I think it's been a good 10 years since I last posted on a BBS, but I've been looking for a J-rock/V-kei community for a while now and I was glad to find this one (figured that if I can't shut up about the music I love listening to I should probably join!).

I'm really into MUCC these days (can't wait for their new album! Just a couple more days!), and really love the big classic geezers (X Japan, Luna Sea, Buck-Tick, Kuroyume). I also love going to gigs and finding new bands to listen to. Thought the scene was dead until a year ago, but nope, still alive and kicking. DEZERT are currently my favorite fairly-new v-kei act. They're unpolished (sometimes in a good way) but give good vibes and have an interesting interaction with their audience.

I'm here to learn (so many bands I've never heard of just from skimming through the site, yay!) and meet new people. So, um, hi!

I also keep the monochrome calendar up to date.
If you need photos of the band to remember who was who, please check out https://vkeishuuryu.wordpress.com. Over there you also find a full list of all releases.

(I will update this post monthly)
And at the end of the year I will share my best of 2017 list

    Darkwater 2017 played list
I will rate every CD, I've listened too.

    JANUARY:
    DEVIZE - CORE-Worship
DEVIZE is a strong band, and those who disagree are not used to real good music!  They are my favorite visual kei band.

    NEiN - DeRECINE
Mega Strong, always good, every song sounds amazing.

Acid Black Cherry - recreation 4
Yasu vocal is always amazing, however I don't really like the songs he covered.

THE SOUND BEE HD - WALKING DEATH

They are back to the sound of which I disliked of them. Still nice played but I couldn't listen it until the end.
Blood Rain was so much greater.

As a follow-up of the previous years' entries, I would like to introduce this thread again. It is a simple way to keep tabs on your listening experiences, and efficient if you were to create a year-end list for 2017 in case you are keen on those. It is an instant reminder of what your favourite records of this year are, and lists are simply fun to keep. The idea is to create a series of ratings (whether that be a five-star, or a ten-star system, or any of your choice) and keep them updated throughout the year. Please try to keep your post compact and easy on the eyes.  — (2016 edition)

I haven't posted in this thread yet, but I was very excited about this package. ( ゚ヮ゚)

Some Diaura CDs + Ains fliers, and then a ton of Gossip stuff. Christmas cheki, regular cheki, and goods from their Halloween "Strange Box" goods set (notebook, clear file, cheki, photo set, group photo, live DVDs, sticker, and buttons!).
