  1. i loved vk first around 2001, i loved those bands then even though most of their music and pvs sound and look like they were recorded using a potato.

i lost interest a bit for a few years around 2005-2008 maybe, i couldn't really get into new bands that were forming then, there wasn't much that i liked.

but now i'm completely into it again, i love my new bands as much as or more than bands i liked 15 years ago and i honestly think most aspects of vk are better now (although i agree with what i read someone saying about new bands just having almost exactly the same look as other bigger bands who are popular, that gets boring).

  2. kind of would like to go but there's only one show in this area and it's not on a day i can take off work and don't really want to see enough to spend the money travelling to nagoya or sapporo for the shows on my actual days off.. looks cool anyway.

  3. i always assumed it was just "oooh hot guys" as has been mentioned already. like a lot of people don't really care too much about the music or talent and just want to be a fan of whoever they think is the best-looking at the time and their taste in men's looks changed.

personally i've been a casual k-pop listener for a long time but i'm not a huge fan of k-pop. i enjoy some of the music in a casual way like i'd listen to it while i'm doing something else and buy some CDs but i wouldn't go out of my way to buy merchandise or know the names of all the group members i'm listening to. also i lived in korea for a year and you can't avoid it there and i ended up with a lot of k-pop in my head all the time that i ended up liking. i went to one k-pop show when i lived in korea and it was possibly the most terrifying experience of my life. the show itself was fine from what i could see of it (being in a crowd of 30,000+ people waving their arms and phones in front of me) but k-pop fans in general are just scary..

if i'm going to be INTO a music group though i'd rather spend my money and effort on artists who play instruments and write music rather than artists who memorise dance routines and pretend to sing half the time and are pretty much forced on the general public by big companies with money. i don't have a problem with enjoying pop music, it just feels less worth my money to me to actually go to shows.

  4. i wish more bands i like in general would come to the west (fukuoka or hiroshima) more often. or do instores there at all.

also i wish sads would have been playing at appropriate-sized venues so that their tickets didn't sell out in 5 minutes every time before i could get one.

and i wish mejibray would do photo instore JUST ONCE so i can buy 10 tickets and die happy.

  5. i'm one of these people who thinks it's disrespectful to break a rule whether you agree with the rule existing or not. like if you're a fan of the band then respect their rules even if the rules are made by their shitty management who just want to make more money. rules are rules.

but then i've also been known to sneak a photo at tower records instore since there are no chekis (aaaand sneak photos if i see band guys i like in the street but does this count?). BUT i don't go sharing the photo around trying to get more follows on my blog/facebook page/etc, i just keep it to myself and look at it and maybe show some close friends like awh look good times. like i don't think it's a major issue if you take one or two photos when you're not supposed to if you're only taking them to look at by yourself and remember the day. but when you're blocking the view at a show with your stupid phone and posting your photos all over the internet like LOOK AT ME GIVE ME ATTENTION it's different.

the first time i went to a vk show (which was in europe) and i discovered that they don't allow photos like other artists i had seen before i was of course disappointed but i respected the rules and found out i actually enjoyed the show a lot more not constantly looking at my camera to check if i got any good shots and just living in the moment actually watching the show and paying attention to the music.

  6. i didn't like meto much for a long time but he kind of grew on me from the last few instores i went to (and i started to like mia less i guess).

he can seem kind of like he's being a sarcastic asshole in reply to a question without saying anything.

  7. i'm excited about the mobile club tour (and the current tour) ~~ i joined the ticket lottery yesterday but i never end up getting good tickets for anything. but i'll hope~

nobody talks about meto's new tattoo ?

  8. anyone else excited to see they're recording this week ?!

it gives my heart peace after people kept suggesting that THE END was THE END.

  9. i was recently talking to my girlfriend about bands with stupid names with fruit in them. like loud grape and smileberry, i can't remember what else we thought of but there were a few more.

which led to us coming up with equally cool (as in terrible) band names like cry plum and chuckle peach..

loud grape is my favourite band name though, every time i buy something grape-flavoured i think of them and wonder if my food is going to start screaming or something.

  10. i love the end song so much~~

i was a bit anxious about the title at first but i didn't think they'd be so obvious to disband with that title and i don't think their management would let that happen when they're where they are now. i thought it's probably 'the end' of something like maybe they'll do some other crazy or interesting thing so i'm excited in case they do~ it'd be cool if meto starts talking i guess. my instore interaction with him is always like '*wave**shake hand**leave*'..

  11. i hardly ever send any kind of communication to band guys so i don't expect anyone to communicate with me.

(and i don't really use twitter which is where people try to get attention like this right ?)

morrigan aryu replied to my happy birthday message on instagram but i think he replied to everyone who sent something. there were maybe some interactions with other uncool people at some point.

i occasionally send stuff only to my few favourite people. but it's mostly koichi and he doesn't interact with anyone ever. BUT this one time i sent him a picture of my tattoo on my foot (it's 52 in the same font he has 2 tattoo on his foot) and not long after this he posted a picture on his blog that had a mug in the background with the same font 5 looking suspiciously photoshopped on and i'm convinced he's sending me a secret message though random items in the back of pictures.

  12. i didn't even notice his neck is missing, i was too busy looking at how cute his leg is awh~

i really like hiai, i wish i had bought the regular version (but i only bought type A and B for instore ticket).. i guess i'll end up buying it eventually.

lately i've been liking the third track best and having to buy all three types the last few singles. BUT I GUESS THIS IS THE PLAN RIGHT

  13. i'm happy someone mentions roar here~~
i lived in korea before and went to their shows often and met them often after the show (but we communicate in broken japanese because my korean is not much at all) and they are super nice and their show is really fun. they usually play j-rock cover songs as well as their own songs.
