Got an issue of Shoxx which happens to feature CASSIS, and apparently they formed in March of 1997, so probably 1997 through 1999. And yeah, LECHESIS either seems to be their label or fanclub since its address is also featured in the Shoxx article.

Thank you so much!!! Now I know a lot more

And as far as to how long CASSIS was around for, I'd think they split in 1999 since Yuki formed Double Volante in March of 2000. So maybe 1996 through 1999?

Ohh I already checked this website!! Thank you for helping! What made you think 1996? :)

Thank you but those guys are a different Cassis. The Cassis I'm talking about, the vocalist is named Yuki (Yukinori) and Cassis was a band in the 90s, not 2000's, but thank you so much for all your help. I greatly appreciate it

It's so tough finding out about this band lol

if @robkun doesn't know anything I try to ask a few of my Japanese twitter friends, since this is my and robkun's kind of music I guess one of my twitter friends might know them. (never saw him writing about this band)  But it highly could be possible that I will get some information while asking

If you could that would be lovely. Yes I asked Rob about Cassis already. :) But I still havent found out anymore info on them still..  He knows them though! Thank you for all your help!!

Last year I bought this CD, a band named, "Cassis". I do know a little about this band like their names but that's about it. I found them on Youtube. The Youtube video is an omnibus called, "VHS Approach III". (Just putting this out here in case someone gives me the link to this video that theyre in.) Since I listened to this song, I typed in their name and saw a CD of theirs on Yahoo Auctions. I think this is a rare CD, since I have been continuously searching them up on any auction site (even Rarezhut) I didn't find any of their stuff ever again. I believe I was extremely lucky to get this. I have such trouble finding out info on this band and this CD.

If I can find old photos or maybe more demo tapes, this would be so amazing!! I know the lead singer Yuki went to join Sigmund Freud (any links to their music would be great too... THANKS)

I only have this one CD by them and I was wondering how I can do further research on them? I really love this band. I even began typing Cassis in Japanese, putting the band members names in and typing key words like (1998, Yuki, etc). Nothing... Only a list of places they performed at. There has got to be more info on these guys around the web. I won't give up, I just feel like I need some help. Any help is really appreciated. Thank you so much!!! <3 :) I'll post pictures of the album cover and what they look like. :D

  8. I found this on last.fm:

I'm not sure if this is it but here is another Japanese band with the same name. I noticed how it says Japanese hardcore punk which this video does not sound like. Maybe they changed their genre? If it's not these guys, it's another Japanese band called Nightmare.

Nightmare is a Japanese hardcore punk band. Their discography consists of: self titled 7" (Selfish Records), "Give Notice Of Nightmare" LP (Selfish'89), split 7" with CONCRETE SOX(MCR'91), Be Put To Urge Rise In Yourself 7" (Bloodsucker, 1995), Footprints Of The Wind 7" (Bloodsucker'99), split CD w/ABURANABURI '03, "Early Years" CD (Hardcore Kitchen'05),
"Blood Sucker Years" CD (Hardcore Kitchen'05), "Feel The Breath" DVD (Smash Your Chains'05), Scatterraw CD (Hardcore Kitchen'05), Scatterraw LP (Plague Bearer/Putrid Filth Conspiracy/Hate'06)
Refugee Of Logical Society 7" (Plague Bearer/Hate'06).

  9. Hi I'm late but I believe this is just a band with the same name!! The uploader probably just got confused and thought it was NIGHTMARE (the popular one). It's probably an indie band called Nightmare. You can maybe check last.fm or Google to see if that's true. From reading the Youtube comments on that video, it seems like that's the case.

I also noticed how no one commented on this post. It must really suck to be waiting all the months of your forum but no answer! I hope I made you not worried anymore :)

  10. Old school visual kei is the only thing I will listen to now. Occasionally I will listen to Dog in the PWO and NIGHTMARE (which are great bands btw). I don't know why but even for music outside of visual kei, to me music from 80's to early 2000's were always great for me. My favorite bands are Sleep My Dear, Rouage, NéiL, Missalina Rei, Lavender, Phobia, and Sense of Shape. I also like some indie vk bands from the 90's like Cassis (1998), Rain, Dys ti Quele, the list could go on... I'm even starting to think the indies vk bands were better than 90s mainstream vk bands. Not sure if Sleep My Dear is considered mainstream but I thought they were pretty popular during the 90s.

  11. I once wished KöHey (Sleep My Dear) happy birthday on Facebook. I am Dada's friend on Facebook and sometimes like and comment on his stuff and same with Chro from Velvet Eden but I don't talk to them that much. Oh and I also have Kentaro from DPS on my friend list too. I also talk to Ami from Tokyo Yankees. He's so nice!!! ^_^ Ami (Tokyo Yankees) and Kyohei (Das:Vasser) sometimes like and comment on my stuff. Especially when I post about their bands lol
