tick -相変わらずの 「アレ」のカタマリがのさばる反吐の底の吹き溜まり (weird as fuck- title) Luna Sea - Sweetest Coma Again (???) also, Gekijou might still have a link to those weird-as-fuck vk band names...

FADELESS still sounds like it could have been a Luna Sea song (serious statement here, guys) QUIET sounds okay FORBIDDEN BEAVER is still somewhat reminiscent to Vamps' "Love Addict"-ish flicks and Gazette's earlier attempt on glam rock in "Break Me" Nothing's changed so far, hehe.
  10. Pretsy

^your wall of text hurts my eyes.
  11. Pretsy

Seconding, and one more thing tho: I felt like I was listening to a new VAMPS song first when I listened to the preview of "FORBIDDEN BEAVER" (no shit, a sex song, hmm).
  12. Pretsy

It's okay Not necessarily lareine-y but fine. ^^

An album with a promising start and such a lackluster ending. I would have liked this with less "familiar" elements and more willingness to be extreme (there IS "new kind of experimentation" tho, but in such minuscule amounts ). Best songs would be the ones I heard already aka pre-2010 single tracks and among "new ones" only the title song and Swomint song. Not like I am willing to say I have waited for this in vain, but... 6/10.
  14. Pretsy

Oh They could still make it less "out of place" in their art repertoire though.
  15. Pretsy

    Beyonce is judging you atm.
  16. Pretsy

How are In Situ and Tabula Rasa related to some geometry calculation stuff? Artist's explanation doesn't help at all...
  17. Pretsy

Posting these without commentaries because I felt like they were very expressive about album's content Kuroyume - Mayoeru Yuritachi ~Romance of Scarlet~ Merry - Under-world Buck-Tick - 13kai wa Gekkou also: Luna Sea's Image, Eden, Mother (conveying the same-ish theme) Gazette's Stacked Rubbish era singles (Rorschach theme has been done better before)
  18. Pretsy

    Everything Nakata-related, also Ringo Shiina.
  19. Pretsy

In terms of non-vk stuff though: Tokyo Jihen / Ringo Jihen have very spectacular PVs, very entertaining too tbqh Beaucoup de Bruit pour Rien, I like the mix of cultural themes Brand New Civilization, it's just plain silly but still funny Gips, very artistic - also, referencing western music videos with a very good taste (it's up to you to guess which POPULAR music vids are being referenced ) Ringo Shiina x Soil & "Pimp" Sessions - "The Assassin's Assassin", I would like to think of this as a continuation to Beacoup...so yeah, a good sequel I am too lazy to write proper explanations for my liking towards music videos like that - a novel-like text isn't really my type of expression, haha. Ps. in case you're wondering, I used Vevo videos here (some might experience access issues )

^ lol really... Six Ugly and Kai (you could at least say what's ~tacky~ in them) ? Thank god this isn't Tonberry/Batsu ´03-06-ish or we would experience a massive havoc here @Hyura: Penicillin didn't really have any GOOD album covers tbqh (Union Jap has horrible one too) - except for Ultimate Velocity.
  21. Pretsy

Agreed. Female vocals don't really go well with certain parts unlike in those in "Stacked Rubbish" or say, "DIM" also, still going with my previous comment - this really sounds like Luna Sea's "Sweetest Coma Again"
  22. Pretsy

Onko tässä sitten jonkinlainen "Mh-miittiehdotus" taustalla? ...yawn.
