DIR EN GREY always say how their new release is supposed to show the new/true/current DIR EN GREY, or something along those lines. I bet it's in the new interview(s) as well. It was on the mode of documentary, too.
-
Huh, didn't show up in the online dictionary when I looked for "iketeru". Oh well, learning never stops
-
<weeaboo> That's not even a word. It's spelled "ikiteru". </weeaboo>

Yup, and Kyo's reacion was like "uh... my burger..." and somehow, the band found it way too funny, because how devastated he looked or so
-
That stuff about Shinya is frooom VOS, I think.
-
sukekiyo is definitely not the first band I'd go to if I want to listen to catchy tunes.

fun(?) fact: ANDROGYNOS leaked not the release, but the actual event about one year before it took place should the EU version of TIW be released on the same date, I'll buy and up it x
-
For ARCHE, samples were uploaded 20 days before release. For TIW, that day would be tomorrow (6th). Soo samples tomorrow/this week?
-
There will also be a physical European version of the album, btw. Unlike Nok, which was only released digitally abroad, I mean.
-
what a statement to make for me it's a draw between original Fukai and DOZING GREEN (Before Construction Ver.)
-
It's still on vocaroo (where it was originally posted), I just decided to take it down from YouTube because well, it's obviously not cool.

The teaser matches this part of the song: Unlike at 01:55, this time, the ambient sounds appear again in the form of a piano/keyboard(?), or at least that's what it sounds like. A piano key again and again, like "dun dundun dundun dundun". You can hear the dun dundun right at the beginning, dunno what instrument that is. The more recent live version ends after this part btw. So we basically know a little under half of the song now.

Only if it's the same part. And since they know about the leak, I'm not sure they'll include that part in the sample.
-
I still don't know which song the leak was... ><

degbox bestbox sad that it's so inactive atm but yeah, I remember those, but I think from here, actually. They were posted sometime this year, I think.
-
I must've missed it as well. The only "feud" that existed in the past was Dir en grey vs PIERROT. No clue why, though. Toshiya was their roadie after all.
-
Well, yes and no. The date before was May 1, so he had almost two months to prepare and rest until June 23.

https://vk.com/video-558881_456239646 lunatic fest. 2018 live oh hey, another sustain the untruth
-
I propose to call their genre "dir en kei".
-
Good thing they don't know about google DeepDream.
-
Ignore him and his antics, he's just joking^^ But you can't really put their albums into set genres. Sometimes even single songs are from more than one genre. I mean, you could probably call it experimental metal, but only because they experiment with various metal genres all the time.

inspiration? 🤔

Would be cool if it's some kinda glitter cover that does weird optical illusions when you move it. But they haven't done glittery shit since Taiyou, so I don't expect too much.
